The Nutty Professor (1996): Eddie Murphy gives the "performances" of his career playing no less than seven roles in this uproarious Jekyll-and-Hyde comedy from Imagine Entertainment. Murphy stars as Dr. Sherman Klump, a kind, "calorically-challenged" genetics professor who longs to shed his 400-pound frame in order to win the heart of beautiful Jada Pinkett. It’s actually really scary the more you think about it. The formula can not only create a separate personality, but it can actually try to get rid of you entirely.
If that formula were to be amongst the public, there would be chaos on the streets, and the fat cells that were turned off would eventually find themselves in other areas creating Body horror akin to David cronenberg.

One of my favorite things in film is when they have to film separate things for inside the movie. Like, that film crew had to shoot Buddy's recording and then they played that inside the main movie. I love the little nuances of movie making.

I agree that this movie was loosely based on Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde in a comedic way.
I think it’s way scarier than Jekyll and Hyde because unlike Hyde Buddy is likable and fun to party with. However what makes it more frightening is if the formula would be distributed amongst the public it would cause untold chaos on the streets.
