I never was a big Seiko fan because of their insufficient properties. Now taking the look and not to repeat Seikos mistakes is a nice gift to the watch community I think. Btw: Again a very professional video, without leaving out any important details, very nice work! Thanks for that 👍👍👍

I'd hate to disappoint you, but the internals of the Cadison are Seiko.

I think this is a nice option. Its specs show what can be done for a reasonable price. Even at twice the price, it's an upgrade to the original watch in all but design (which is obviously copied). It shows just how much Seiko has lost respect for their work, and for their customers.

Thanks Al. That's very good value for the price and with the Seiko movement, it's even better! I actually have the orange dial Seiko GMT, which looks very close, though I'm one that's not a cyclops fan and I actually changed the hardlex with cyclops on it for a sapphire crystal with no cyclops!, I actually do like the all the colours, but as I have the blue Seiko 5 and the orange. GMT, I'm going to put that green one in my basket now! Excellent review as always.

I regulate my NH35's on my timegrapher and usually manage to get the beat error to either 0.0 or 0.1 without too much difficulty. I find that the amplitude usually goes up a little when the beat error goes down. I also regulate the accuracy. I fiddle around with going back and forth till I get my sweet spot of +5 to +10 sec/day on the timegrapher as I find when wearing, that translates to about perfect timekeeping.
This is the most appealing Cadison I've seen to date. I already have an SKX, and enough SKX homage mods that I don't need another in this style but if I was coming in fresh, I'd be looking at one of these for sure.

When regulating to +5 to +10 s/d, what position are you using? Dial up/down? Crown up/down? My beat error is about 0.3ms so I want to see if I can lower it before I regulate the speed. Thanks.

Great review as usual. I own two SKX (one luckily grabbed on a domestic online auction for a great price (including an unused Strapco bracelet) just before they were discontinued, and an ugly modded one I'm still figuring on how to mod to my own liking). At an 11.11 AE sale I also couldn't resist a fun Heimdallr homage in titanium, with a dial having hands and markers design from some other Seiko model. That dial is orange as well, but darker than this one. It's almost like it was modded from the factory.
My point here is that I really like when these AE brands make homages with some interesting design changes, like with the 40mm size here (and of course with better specs than the original brand which these days constantly is upping their prices).
I have a couple of Cadisens and while not always perfect I really appreciate their value for money. I definitely wouldn't mind both this beautiful orange one and the cool totally black version as well. Considering magnifiers: I'm partial, sometimes I hate it but somtimes like here it works for me.
Also hilarious that the SKX homages now have a better movement than the original. Keep up the good work.

Its 95% copy of the original :) Its not a homage, but a copy. Admittedly, it may well be of similar/equal quality, and its great that its a tad smaller also. Its still a 95% replication of the original, and thats a fact.

nice except for the cyclop. a 40pm diameter is great since the tandorio 37mm has too short lugs and normal skx mods are 42/43mm
Genius move from Cadisen. They nailed the orange, Seiko has the best one and this one seems identical. They should add an option to personnalize the logo :)

Hey Al, liked your review & the look of this watch so I ordered the orange dial variant. This was to be my first Cadisen & all the reviews I've seen of all Cadisens were all good. Picked it up at a really good price in the sale, £41ish & was looking forward to delivery. How disappointed I was when I unboxed the watch, the bezel was really loose and wobbly and moved off it's seating easily, the bracelet and clasp were marked & scuffed & the overall quality was not what I expected. Needless to say it's gone back for a refund. I have the Addiesdive Willard homage which I picked up at a similar price & the quality of that is in a different league to the Cadisen I received. Maybe I've been unlucky with this particular watch but it's made me wary of ordering another Cadisen.
Sorry to hear that mate but glad to hear that you got refunded. I think you just got unlucky this time, as I have had several of their watches and never experienced anything as bad as you've described. Great that you received an Addiesdive that you're enjoying, they make some very good value pieces.
Get the Tandorio SKX instead. Nh36 day date, much much better made, and price is cheaper. I have the white dial version, and wow!!
Tandorio make some great value watches, several of which I've reviewed. But I only buy the sterile versions, as I don't like their brand name. Sterile dials suit some watches, e.g. pilots but it doesn't suit their SKX homage IMO. I wish that they'd just put their logo on their dials. Thanks for watching 👍👍

It's a missed chance. I can't look past the misaligned bezel, although you could argue this is to pay homage to a Seiko! And I don't mind cyclopes provided the are well aligned (✅️) and made of sapphire (❌️)

What Seiko should have done with the range
I'm surprised they never made an upgraded version of the SKX, like they did with the Turtle or Samurai. Instead, they downgraded it for the SRPD line.

That looks good value, although I do doubt the 200m rating as the watch is thinner than an SKX. I would have to remove the cyclops!
Yes, the claimed 200M W/R might be a bit ambitious on Cadisen's part. Mind you, Casio claim the same for the Duro and that's even thinner I think. Thanks for watching mate 👍👍
@@TimeForAnotherWatch The Duro has an advantage with a slim quartz movement, most nh35 200m watches are 13mm+. I have a Tandorio that is 12mm thick with an nh35 and claims 200, I wouldn't dive with it, but I did test it to 50m and it was fine. 👍

As AliExpress brand names go, I think "Cadisen" is OK.
Would have preferred the NH36 day date version.

Is it safe to remove the Cyclops using the heat method?
I've never done it but I've seen several "how to" videos on CZcams. Looks quite straightforward but I guess it's a case of proceeding slowly and carefully.
