Recognize that drastic dividend cuts are not a good sign for a company 0:54
Understand the streaming business is fiercely competitive and has fundamental economic challenges 1:00
Consider how businesses like streaming services struggle with customer retention and pricing pressures 1:26
Reflect on how unique content offerings used to provide competitive advantage as Disney did historically 2:20
Realize that consumer attention is finite and oversupply in entertainment options drives fierce competition 2:43
Acknowledge that talent and agents are often the primary financial beneficiaries in the entertainment industry 3:14
Note that consumer behavior changes, such as reduced theater attendance post-pandemic, can have lasting effects on business models 3:20
Accept that heightened choice and alternative, lower-cost options for consumers increase pressure on traditional entertainment models 3:42
Be cautious of the challenging economics of investing in high-risk ventures like New York stage shows 4:21

Definitely a buy when Warren sows fear and at the same time he´s been buying for the last 4 quarters ``The best thing that happens to us is when a great company gets into temporary trouble... We want to buy them when they're on the operating table.``

Q: Is the thesis that its an acquisition target or based on fundamentals?
A: I'm not giving that answer out for free and everyone will copy me but what I will say is that the fundamentals of the business are not great.
...therefore by elimination it's an acquisition target.

@@Art-is-craft the business model will change to less competitors and less choices for the consumer. That’s the way the entertainment business has to work. The entertainment business had run away too far with offering content on the cheap when they should be restricting to a few players like the old days.
