  • This is my honest review of what I think of the Ooni Karu 12. Along with my review, I recorded my first 2 live unedited cooks and posted them. I am absolutely blown away with the performance of the Ooni Karu 12. Makes for a very fun and enjoyable cook!

    Got my Karu 12 about a month ago. Love it. I'm sure you've figured out be now to keep shaking the pizza on the peel with a little flour and it won't stick. Also, turning peels work great so you don't have to take the pizza out while cooking. Great first 2 pizzas! Great video! Enjoy!

    Those looked really good Dustin. Not bad at all for your first time. I always see people put corn meal on their pizza peel and they slide off pretty easy. I got my IR thermometer at Harbour freight for around $25 and it goes up 999° Great video brother 👍

      thanks man!! it’s definitely a work in progress! 😂 I’m going to try the meal next time for sure. I ended up getting an ink bird IR. haven’t used it yet but supposedly goes 1000+ so we will see how it works out!! hope you have a great day man!!

    I love the personality and energy of your channel. Might I suggest a simple wireless microphone set from Rode or DJI with a lavalier mic to go with it. Let us hear your commentary loud and clear.

    Those looked great! And fantastic idea to use the smoked pork. I'll have to remember that. Definitely try corn meal or semolina to put on the peel next time. It makes pizza slide like its on wheels.

    That's a couple of great pizza's Dustin! I don't have one but I hear the pizza slides off a wooden peel better than the metal one? Can't tell you for certain, that's just what I've heard. Great cook, looks like you are going to enjoy it! I enjoy mine, I just haven't done a video in a while because it would be like a rerun LOL! Love it!

    What a nice addition to your open-air smokehouse! Man, that second pizza was super-scrumptious looking to me! I wonder if they have some sort of wheel-like (Lazy Susan) accessory to make turning a little easier? Just a thought.

    Can you add wooden pellets to charcoal instead of stick/block of wood?

      You know, I honestly don’t know. I’ve never really even thought about doing that. I don’t see why you couldn’t. I will definitely try it and let you know soon. I may even do a video on that question. Thanks for asking. Now I’m curious! 😂

    I've been making pizza in my Z-GRILLS Pellet Smoker. Hard for me to want to spend big bucks for a pizza maker, maybe someday. Justin, do you not have a PAPA Texas Sticker? Hope all is okay

    Looked really good Dustin..can you send your pizza recipe to my Instagram...I like trying different ones...and that pizza not sticking to the peel is a pain I started using a pizza screen helps not burn on bottom and no stick the more toppings the harder it is to get off sometime I'll make the dough and put it in oven for a few then add toppings then put back in
