I was born in 78 and I loved the 80s growing up I wish I had a time machine 😜
Think most of us done
@@Channelnemi got 13
I just found this video on my feed. Loved it! Brought back so baby wonderful memories.
Love this video. Thank You
I was born 1971, but could only get 10 out of the 20. I recognised around 4-5 others, but couldn't place them. So long ago, my memories aren't what they used to be. Thanks for the recap!
This was fun - you need to do more videos like this pal.
17/20 as a child of the 80s I am pleased with that score.....Thanks another excellent quiz
Really enjoy your vids
Thanks, glad you enjoy them
I was born in 1983 And you can't beat 1980s music or the 1980s movies I love 1980s music
Yeah the 80s was great....we have a live stream coming back soon on Monday nights which looks back at the old Now that's what I call music albums. We have covered pretty much all the numbered Now albums from the 80s but the old live streams can be found here czcams.com/play/PLjzSHbH3F8_bsl9WIYluhCDwr7odyl5xW.html
Same
I was born in 1967 so the 80’s was when I became aware of things.
19/20 - didn’t get Up The Elephant & Round The Castle, but being born in 1982 helped a bit, as well as Forces TV showing a load of obscure stuff (it’s showing Mothers Ruin at the moment which I never thought I’d see repeated, and I recorded the last two series of Shelley from it). Great quiz, cheers!
Excellent score well done
Really good quiz. Brought back some memories. Scored 17/20.
13 out of 20. Thank you very much, I thoroughly enjoyed that.
Glad you enjoyed it and not a bad score
17/20, pretty chuffed with that! How about old sports show themes if you haven’t already done that one? E.g. Grandstand, Ski Sunday, Sportsnight, etc...
That is a very good score. Great idea about sport shows will add that to my list, Thanks
Grew up watching 80s TV - got 14/20.
And I bet you think that today's TV isn't a patch on it. Good score
13/20 - pleased with that.
What about some sports/football quizzes in the future
Not a bad score, well done
I will be looking at Sports and Football quizzes so keep checking back but the next quiz is more about styles!!!!
Born 1978, Scored 18/20. Didn't get "Up the Elephant and Round the Castle" ( never heard of it ) or "Just Good Friends ( Familiar, but evidently not with the theme tune ).
Got 16 of them right! Nr 13 was the best comedy ever - my absolute fav 😀 Nr 8 has always got me confused with that one and To the manor born. Finally, love your accent mate!
Yeah I used to love 13 when I was a kid but haven't seen it in years.
Good score though
@@Channelnem 1.Last of the summer wine.
2 hi-de-hi.
3 only fools and horses
4 blackadder.
5 duty free
6 watching.
7.i
8 yes minister.
9.
10 brush strokes
11. Sorry
12. The 2 of us
13 Allo Allo
14 ever decrecing circles
15 young ones
16 in sickness and in health
17 shelley
18 dear john
19 bread
20 just good friends
18 out of 20 ive never heard of 7 or 9
The bells at the beginning marks the Yes Minister version.
Seriously? Number 13 was literally just repeating the same jokes over and over. Number 3 was infinitely better.
10 out 20 some of them I had forgotten about and a few I hadn't heard of, but a good quiz
Thanks
14/20. Surprisingly good as I was very small in the 80’s!
Good score, probably childhood memories of some of these shows
So was Ronnie Corbett but he had his own sitcom.
I only got four but many of these never ran in the US - but I have the Young Ones and Black Adder on disc - also got Yes, Minister and ‘Allo ‘Allo which I still watch and find extremely funny with the well timed repetitions.
Enjoyed that, good subject matter. A respectable 16 for me. Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it...more than just respectable 16 is in the upper echelon of scores. Thanks for taking part
I managed to get 14/20 myself. The 80's was the best decade especially for TV & Music 😎😎
Good score, if you like 80s music we do a Livestream every Monday night at 9:30pm (UK time) where we look at the Now albums and the scores which were about
@@Channelnem 😊👍🏿
10/20.dude,some were so hard,never mind,do some '70's show's please.
Great post. I’m happy (ish) only dropped 6. All others I got correct.
Was born in '73 and only got 8, but I'm from New Zealand and have never lived in the UK. We did get many of these shows.
16 great Quiz btw
I only got 2, but I'm an American, so...I WOULD have recognized "Are You Being Served?" and "Keeping Up Appearances" if they'd been on the list.
I am thinking about doing a American version when I get some spare time.
I grew up watching "The Young Ones", "Benny Hill", "Monty Python's Flying Circus" and several others, that are still so damn funny! ....."Unfortunately I only got one right, and that is number 15 with,....
"The Young Ones."
I'm looking for the British Comedy "Outro".... everyone is using on their "TikToks."
15 is still a good score, well done
Managed to get 19, Filthy, Rich and Catflap was the one I missed.
Excellent score
15 out of 20 I'm happy with that. The video's theme tune is abrasive mind
Good score, yeah think of changing the channel theme tune
Omg I got mixamatosis, n got 8🥺😁 great blasting frm the pastings tho 👍🙏keep em coming
Glad you enjoyed it and hope you got some medication for your mixamatosis. We have some other quizzes which may be up your street and more to come
Good quiz, good fun.. did better than I thought about 15 right.... Couple there I've never heard of... Something and a cat flap ( seriously lol 😂)
Good score, it was the show between the Young Ones and Bottom for Ade & Rik
I scored 11/20 - Duty Free and Just Good Friends recognition was a huge surprise. I haven’t seen either of them since their original broadcast and I was, at the most, 6.
Now ask me what I had for tea last week - total blank…
The mind’s a funny thing.
You have just described getting old
11/20. Not bad considering i grew up in Canada and was a kid in the 1980s
17/20 Gosh this brought back some memories 😁The ones I didn’t know, I never watched 📺
brilliant result
I thought I would do well at this but did terribly. Got maybe five right. There were several others I recognized but couldn't place.
We may have found your musical weak spot
14! Great quiz thanks!
Thanks good score
Jeannie shot JR, she found out Tony was in another show and got so jealous she used a magic bullet in a rage haha
5/20 😢 but I hated 📺 when I was younger 🤣 fun quiz thanks 🎉
I feel young still born 78 that was nostalgia overload
This is the type of quiz that would probably do really well on Tik Tok
15/20 great quiz 👍
Well done
A time of great theme tunes. (Did you notice that the "Yes [Prime] Minister" tune incorporates the Westminster chimes?)
I think it was 8 or 9 out of 20. I was born in 1981, so I'm my defence, not many was still on when I was old enough for themes to stick in the head!
That's no excuse as I was born in the same year
11/20 but 4 i knew but couldn't remember the show title!
Aw, I just got 11.
Bit disappointed in myself, but as I was only 9 when the 80's finished, some of those programs were probably "too grown up" for me at the time. 😄
Others, however, I still watch to this day.
Still an OK score maybe try our 90s theme tune quiz
15/20...Some were very familiar, but now I'm nearly 50, my memory is failing me! 🤣🤣🤣
Nonsense, 15 is good score
some i remembered in the first note, others i recognised but didn't remember the names, ones i didnt know were ones i didn't watch
But what was your final score?
@@Channelnem15
@@stevek6432 still a good score
not bad. seriously 16/20
Not Bad.....one of the better songs we have had on this quiz. Well done, thanks for watching and taking part
considering i spent the whole of the 80's playing football till it was bed time i got a respectable 14 there , thx for the upload , enjoyed that , think i'd do better at kids program's from the 80's ?
Thanks and I am glad you have enjoyed it...we will do a kid's theme in the near future
18/20 chuffed with that!!
I did fine on the sitcoms I used to watch but dreadfully on the ones I didn’t watch🤣🥴🤪
16/20. Not too shabby.
I would say better than not too shabby
I got about 6. I hardly ever watched telly in the 80's cos I was always out with my mates having a laugh or at gigs. I remember my mum and dad being glued to some awful shite like Hi Di Hi.
Yeah some of the humour in sitcoms ala Hi-di-hi isn't great these days but some of the TV shows now aren't either
@@Channelnem Oh yeah, with you on that mate. I remember watching Ever Decreasing Circles for the first time a few years back on Dave or whatever it was. I loved it cos it Richard Briers was such a typically British pain in the arse character! :)
15 as well. A couple of them i knew but it just wouldn't come to me too.
Good score
only 8 out of 20 and yet I loved the tv in the 80's!!.......i blame my memory!!
Maybe too much partying in the 80s are to blame??
I got 18/20. I recognised Filthy Rich And Catflap, just couldn't think of the series. Didn't remember Jim Davidson's comedy shows theme at all.
Excellent score
I got a poor 8, but great video mate !!
Thanks for taking part, why not see if you could do better in one of our other quizzes czcams.com/play/PLjzSHbH3F8_bCrUw-gyOa8KyfMVpwHb_-.html
14/20 great quiz
Very good
Great video. I got 14 out of the 20 right. Surprised I got number 6 as I'd forgotten about that one 👍
Good job and top of the leader board as it stands......My wife was the same about same about number 6 but as soon as the song played she knew exactly what it was from
@Coin Patrol - I got 14 too!! Pretty happy with that 😃🧙♂️👍
17 happy with that. Good little quiz
Thanks and that is a really good score
I am 67, and I could guess only 4 out of 20 poor show .
My most favourite program was yes minister and yes priminister. I still watch it on u tube and still enjoy it.
I think it was the best comedy series ever produced by the B.B.C. ..
Just in case anyone was curious, Kristen Shepherd shot JR on the show Dallas
Got 15, but recognised another, just couldn't ID them...How about Sci-Fi themes (starting with the obvious Doctor Who). However, you may need to delve into American Sci-FI stuff Like Land Of The Giants and Lost In Space (as well as another obvious choice, StarTrek)
Good score and thanks for the idea sci-fi show theme songs will be a good category for a future quiz. I have added it to the list of future quizzes
Didt know a lot of these maybe watched to many American sitcoms. Obviously knew Only fools and Horses.
No worries, was thinking of doing an American version of this quiz when I get some spare time
How could I not get “ever decreasing circles” 19/20 🤬 Bouns half a point Christen!
Excellent score, well done
Just means I watched too much TV in the 80’s 🤣
Really enjoyed this, thanks. We managed 16.
Thanks and a good score
You didn't tell us who shot JR. It was Kristine Shepherd!
Bonus point to you it was Kristine Shepherd or Bing Crosby's daughter
Well I got 3, I’ve not heard of the vast majority as I live in Oz and they were not shown here.
I love quizes like that put more on I was abit of slow on answers but I love t v quizes and more
A lot of shows now on TV Gold 🌸🌸🌸
18/20. Didn't have a clue with the two I missed. Number 7 and 9.
excellent score
11. No excuses. I'm just a bit rubbish.
Last of the summer wine is my favourite program ever
I got 16, child of the eighties. Is it sad that I recognised Paul Nicholas singing the intro to Just Good Friends? Jan Francis though...........
Good score and not sad but knowledgeable about Paul Nicholas....also a lot of people have said that about Jan Francis
Pleasantly surprised with 16/20
Well done, good score
I got 19 out 20 just got filthy rich & catflap wrong but loved the quiz
Nearly perfection, but that was probably the hardest one to recognise
11/20 Thanks Geordie fella. I enjoyed that. I've got a 50th this weekend and your quiz has just become my contribution. We're over in Keswick if you fancy delivering your work in person!
Well done! Wish I had seen your comment sooner could have made a special guest appearance at the 50th birthday....hope all went well and people there enjoyed the quiz (I am a mackem rather than a Geordie but I will let the insult slide seeing as you enjoyed the quiz)
i got 16 really enjoyed that
very good score, thanks
Got them all except 7, 8, 9 and 12…
I got 15. There were quite a few good sitcom theme tunes, weren't there?
Think 15 puts you top of the leader board, well done.
Yeah some good theme tunes amongst these but theme tunes were so much better back in the day even on kids cartoons - Willie Fogg, Mysterious cities of gold, Dogtanian and that's just the tip of the iceberg
Can I get a extra point for knowing number 10 is by Kevin Rowland Featuring Dexy's Midnight Runners🥺
Go on I will let you
I am now a happy bastard. cheers.
You're welcome....always happy to help
Nope... didn't do well at all, but having grown up in the States I don't feel too bad. Have since grown to love Only Fools, Black Adder and The Young Ones.
Nevermind, at least you never got zero.....maybe I'll do a US one in the future that you'll ace
@QuizzersTV - All of those are absolute classics in 🇬🇧 Del Boy is one of the greats 😃🧙♂️👍
Number 4 ..do you have to get the precise series of blackadder 🤔
I'll let you off with any of the 1st 3 series
Considering I watched all but 2 of those I did crap scoring 10! Enjoyed doing that though.
Better luck with the next one....have you tried our 80s haircut quiz?
15, not bad I'll take that.
Not bad at all
Radio ones? Then I could share with my blind friends (who don't listen to much TV). [You'd need to speak "one", "two", etc.]
I will have a look into doing something like these in the future
18/20..missed Up The Elephant, and Shelley
I would class them as some of the lesser known themes
14/20. Born in 81 so a few were completely lost on me.
Great vid. Only 12 correct for me.
Thanks and not a bad score
Yes. Suitably impressed with my efforts... got em all right.
Will have to try and make the next one harder
@@Channelnem make it 5 seconds. That'll do it🤣
@@richhughes7450 and if you get all them correct I'll keep on reducing it till it's only 1 note
@@Channelnem lol. Thanks for your quizzes, thems fun. Soooo many mems.
I got about half of them, the others I never watched. I watched Sorry but missed the theme tune. And am I right in thinking Yes Minister and To The Manor Born had the same theme tune?
20 out of 20, I played it to my Ruthie and she got 4, which is very bad, as we was watching Only Fools and Horses at the time.
Perfect score, well done Nigel.....however Ruthie must try harder
The only two I didn't get were 'Filthy Rich and Catflap' and 'The Two of Us'.
18 is a very good score
identical to me although i should have got The two of us
16
Good quiz
Good score and glad you enjoyed it
7/20 for me. Oh dear, I should've done better but I still had fun!
Glad you had fun that's the mean thing, maybe you will do better in one of our other quizzes
I'm American. Was hoping for Dr. Who theme. Got 0.
Better luck next time, maybe try one of our other quizzes
18/20 (with one educated guess)
Trivia question. Which one of these sitcom themes was written by the the guy who wrote lyrics of Phantom of the Opera?
Tim Rice? or Andrew Lloyd Webber? to be honest I haven't got a clue maybe Sorry?
@@ChannelnemThanks for responding. Answer: Theme number 6. Charles Hart was the main lyricist for Phantom. Aspect of Love also I think. He also wrote music and lyrics for theme number 6.
18/20. Couldn't remember the title of Watching, and never watched Filthy rich & Catflap.
