Black men, one man smoking, standing on grass. Black men talk to young skinhead boy. Man dancing on the grass. Black man rapping into microphone, mic, MC, dub. Young men sit listening. Great shots.
It’s criminal that there isn’t this culture today. Absolutely fascinating period of musical and geographical history
As pure as it gets.. Bigup to the person who kept those tapes and digitized it!
That was my good old mate Mark Easton we grew up in Armoury Way Wandsworth togeather he was always into film and ended working as a professional film editor this was filmed out of our flats.. we knew all these peeps.. he kept these tapes for years, then digitized for his channel Pixinc.. The Kinolibary ask him to use it for their Achive because this is very rare footage.. Mark sadly passed away in 2021 RIP
They had some classic real hardcore dub reggae beats back then Jamaica and London together in the 1980s with those 1970s beats with echo dancehall damp reggae the soul will bow down to the beat🇯🇲🇧🇷👍🎒
Even though I am not of the rastafarian faith, it was a powerful moment in time when locks were a symbol of being proud of the way God made you. It's so sad what is being put out for young people to aspire to. Especially the boys 😳
The good old days. Not saying life wasn't hard cuz it was, just that tings was simpler bk then. Those old enough knows. Respect for the upload. 🖤❤💚👊🏾💯
i really love this culture so much..
Oh how I love this ❤️ born 1980 raised in stockwell and this was very much a blast from the past, times were defiantly more straight forward
I am going crazy seeing all this footage in really good quality, " Leroy smart in the background..
Amazing ..
Smiley culture days 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
RIP Mister Palmer , Tragic loss , Very good mc
Gravação sensacional, uma cultura incrível que influenciou o mundo no geral, principalmente a música.
It’s sad but this generation is fading away
They been faded away. These were my '"big homies'" as it were..(I was the 13-14 year old running around during this time--tryna impress) ha ha they was last generation that wasn't technical. Thus there has not been anyone representing the Dub on social meia like it should be. But MFers know what it is. #RespectTheDub
Would be nice to have this life style back . Im here trying to run my sound system got nuff tunes . And it hard plus the younger generation not interested its a shame cus alot of these younger black kids its there roots . Im 31 and i know say this my roots
@@YourFreeBeats Yeah loved the the different music scenes and fashion in the late 1970s to mid 1980s yet the past 25 years have been the same old shit both charts like Coldplay or the Grime bollocks underground.
