- Hey everyone!
Since Halloween just passed and i inadvertently made a pretty sick Halloween costume i figured it's time for an update!
The suit is...Done! (ish)!
The electronics work! I can wear it all! The helmet is motorized! Its just awesome and amazing and i can't even begin to express how happy i am!
The level of "Complete" from the last update video to now is huge and i apoligize for that leap. Defeintly could have used another update in between this but hopefully this video explains enough!
I think next update video i'll break down the electronics even more to really show how the systems work in more detail for you all! As well as a full-real time suit up!
Here is the Mark 85 V5 Helmet from Akira Yumming!

Currently printing a MK85 helmet myself. You have been a big inspiration! Can’t wait to use some of your tips and tricks to build a suit (or at least parts of it).
Man I’m glad I just found you. Waiting for the update videos would have killed me 😂😂
Hahahah I bet. They were slow at first
im working on a mk6 suit myself but im glad to see that the thought i had of being able to have a simple system that can still work without a arduino system ...can be done i appreciate you continuing making these videos you've given me more confidence of completing my mk6 suit without knowing code
The second helmet stop switch you can put in the back of the front(gold) so when it go's up it will stop as soon it touches the top (red)
To tell the helmet to stop opening, add a strong magnet to the top corner of the faceplate where it goes near the helmet when opening. Put a NORMALY CLOSED reed switch inside the helmet. As the faceplate opens, the magnet will trigger the NC reed, opening it, breaking the circuit in the same way a limiter switch does.
Your work is beautiful btw. I love your outside the box thinking. I am an arduino nerd myself, but your "no-code" method is genius. I hope my reed suggestion helps in some way. I think it would be much easier to use a reed instead of a limiter switch due to that flick at the end of the faceplate opening. I'll get a video of my Arduino rescue helmet on my own channel eventually. I haven't uploaded in forever.
That is PERFECT! Dude to the helper arm actually stopping halfway through the opening I can’t add a limit switch there. So a magnet and Reed switch through the helmet itself might literally be PERFECT! I didn’t even think of that! That you so much!!
Like no like. I love this stuff. I’m glad I picked this path and it seems to be helping more people get their feet wet to start
@@FranklyBuilt glad i was able to inspire you. Your videos certainly inspire me. Your motivation and eye for detail is amazing.
Ive been waiting for this...IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!!
Love your content❤️, you’re such an inspiration!
Love it, especially the helmet and the Infinity Stones!
OMG that fking amazing!! Congratulations man u deserve it
The suit is 🔥🔥
Now that is what i'm talking about! Great video enjoyed this one!
Awesome
It. Just. Keeps. Getting. Better!!
9:52 "It's NANOtech. Ya like it?"
- Billionaire, Playboy, Genius, Inventor, Philanthropist...yeah Tony Stark
Awesome video man! 👍
really liked this one. more in depth update video and we get to see the whole suit plus its features in the same video which hasnt happened in a bit.
Wow! Awesome work. B)
Amazing work 😍🔝🔝🔝
I'm printing mk39 and i'm waiting your updates
Brother, you are inspiring the future.
I love it 😻
Honestly this guy has been a very big inspiration because I have always wanted to 3D model stuff but it’s super hard to find that energy for me to start
Wow super clever
It is so cool
Wow I really love ur suit... It gave me some insight on how to build mine. But I guess u should try and make it fly just like Ironman that's the most difficult part but am just waiting for that day lol....
Meravigliosa... sempre più grande
I acc love this, here from tik tok btw
Same here great stuff
Me too
I love
Yo is there anyway you can do a tutorial on that new Crashworks hinge system you show? Trying to follow that PDF tutorial is kind of intimidating for someone with no experience (Wiring/Programing/etc.). LOVE THE VIDS!! KEEP IT UP!
Yeah lol guess you missed the part of the video where I said I’m making a tutorial for it 🤣 soon my man
Hey there!
Question for you, Frank: do you use one or two relay switches for the motors?
Your helmet is tighter fit then I thought I was concerned with my helmet being to small but yours gives me hope. Do you ever pinch skin in parts bending like elbows or knees? This was a super informative video. Have you thought about a simple inner back cover so you dont rub up on the wiring and boards? Is that servo in the forehead the one you recommended a few videos ago? The Crashworks one?
So yeah my knees pinch bad right now. To the point of bruising. But it’ll be okay. I’m working on that lol and the wires in the back actually don’t touch at all! Which is awesome for space and airflow. And the servo is the mg90s
Lindo as armadura , como funciona o propulsor dos braços , digo aquele Leizer no punho .
If you ever need reference for the helmet interior let me know. I have pics of the MK33 interior from Legacy Effects.
I have similar ideas like having a mechanized motor to open & close the mask & having light up features but idk how to make them work, I’d say maybe I know 5% of what to do. Same thing with The Hacksmith, I have the same ideas but I’m not that smart.
You can always learn
AHOY
Why no links to the flip flop switches and what did you use in the palm
Where did you get full suit print files from?
What sadoring iron do you use
What’s the name of the yellow you’re using? Trying to make a mark 42 suit and don’t think normal gold is close enough
Incredible man!! I have been building and painting RC airplanes for 30 years and seriously impressed with your skill! So I looked up the files you used. Just curious does it come with the fingers in movie accurate shape now? I see he has the Gauntlet with infinity stone sold separately with the round fingers like the actual suit , so not sure if he has updated the full suit with those or are they still square fingers like old versions.
Hey! So yeah it comes with the round fingers but they’re awful lol that’s why I used the square ones. And thank you so much!

Haha well that sucks! BTW I just ordered the 5 Plus after watching your videos. $80 off for Black Friday. Getting the metal extruder and Capricorn tube. Can’t wait to try it. Use an Iron Man helmet to test settings as a first print right? Joking! :)
So idk how to do this nor do I have the resources to do this but I have an idea on how to make a real flying Iron Man armor. As a kid in 2008 I thought abt making a jet pack but it was just 2 liter sodas hooked up to a backpack & u put mentos in to. Then I thought abt a jet engine but where the hell was I gonna get that? Plus they get really hot and weight a ton.
*but I’ll save my new, better ideas for myself
does this reed switch system mean you have two wires in the thumbs?
Awesome video.
Quick question....
Do u have an stl for the gauntlet glove?
Or the back of the glove where the infinity stones go?
TIA
Do3d.com
Hey Frank hows it going...
I have a ? about the battery pack on ur ironman suit...which one is the one you use? I was trying one out and it turns out they have and auto-off function which wont work after it turns off.. havent tried it with the relays yet but will those make ot turn on? TIA
what printer are you using and what brand of pla?
1:41 "Ow!"
Ow?
@@FranklyBuilt Faceplate coming down.
Oh it doesn’t even touch my face haha
@@FranklyBuilt Seriously, you do good work. You made it look effortless making the armor look form-fitting and not bulky.
@@LokDesaad6 thank you so much! It’s been such a trip
Yo! You should built a mandalorian suit
Nahhhh maybe a helmet but not enough of a fan for the whole suit
I have a quick question, what type of 3D printer do you recommend for beginners with sub $300 budgets? Also, what should you know before buying one?
Creality ender-3 for sure! I have videos on it specifically
how do the eyes work? like the lights. how are you still able to see through them
Basically tons of small dots and directed lighting
Hey I'm wanna start 3d printing for cosplay and just nerdy decor around my home any ideas for a first printer
Tons! Haha Creality Cr-10s or ender-5 plus
Hey dude great project how much do you think it cost you in filiment? Just looking for a estimate
14 rolls of filament roughly $230~
Can you link to the open/close relay you used?
It’s on amazon. The seller is gone. Search arduino relay
how did you put all the pieces together without wearing the suit?!
Go watch some of the older videos! You’ll see :)
Got a solution for the rubbing points to safe the color, especially the cod piece... use foam. For example put foam inside of the thighs where its rubbing on the cod piece so ther wont be color on color destroying itself, also no more sound of plastic colliding
Soooo it did have foam haha foam and a layer of felt. This was with all of that 🤣
@@FranklyBuilt oh, well. Then i dont know either, sry
@@mavemaggulle6677 oh no problem! I appreciate the idea. It’s just going to take some more work I guess. I wish that solved it lol
Can you show us a video on how you made the helmet go up and down
That’s a very very simple
Button click in Cura. You just use the rotate feature to manipulate it. Not worth a video at all
@@FranklyBuilt ok thanks
Can you buy this?
Hey frankly how long did the suit take to build
About a year
New to your channel. So you have printed this whole suit with a 3d printer? If that is true please recommend me one to buy to play around with.
Yep! I have videos all over the channel talking about recommendations
How do you wear the suit
Check the previous 9 videos in the series. I go through it all
Are there files to the mk85 if so please respond.
DO3D.com
Is 3d metal printing this out of the question?
I Want that my 80 5
I want that 85 suit
can you sent me a link for amazon or eBay for those trigger switches, thank you...
Just search limiter switch
Can you make a video on the stones please
I did in my resin casting tutorial
@@FranklyBuilt ok thank you
@@FranklyBuilt I’m a huge fan and I want to do this soon so I might get the same 3D printers that you do. P
Thanks for the awesome tutorial. I'm gonna start making this one but can you please provide your subscribers with the .stl files for free? The ones mentioned in description are too expensive.
Thanks again!
Thanks man. I means no disrespect but. No. Lol these aren’t free files. You get what you pay for and there’s a reason they cost so much. That’s why I give you guys a discount code
Thanks for the reply but can you make a video or a post telling us which stl you used for your each part for the Mk85. I can see you made a lot of mistakes through the process by using the wrong STLs which obviously costed a lot of money! Please give us links to the exact links of the parts so we could probably avoid doing those mistakes.
Appreciate your effort!
Love from India❤️
Check my discord I have all the links at the bottom
Broooo
Well *HOW did he even make the mask move*
I have a tutorial coming out soon
@@FranklyBuilt of how to make the mask..?
If I asked u to make me a suit like this how much would I have to pay?
A lot lol thousands. I don’t have time to make another I’m sorry man
