A tribute to my favourite actress - the supremely beautiful and exceptionally gifted talent that was Gene Tierney. The music used are excerpts from the score of 'Laura' (her most famous film and role) composed by David Raksin. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Why was this woman so underrated? Her beauty is insane!
Bellissima attrice come una bambola finta forse una tra le più belle del secolo con alida valli in italia grazie del video ❤❤❤❤
What an honor to be named after her most famous movie. My mother loved her that much!! She will forever live on in my heart. 🌹🌹🌹🌹
She's so beautiful it's hurts RIP beauty 🙏🏻❤️
What a beautiful tribute.I watch a Gene Tierney movie every evening. What a beautiful lady.
Gene teiney suffered similar problems like Vivien Leigh, both had
Shock treatment, and both were
Gorgeous looking.
Shes very beautiful! Kind of reminds me of Lauren Bacall. Gene Tierney was a very versatile actress.
She was drop dead gorgeous!!!
Gorgeous woman. Beautiful video!
The most beautiful woman in movie industry ever
Incredibly beautiful and talented. 💜
Very classy tribute for the most classic mesmerizing actress of the silver screen, 👌 ❤
Such a fine human being. Loved her in The Ghost and Mrs Muir with Natalie Wood and Rex Harrison
Very beautiful video. She had such a magnetic presence onscreen. Loved her in all her films but most especially as the enigmatic Laura.
Absolutely wonderful tribute for the beautiful and talented Gene Tierney.
It seems to me because her career peak was from the 1940s & to early 1950s, too many people either have forgotten or do not know of her exquisite beauty. (Thanks for the reminder and quality video, Claudia.) Gene Tierney definitely deserves an equal place on the "Mount Rushmore" of Hollywood beauties.
Is it just me ? Many of these actress's back then were gorgeous, a natural beauty. And without a doubt, Gene Tierney is a beauty. Just watched the movie Laura(1944) last night.
Whenever I heard David Raksin's theme, I always think of Gene Tierney. This video summed that up perfectly. Thank you for the reminder of the beauty, intelligence and talent of Gene!
She is so beautiful!
A beautiful tribute to Ms.Tierney. "A face that could launch a thousand ships."
Such mesmerizing eyes
She played the role of a wicked woman so wonderfully in Leave Her To Heaven 👍
Most beautiful actress of all time
Gene Tierney was very beautiful. I always liked her movies, especially "Dragonwyck", "Laura" and "Leave Her To Heaven".
MonroeSmile, your tributes to classic Hollywood actresses/actors are wonderful :)
You may see "Heaven can wait" with Don Ameche and "Razors edge" (I may misspell the name) with John Pyne and Tyrone Power. She was phenomenal in both of these movies.
Thank you for this video because I love her so and I wish she was still here. One of the great beauties and epic actresses.
What an amazing tribute! She's about my favorite, and you've showcased her here to absolute perfection. Thanks to my friend Susan for sending to me, but biggest thanks to you MonroeSmile for this production. It is really superb!
+varadero1839 Gene was wonderful and to hear that another fellow fan thinks I have paid tribute well is the best thing. Thank you for your kind words! Best wishes, Claudia xx
I hate to say it but I had forgotten how incredibly beautiful Ms. Tierney was. Cannot believe it's been 30 years since we lost her.
Claudia, this is your second tribute to Gene Tierney. Both beautiful tribute!
At home among my dvd, I have two of her films: "Laura" and "Leave Her to Heaven" Her beauty tied to her fragility have immortalized the face of this beautiful woman. The Laura's soundtrack is still one of the most recognized and appreciated theme! Wonderful tribute with a surprising final!!
I have always felt Grace Kelly was the most stunning old time actress....I am not so sure any anymore
This was so beautiful. I loved that you used part of the score from "Laura"- the music in this video already reminded me of Gene Tierney's beauty which made this video even more powerful. Your editing was absolutely sensational and I loved your scene choices- you definitely included all of her most beautiful moments. I also loved how you changed the tone of the video with the change in the music at 2:57. So good! Your work never ceases to impress me :)
Thank you lovely. Praise from you means so much :)
She will always be my favorite actress and so beautiful ❤
Happy 99th Birthday Gene Tierney! You were a real beauty and you had talent too! I love all your 40s films. I think you were highly underrated.
Beautiful shots of this unforgettable beauty. Her
Carriage, I heard was exceptional!!! Moved with
The elegance of a cat. But
All in all, she was exceptionally CLASSY!!!!!
A superb tribute. You got all the best shots. Thanks a million!
True, but i'm still waiting to see a shot of her where she looks anything short of out of this world. Probably THE most photogenic woman that ever lived.
Very beautiful tribute, Claudia! So many close-ups! I think Gene looked her best in "The Shanghai Gesture" and "Laura".
I have her autobio which I'm going to read.
Frank Sinatra said that one of the classiest things he’d ever seen in his life was Gene Tierney walking into a Broadway theater one night wearing a white mink jacket. :)
Thank you, Dina! Love that Sinatra said that - would loved to have seen for myself :)
*****
Oh, I wrote incorrectly, I didn't mean Laura, I meant Leave her to Heaven))
I have read Genes Autobiography and Just finished Oleg Cassini's book ''In My Own Fashion'' it gives a good insight into their time together...
That was on the premier opening night of the 20th Century Fox production of Somerset Maugham's ''The Razors Edge''. Sinatra was among all the stars on the night, Gene is shown, on the Fox Movietone News of the night making her entrance on the DVD's special features I have of the movie Darryl Zanuck pulled out all the stops for the Premier on this one it is a very good movie. The remake not so..

Gene Tierney was one of the most beautiful women on the silver screen. Her sculptured cheek bones and beautiful expressive eyes was too much more me to handle lol. She was also a great actress who is a bit underrated. Mostly known for her beauty. Leave Her To Heaven, Laura, and Dragonwyck are my favorites.
I was so excited to see another video from you, Claudia!! I didn't want it to end... :) Gene was so gorgeous and very underrated. That face.... Just wow! Thanks for this treat, Hun!
Thank you for posting! My all time favorite actress.
Thank you for an enchanting, poetic tribute! For me, I think Gene is most beautiful in Shanghai, Sunrise and Tobacco. But in every film, in every scene, and every second, Gene is classy elegance. It's impossible to go wrong with her images. Timeless beauty. Sometimes just freezing a moment in time lasts for eternity. I love the entrance at 0:40, her head turning in the images after and music pacing the images 0:04-1:37. The music from her legendary role fits her like the shimmering gown in the final scene in Shanghai. Then fade to black and back again at 2:59 with Gene emerging from darkness and the slowed down Laura scene. Of course, her original bad girl from Heaven (a fallen angel?!) at 3:58 with the shades intently staring and plotting, jealousy becomes her muse. Laura must be eternally grateful, smiling from above, Claudia!
Un superbe montage vidéo, pour l'actrice la plus belle et la plus émouvante de tous les temps. Merci !
Her beauty and poise, truly underrated, her talent as an actress evident in every role she played. A true American icon deserving of the highest acclaim yet few acknowledged her for the brilliant mega star she was and the genius of her work. A truly beautiful tribute with the iconic theme of Laura melting us with every scene. Her mesmerizing stare was present in every one of her performances and one could feel the pain behind those wistful eyes and glances that emulated from the tragedy of her personal life. Thank you for this tribute and thank you Gene Tierney for the great contributions to American cinema and American culture.
There are fabulous channels like this, dormant for years, and I'm afraid to ask why. I waited for each new video with great enthusiasm, and I was never disappointed. All talent and class.
GENE TIERNEY, FOR ME, WILL ALWAYS BE LAURA HUNT. We must thank the late great David Raksin who composed the music for "LAURA".
Elisabeth Taylor, viven light, gene tierney, Hedy Lamar the most beautiful actrizes
Spot on my apinion is no l Vivien Leigh 2, heddy Lamar 3 gene teiney 4 Ava Gardner 5 Liz Taylor
Gene was the most beautiful of Hollywood stars no plastic surgery so Botox back then. Unlike todays so called stars. She had pure Class and elegance. I wish more woman were like this in today's modern world woman dressed so beautifully back then loved the fashions of both men and woman proper Stars xxxxxxx❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
this is such a beautiful tribute to gene tierney
She is the reason God created light. So we could all see her beauty.
Nicely done
Gene made wonderful films!!!
Awesome
This was WONDERFUL! I'm always impressed by your videos but this has got to be one of my favourites simply for the subject matter. I love Gene and you captured her talent, beauty and mystery perfectly.
i love this so much. Thank you so much for making this. She was so pretty and to think I only seen one of her movies.
Really enjoyed this! Very beautifully done!
such beauty!!
She is only a dream
Era la belleza perfecta, pero antes de eso era una persona y no tuvo la paz que merecia tener. 💜
my favorite.
She was stunning.
Fantastic
Could identify the soundtracks ....last one I recognize
The combination of beauty & evil was never juxtaposed on film as well before or after that scene where she lets the kid drown ! Demanding extreme emotional tornadic turmoil from the viewer !
And she did it all only with her eyes which changed emotion in a split second. That is virtually impossible to do for any actor, even the lauded greats, both men and women of the stage and screen.
Her beauty was so powerful that unfortunately it simply overshadowed every other dimensions of her personality. The parts this actress played seemed to over accentuate something that didnt need to be, which was her beauty. Saddly, too much beauty tends to fade everything out about a person, which is why i think gene tierney was overlooked. Marilyn monroe had a combination of traits both physical and psychological that are quiet rare which is she remains until today an icon.
Hard to believe she was real.
Gene tierney. Is so beautiful
♥♥♥♥♥
Gene was so beautiful that when she entered a scene she sucked all the oxygen out of the set. She lost movie parts because other actresses did not want to play opposite her.
One actress who did play opposite to Gene Tierney in Leave Her To Heaven was Jeanne Crain who so elegant and lovely herself.
So sad so loved
she was lovely
Oleg Cassini Genes one time husband said in his book, '' In My Own Fashion'', Grace Kelly was beautiful but she did not have the striking beauty Gene had...and he should know having also dated Kelly.
Man, it was well known Grace was a slut but she *really* got around...and I love her, especially with Grant and wish they could've done more movies together.
Laura 🌹
Gene Tierney is really feminine and elegant. She is the last endangered species of American actresses with all graces. There are no successors to her today.
So we’ll said. Her beauty brings me great joy. Such an icon a marvelous star.
I imagine Rebecca, the late Mrs de Winter, looking exactly like Gene Tierney!
I imagine Vivien Leigh...whom her lover and soon to be husband, the great Sir Larry Olivier, wanted her as the second Mrs. de Winter but when you watch their screen test, it's clear she still hadn't dropped Scarlett from the year before and was definitely more domineering like Rebecca...like Scarlett would be but super evil. So Olivier resented and hated Fontaine which Hitch encouraged to further alienate her which helped her performance of an insecure, mousy, naive, unsophisticated young woman.
I remember seeing gene in the ghost and Mrs muir and I instantly thought who is this woman, such a beauty it melts you... Claudia are you Italian ? I'm from Scotland myself.
My friend knew her
LINDA, MINHA RAINHA. FEZ DUPLA COM GLENN FORD NO FILME - MULHERES EM PERIGO!!!
Used as a beauty signpost to make money, she was rarely given rolls than would make her immortal like Hepburn or Grace Kelley.
Interesting thought, a movie of Genes life it would have everything, and in the right hands it could make a good movie. Kennedy, Hughes, Prince Ali Khan, Hollywood and all it's failings and intrigues. Tragedy, Meteoric rise to Stardom and a Fall into that abyss of despair and pain bordering on Suicide, and like the mythical Phoenix to rise above it all find love again....Kate Winslet would be my choice to play Gene how about your choice for Gene.
Ffs r U serious a very average looking actress to portray arguably the most beautiful woman that ever lived, get an efn new brain dumbass.
@@jrewing2383 oh well what an enlightening reply, you must understand it is an actress that Gene was she did not want recognition for her natural beauty alone, and in any portraial of her life story surly an actress of calibre, such as Cate would have the humility and sensitivity to Gene's persona.
I would not seek or desire to respond to you, other than to your obvious respect and appreciation of Miss Tierney life and work, but alas your breeding and upbringing has left a. Considerable void in your character, if the only way in which you can express your somewhat juvenile thoughts are to use expeliteves like DUMBASS,.
There was a lot of tragedy in her life.
what film is 1:32 from? that looks quite a modern costume design choice
Heaven can wait
What’s the name of the film at 2:10
Son of Fury: the Story of Benjamin Blake (1942)
@@jmh27 thank you, I've seen the film by now!
