Shoot Out: Armed Home Invader Vs 85-Year-Old Woman With .357 Magnum

- An 85-year-old Idaho woman stands as a shining example of courage and the power of the Second Amendment after defending herself and her disabled son from a violent home invader. Armed with a .357 Magnum, she kept for personal protection, Christine Jenneiahn refused to become a victim when a would-be killer invaded her home near Blackfoot, Idaho.
The assailant, 39 years old, stormed her home in the dead of night, handcuffed her to a chair, and subjected her to brutal violence, including threats to kill her. But Jenneiahn, undeterred even after being shot multiple times, used her firearm to end the threat in a decisive act of self-defense.
Jenneiahn’s story underscores the critical importance of the right to bear arms. Despite her age and injuries, her determination to protect herself and her family exemplifies the necessity of having the means to defend one’s home.
The harrowing event began when Condon broke into Jenneiahn’s home, pistol-whipped her, and demanded to know where her valuables were. After forcing her to sit in a chair at gunpoint, he left the room, allowing her a brief window of opportunity. Dragging the chair back to her bedroom, she secured her revolver and strategically positioned it near her in the living room. When Condon returned, furious and threatening her life once more, Jenneiahn took control of the situation by firing two well-placed shots.
Although injured in the exchange of gunfire, Jenneiahn survived while Condon collapsed and died in her kitchen. Left bleeding and still restrained for 10 agonizing hours, her strength and resolve kept her going until her son was able to assist her in calling 911.
Jenneiahn’s bravery and commitment to survival are a testament to the critical role the Second Amendment plays in preserving life and liberty.
If Condon had survived, he would have faced charges including attempted murder, kidnapping, and aggravated battery.
Instead, a law-abiding citizen stood her ground, proving once again that responsible firearm ownership can be a powerful equalizer against those who seek to do harm.
The video also shows why I shamelessly tell people to get self-defense insurance through a membership like USCCA.
With a USCCA membership, you make two calls if you're in a self-defense shooting. The first one 911, and the second one will be the 24/7 emergency support team who will literally guide you through the unexpected realities of a self-defense situation.
On top of that, you'll get access to an entire legal network of lawyers who not only specialize in self-defense cases; they specialize in self-defense cases in your state!
I work with USCCA because I believe they have the best all-around membership on the market, but even if you don't choose USCCA, choose something because you might be alone if you ever have to defend yourself, but you don't have to be alone through the legal process.
I think USCCA is the best, which is why I work with them, and they do offer my followers special FREE bonuses to become a member with a 365-day money-back guarantee.

A man should be ashamed of himself for robbing an elderly woman and her disabled son. He didn't regret it for long. Self-defense is a human right.
Shame is for people who have a conscience.
@@whateverjones5473Exactly, the shame should have come about when the THOUGHT of doing this first came to him.
This lady fits the true definition of a HERO. God Bless You Christine.
well said
She didn't pull out her gun and threaten him- She pulled it out, and fired.... a really important lesson for all of us. My grandpa always said, "if a situation is at the point you have to draw your weapon, fire it immediately. Don't wave it around."
The scene in the good the bad the ugly where the ugly was in the tub taking a bath, the guy showed up pointing his gun and the ugly shot him saying are you gonna shoot shoot or talk talk😂
In this case, yes. But in many cases you could be facing legal issues if you shoot at a suspect who'se running away
That's terrible advice. People need to train drawing and not firing too because there are many good reasons both legal and moral to present and not shoot
@@Dave-lh6ws That's pretty regarded.
Did you miss the statistic where the majority of defensive gun uses don't involve firing a shot? What do you say to those?
10 hours!? 10 minutes is a long time to wait for help... but 10 HOURS!?
Bless that woman for being a fighter.
That's typical of the older generation..
Yeh what was this Son doing for 10 HOURS?
@@jarnosaarinen4583 well, i don't know in exactly what way he's disabled, but clearly such that his 85 year old mother felt like she was the one who needed to protect him, rather than the other way around. the burglar might've beat him further when he found him, and, since he gave the phone to his mother instead of calling 911 himself, i presume he also can't talk. i find it plenty believable that it could've taken him that entire 10 hours to get up the stairs and give her the phone, depending on the specifics of what the invader did to him, as well as what his condition was before.
@@jarnosaarinen4583 .. The incident happened during the winter .. So it being cold probably saved the woman’s life .. Slowed her heart rate down so she didn’t bleed out .. Summer time she would’ve bled out .. East Idaho winters are no joke .. Son is in his 50’s and is severely mentally disabled .. He was downstairs.. some Idaho homes are not one room basements .. Multiple rooms .. could be a reason the son didn’t hear the intruder downstairs, or son might’ve thought it was his mother going about her daily routine.. I live local and I remember this on the news and in the newspaper ..
I see you don't follow details well. Her son is disabled. We don't know how far along, but seeing as he handed her a phone, he likely has a very diminished capacity. Considering he had the frame of mind to know something was wrong and someone had to be called, I'd say he did just fine.
She’s a hero here in our Idaho Attorney General’s Office. This woman embodies some of the very best characteristics of our state.
Grandma, you are the gold of the earth. Nothing more precious.
And mother, she was also protecting her handicapped son...
@@jenscheibner792gotta give him props too, for handing her the phone. Bless them
This lady is a true American!!! Grit and ingenuity, the american way!!!
Great learning lesson! As a retired LEO, I will say that even if you live across the street from the police station, most likely you will not have time to wait for a response from the police-you need to be prepared to act swiftly and decisively to save your life.
My grandma was 85 years old when she passed away. She carried a 22 pistol in her purse all the way to the end. She was known to use it if you didn't do what she said to do. My mama carried a 38 and my sister carries a 357. And of course I carry
The average response time of 911 * about 18 minutes * the average response time of a 357 magnum * about 2100 ft per second * Got to love this story. Thank you for presenting it.
THAT FAST!?!? I’m afraid not, _really_ , who told you that and you believed them? Might be a little more like 1,200 fps, depending on load and barrel length. Ikr? If only it were… ☺️😆
@@grahambrown1980 2100fps is possible with a light 125gr bullet but only out of a rifle.
You can walk away from 9mm but you can never walk away from 357 magnum. What a great story of courage and survival.

Reminds me of the story of the old Idaho lady that got pulled over for speeding. When the officer asked if she's armed she says, "there's a .357 in my purse". Cop asks "now why does a little lady need such a big gun. What are you afraid of?" She looks him dead in the eye, and says, "Not a goddamned thing".
😂
Shot placement. She got the first shots off which gave her a fighting chance. She was a better shot under pressure. Can you imagine the adrenaline! He mag dumped on her but didn't hit any vitals. She laid there staying calm and didn't bleed out. Amazing, God bless her. What a woman 🙏
The fighting spirit and determination to stay alive of this woman absolutely puts me to shame. God bless her grit.
This lady should have a 1000 medals of honor,God bless this brave mother.
Thank you for showing us this video. As a retired law enforcement officer I agree that people need to be able to defend themselves, especially in situations like this. Most times law enforcement is either too far away or not even aware that they are needed. We always said that when SECONDS COUNT, THE POLICE ARE ONLY MINUTES AWAY. 5:39
This reminds me of my neighbor back in the mid to late 70s. My neighbors husband had died so she sold the nursery they owned and she purchased the house behind us. Everyone knew her as the little old lady with a beautiful yard. Everyone was made aware of her hobby one morning after a few guys broke in and tried to rob her. She was also in her 80s and had spent most of her free time on gun ranges and in shooting competitions. People need to remember the saying don't judge a book by it's cover
Reminds me of a story I read years ago in shotgun news. There was an elderly lady who was using the ATM when an armed robber tried to force her to withdrawal money. She reached into her purse and shot the perp 6 times stopping the threat and potentially saving her life. When the police asked her why she shot the perp 6 times she replied that's all the gun held. We need more constitutional carry and less gun free zones.
😅😂🤣🤣!!!
Next Time..give her a First issue NORINCO CF-98 with a 20-shot magazine!😅
Sadly, NORINCOS ARE BANNED 🚫 IN THE USA🇺🇲 😢
Couldn't have said it any better
Awesome graphics for this video, Colion! Really illustrates the absolute horror of what this woman went through. Your channel has become one of my favorites.
I live near Seattle. This woman who is a hero would be facing life imprisonment here. Thank God she was in a law abiding town & state.
Thank you Colion, for bringing this event (and the details) to our attention. Our local media has somehow (?) missed it. COLION, YOU ARE THE MAN, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO ON OUR BEHALF.
I assisted a CCW instructor teach many classes. During several of the range time sessions I learned that little old ladies with revolvers (who have never shot before!) are deadeye shots. Don't mess with em!
I am so glad she didn't have her 357 locked up and the ammo stored away from the 357.
Hopefully this will not happen again to her.
The octogenarian coming out of that encounter alive is just tremendous. Incredible story. Appreciate these videos that do not have politics at the center
I only know of one political party that wants to take away our firearms
I saw my father drop a 200lb whitetail with one .357 round, that home invader must've been a gorilla.
I hope the nice old lady is doing well.
You will never see this in the mainstream media. They want all of us defenseless. More of these incidents need to be shown. There are a lot of self defense incidents that never get reported on. Thank you Mr. Noir. I love all your videos. You are a great American. We must never give up our right to protect ourselves. Never give an inch!!!
Some people say if no one had guns you would not need one either, leaves the weak and elderly out of luck
She is an absolute badass. Someone we all pray we can be when/if the time comes. Calm, collective and well calculated. Truly inspirational.
Hearing how this lady fought back to protect not just herself but her son and won against an animal like that really brings a warm glow to my heart.
I truly hope she makes a full recovery. May the Goddess bless her for protecting those weaker than herself.
Thanks for telling the story of this 85 year old hero mother, and how important the Second Amendment rights are to protecting someone’s family and what might happen if she didn’t have her firearm in that house and what a amazing hero this woman is protecting her son and herself, and also showing the importance of the second amendment is to protecting your family how you cannot put your safety in anyone else’s hands except your own in your own home thank God it turned out the way it did and thank you for telling the story of this great hero. And thank you for all the hard work you put in fighting for our gun rights. It’s greatly appreciated.
I heard Christine Jenneiahn said from her hospital bed "He came, I saw, HE died!"
No wonder she survived with the strength & courage she has.
@ColionNoir - the way you're investing back into your channel with the incredible animated art, which is not cheap $$, to tell important stories like this is incredibly inspirational. You are one of the few 2A/Gun CZcamsrs who is making a real impact on securing our rights. Thank you!!
Wow! That brought tears to my eyes. What a great grandma.
Mam, you go and please know we are behind you 110%!!!You are a hero for protecting your family. GOD bless
If Christine lived in the UK that would've been all she wrote and her son. Go grandma! Serving cookies and lead. 😂
America don’t give up your guns. NEVER EVER.
Heck YEA Lady !
That's A Strong Woman. A Strong Human.
A Bold American, She Took A Stand.
How Far We Will All Go Before Standing, Is Up To Us.
2 shots 357 > whole mag of 9mm 😂
Thats why I find these 9mm fanboys (nothing against 9mm!) who are always looking for the newest gun that gives them more capacity so ridculous.
In her later years (her late '80s to early '90s) my Mother lived with me. Our family on both sides never just put the old folks in nursing homes and forgot about them. We younger ones figured out a way to take care of them. Mom was an old "Country Girl" and grew up knowing how to use shotguns and rifles, handguns were new to her. The first time I had to leave her alone overnight she asked me to leave my 9mm with her and show her how to use it "just in case".
I did, showing her that the mag was loaded, and how to change mags (I left her a second one). I also showed her how to use the thumb safety and made sure she knew it was off. Of course, I called her a few times before I got back home to make sure she was OK.
I was a little unsure being without my 9mm while I was away (I wasn't going to be in a "dangerous area", but you never know). I DID carry my .22 Magnum "pocket gun" which can be plenty lethal in a pinch...
Remember "When seconds count the cops are only minutes (or hours) away" ...
I want to be like her when I grow up! I'm only 81. She is the perfect example of Mama Bear, protecting herself and her child. Tough ,tough lady. I hope she is fully recovered, body and soul
I love this story! It illustrates an important life lesson: when predators try to turn you into a target-fight like hell. I’m so glad Christine had her revolver and the courage not to comply.
THIS STORY NEEDS TO BE ON PRIME TIME TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She kept her head through it all. Nerves of steel. God watching over this brave little lady.
This is why we love grandma ❤❤❤
Thank you Colion for telling these stories. We should NEVER give up our weapons. I’m very glad she survived and saved herself and her son.
This has to be fake news. She didn't have the latest red dot attached to her pistol.
This happened on our side of the state (Eastern Idaho). One thing not mentioned is that Christine had had previous interaction with the Perp through her Pawn Shop, which is where he most likely got the idea that she was a "good" and easy mark. Also, her disabled son wasn't exactly in a position to help his Mom out due to his disability. What's truly amazing is that at the ripe old age of 85, she was able to survive, despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds, and laying for hours bleeding. She very well should have died. The perp was a local man. He, of ALL people, should have known that, in Idaho, the lion's share of people WILL be armed and willing and able to use their firearms. I think it speaks to the desperation of the perp that, in spite of all of this, he STILL thought that he'd be successful robbing her. He could not have been more wrong. It turned out to be the worst decision of his life. Recounting this story still elicits laughter and derision for the stupidity of this man, and a deep respect for Christine.
So proud of this lady. This is what a mother does for the safety of their children.
I service the hospital she was taken to and all the staff was ranting and raving about this badass. I'm just a contractor that shows up 2 times a week and even the cleaning staff were talking about her for days.
Wow, that’s Awesome that she came out on top! So glad that she had the courage & will power to take care of her family! That’s what it’s all about! Stay ready for anything, no matter where you’re at in life! Most importantly stay prayed up! The word says that we’re to watch as well as pray! So always be praying & on the lookout!
The ATF hates this story
I’m in Canada 🇨🇦 and I want the right to bare arms !!!!!
So apparently 9mm still isn't doing it... How many rounds in that mag vs the 357M? Seems like power vs capacity for the win!! Go Christine!!
Divine intervention. God gifted her with some amazing gifts and talents. What an incredibly strong and resourceful lady. "Shall not be infringed."
She played it so cool and calmly. I am glad she came out ok and he didn't.
This is one tough lady, I deeply respect her!
Christine is a great American Hero who gives me determination & hope, thank you for sharing her story!! 💯💪🙏🇺🇲
Holy crap, that is an awesome story! God bless Christine, I hope she makes a full recovery and may she serve as an example to others: An honest citizen with a gun, trained to use it, is the best deterrent to crime.
Anybody has the right to defend their homes from any and all threats,
Just shows you that keeping a gun under your pillow is useless. She didn't have time to fire before the dude terrorized her
I can remember hearing a story like this a few years ago where an elderly lady's home was broken into and she shot the intruder. Stating “I'm old and may die from a accident or illness but I refuse to die from some punk breaking in my house.”
Thank you, Christine!!!
Absolute respect ma'am!!!!
Amazing story, amazing woman. Thanks for sharing as the media would never report this country-wide.
I saw this on the news and listened to the 911 call. Proof mama bear mode has no age limit.
When you say "tougher than nails" and you don't even come close to describing the toughness.
Shall not be infringed!
She is a hero. And you are too for your program. Thanks
Genius presentation with good graphics. Thanks Colion Noir for your dedication to defending our Constitutional rights to self defense.
Thank you for being pro gun, a necessity in these times.
My daddy taught me well, God bless him. Don't mess with Grannys. I want my kids and grandkids safe at every moment. Therefore, I keep backup. That's all I'm gonna say as I sit on my back porch crocheting, with a heavy item right by my yarn.
Sitting down 😂 why did her son wait 10 hours to hand her a phone? Poor dude was probably thinking mom died
Ather 10 hours her son sees' her on the floor dying than hands HER the phone to dial 911? I don't understand why he didn't dial 911.
Before you attack an elderly person remember that life in prison isn't going to be that long in jail.
God bless her soul, she was thinking about her disabled son the whole time
Wow! Thank you.
A gun and a parachute have one thing in common...... if you ever need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.
Good for the Elderly woman. No to any firearm laws
People in power will never know this element of life or the necessity to be able to defend yourself
And you know what probably the worst part of this article, the media won’t show this. I never even heard of it until now that Mr. Colion put it out there. I’m proud of that lady God bless her and I hope she lives a lot more years!!
“When seconds count, police are minutes away.”
An inside joke of my former department in lower NY.
The most impressive part is she sat there knowing she was gonna shoot someone. It takes a lot of calm to not get nervous while waiting
Reminded me of my Mom..
She was very proficient with a small bore caliber pistol.
When l was 9- years old,saw her shoot off the head of a moving Snake 🐍.. with my Dad's COLT WOODSMAN pistol..
and kept some goons at bay with that same pistol when our domicile's safety was threatened.
She passed away when she was 91-.. and was still sharp as a Japanese samurai sword!🗡️ She never slept without a gun under her pillow..
Am 75-now and still keep that pistol under my pillow 😊👍
I love your videos!! Thank you for all you do in support of 2A rights. I don't normally comment, but I want to do my part for the algorithm!! Keep up the great work!
This is a prime example of how accuracy matters
Just don't give a 14 yr old kid a firearm.
A mother protecting her child, with something that equaled the playing field. Good for her
My grandma always kept a 45 sitting on her nightstand next to her bed. It was huge
I shared this one on Truth Social. People need to see and hear more about people that saved themselves by owning and knowing how to handle firearms!
I’m very proud of this lady protecting herself and her children
I will hold my breathe until I see this on my local news !!!
This poor woman I hope she makes a full recovery and good on her
I've always said you are your first self defense in an emergency...It only takes seconds for something bad to happen. It takes 3-5 minutes for help to arrive.
This is what my argument is about gun control. I do believe that having a license, just as having a license for a car proves that you know how to drive. People like my sister are dangerous. She knows nothing about guns. One night when the Bart burglar alarm went off, she ended up shooting the wall accidentally. She doesn’t know how to hold a handgun. This little lady had knowledge and she knew how to use it.
I have my gun for protection, three different ones for different uses for protection.
i absolutely can't believe she had to lay their, wounded, for 10 hours and didn't succumb. That's completely insane, especially at that age
I think Aerosmith needs to sing "Granny's Got A Gun". She took charge of that situation and responded to the threat. Good job!
I personally take two things from this story that I give many thanks to Mr. Noir for sharing. One, is how recilient the human spirit is to survive and second, the age old debate of which caliber is better.. the bad guy dumps fifteen rounds and goes to slide lock and an eighty five year old lady still survives. Amazing, also thank the lord she did.
The narrator is excellent. The video fits the story. Well done. Keep up the good work
Wow you really outdid yourself making this video. Very professional and as always rich in content. Glad that the old lady survived
Wow. Love the story telling and the animations. She was a badass for sure. God bless her.
