  • You can fool Penn and Teller but you can't fool me. Brilliant sleights by a brilliant mind for sure. Good job Mahdi! I have never been interested in oil and water until seeing your performance on fool us. Now this is the type of puzzle I like to solve. Step up your game Penguin & e (and has anyone heard from 11 lately? its a strange thing)

Thank you for showing us how he couldn't possibly do it.

There is no way Mahdi could do slight of hand without fingers.
PnT are familiar with oil and water..
This was something new that they couldn't figure out since mahdi didn't have fingers.

OK, so, you definitely have it all worked out. It's a pretty simple trick really and wouldn't play at all for a person with hands. However you have to admire the guy, firstly for being able to control cards so well with no hands, but also because he uses his disability to enable him to do things that a person with hands couldn't. For example, the second time through he flips the pile on the table to supposedly show that the cards there are red, black, red. However because he has no hands you don't get to see all three cards. You let him get away with it though because ... well ... the poor guy has no hands. However it is vital to the trick that you don't see the fact that it's actually just two red tens on the table and no black card at all. If he had hands then when he did that you'd immediately think it was suspicious and the trick would probably be spoilt. In his case though you let it slide and don't really think about it. To me that is genius! A good magician uses every advantage they have and that's what this guy is doing. He uses his disability to make things look accidental, when in fact that are the core of the trick. I really admire this guy and tip my hat to him...

indeed. thats what thrilled me so much about figuring out how this was done because I was watching sleights I had never seen before and reverse engineering them. So much fun

not really. Cause I thought it was strange that he could do all that stuff with the cards, but he couldn't show the 3 cards?. However I still had no idea how he did it. I really liked it.

this is the traditional way to do the Oil and Water trick, he does 2 versions of the trick on Penn and Teller. The version he does first is the traditional way to do the trick which is what you are showing how to do here, however the 2nd version he does on Fool Us is when he puts all the cards face up. I have figured out how he does this method and the way he does this one is not how you are showing in this video.

the 2nd time he has to be doing something when he puts them in his mouth. he pulls 3 down from his lips. he had to have somehow taken the cards he wanted from there

@@davidmiller9760 he stuck a red card to the black cards, you can see when he stacks the cards together before putting them to his mouth, the 9 is slightly to the right along with the black cards, and theres only 2 reds on the left. And when he reveals the black deck he taps the table I think because the 9 was showing? But then when he flips over the red deck to reveal, you can see its a 10 on top, but when he puts the black deck on top and spreads them, a 9 is on top

Dude you are so rude to the people in the comments. You also tried stealing thunder from a guy that overcame his disabilities. Weak.
