When it comes to the Internet, one size does not fit all! The amount of speed you need depends on how many people and what equipment is in your home and how you use broadband service. Watch our video to see how to determine how much Internet speed you need, what's the difference between upload and download speeds, what Mbps means, and much more.

    My internet:
45mbps both download and upload speed in a lowest latency (4ms)
    is that good internet?

We have VERY fast local service that is on the mountains near us ...it is GREAT! But only WHEN it actually WORKS...they are plagued by ongoing problems meaning that our service far too often TOTALLY fails ! Yes it is only $70/month for one of their more premium plans ...but DAMN ! WAY too often it FAILS...and yes they always have a simple reason and they do fix it Everytime ...but honestly I am SICK to death of it! I am ready to get LESS for more reliably...just saying IF I go with satellite my numbers will be considerably less attractive ...but IF it still supports 90% of what we DO? I am thinking it will be worth paying twice as much for that...have not pulled the trigger yet but I am SO tempted ...hell I can always switch back after all....

Hi Dougie, Thats a tough call. As we encourage service providers to expand their services we hope things will get better. In the meantime, you might be interested in our latest report on Starlink, take a look: broadbandnow.com/report/starlink-competition-and-pricing/
