I've been collecting comics for only a month and a half. Stumbled onto your channel. Loving the amount of information your channel offers. Keep up the great work. Thank you very much.
"Bendis did some things". Spoken like a true diplomat, Mike! 😂 Also Swamp Thing is a masterpiece. Knowing I'm alone with that opinion, I still say he did a better job then Alan Moore! Don't care if everyone disagrees! And PKJ on Action comics is just epic sci fi fantasy greatness!
Hell yeah. The Swamp Thing and The Human Target are fantastic. I really hop The Human Target sticks the landing because so far, I've loved every issue.
Great choices , Really enjoying Action Comics by Philp Kennedy Johnson. It's a return to form for Supes and it has Supergirl in the book and that for me is a huge plus. Their is one panel that is ripped straight out Superman The Movie (1978) the scene where Superman is stopping the XK-101 Rockets and the artwork captures those homages to The Donnerverse Christopher Reeve Superman films so well and I can't wait to read future volumes. I'm currently reading both Superman by Joshua Williamson which just started and continuing to read Action Comics by Philp Kennedy Johnson and now their is a whole Superman Family team is so super cool. Love your videos as always !!!
This video is so on point. I absolutely love Ram V’s Swamp Thing and Batman The Knight. You’ll love Zdarsky’s Batman. I need to check out Action Comics. Love DC, love this video!
Hey, Mike! Love the way you do your summaries of comics! You always give just enough to whet one's appetite(including the artwork you show- which feels very professional, by the way), without going too deep into the story & ruining the stuff a reader like me would want to find out for myself. Thank you for that! Out of these recommendations, I think my absolute favorite would have to be, "Batman: The Knight." I haven't read any of it, but I loved your review here of it, & it is right up my alley! I know some people don't like to read origin stories once they've read one before(or simply know the character's basic origin from pop culture- movies, games, what have you). I, on the other hand, love origin tales, even if I think I've read enough of the character's background before to know what I "need" to know. I love origin tales that flesh out more of a character's origins- especially if it has to do with his or her training. And Zdarsky, as you said, has been crushing it on DD. I've only read the 1st couple of volumes from his run; but I loved them so much, I went ahead & ordered the rest of his run, up to the "Elektra: The Woman Without Fear tpb(although I will be getting that & any other future trades of Zdarsky's run on DD/Elektra- I'm really hoping his run gets the omnibus treatment(s), & I think it will). Anyways, great video once again, bro! I hope you guys & your families are doing well!😊👍🏻👍🏻❤️
