They honestly don't need to make the intro slap so hard but they eat it up every single time
Schell Games make some damn good VR games. They also made Until You Fall which is an amazing melee combat rogue-like type thing that's super fun and also a real workout.
Edit: The intro to the 3rd game might be even better, absolutely legendary devs. I hope RT plays it soon.

I sang the intro song "The Spy and The Liar" as part of a band banquet night. It was a lot of fun to really just get into an evil villain persona and really just let loose. Also I way overdid the "HA!".
That sounds really awesome. I can kinda imagine it, and I now wish I was there.
@@lavender3609 It actually was the first performance of the night so everyone was still getting their food. When I said "HA" into the mic, it came out louder then I expected and you could see a wave of people getting startled who were not quite paying attention. Needless to say I had all eyes on me from then til the end of the song!

As a proud former WR holder in this game's speedrunning scene, I can proudly say Dan NEARLY drank as much virtual alcohol as the top players
ayy fellow speed runner, I was third for dying once
I have no idea what is happening in this game so to me it looked like some Evil Bad Guy™ trying his best to have homoerotic tension with some alcoholic agent who has no clue what he is supposed to do
If this plot was made into a novel or film, I would eat that shit up like it was my last meal

honestly I wouldn't blame you, Dan single-handedly dropped the amount of alcohol in current circulation by about 10%
from what ive seen, that's basically the fandom interpretation
I love how RT drank so much alcohol that it got to the point where he was running low on it *in a literal wine cellar*
Things I like about Cloe's editing:
1. **stupid bad person dies** is my new favorite thing
2. When Juniper dies towards the end, the subtitle for him screaming falls with him. Super awesome attention to detail.

I love the fact that RT didn't even realize he was sacrificing himself at the end there, he saw absolutely no issue with turning off the power of the elevator he was in
He didn’t know Von Karma was right outside of the elevator.
I found it funny that he protected his eyes with his hands, even tho you could just close your eyes. VR is super immersive wow.

Fun fact, the devs were actually asked that exact question in a Q&A and they said they just didn’t think of it, but they also said that if they choose that how would anybody be able to differentiate the two when you’re talking about them?

@@RiderLeangle2 Plus the fact that the mask gave you options to switch to different "Personas". And the time Dan mentioned the "mementos" you can collect in the game. Honestly, there quite a few surprising (but some funnily dumb) reference moments.
The thematic ties between the lyrics and Akechi are unparalleled

There is something so comedic about him saying "I deserved this" while pouring a glass, then just drinking from the bottle
We get to see Dan fumble with various hazards once again. Something tells me he’s going to “set it on fire” like the opening says.
Weirdly enough, RT is kind of a perfect match for a bored (basically) immortal secret agent that ends up just enjoying alcohol and bluffing their way through everything

Schell Games have gone all out on this game series for the sole purpose of making it I Want Die’s favourite game of all time
the opening to BOTH of these games are some of if not the BEST openings to ANY VR game EVER.
Honestly no clue which intro I like more, I Expect You To Die is a banger but GOD so is I'll Be The Liar. They're soooo well done.

Why they’d put the lighting manager somewhere where they can’t actually see the stage is beyond me, though /s
I worked in a theater where the lighting console was put in a walkway on the side where the stage could just barely be seen because they had no space for it once, that place was all kinds of messed up
I like how he solved the missile abort puzzle. He skipped the whole "Agent if you do this you may die," speech

The effort that was put in to edit in those subtitles does not go unappreciated. I have a auditory processing disorder and it’s really hard for me to process words so subtitles are a huge must for me.

After watching 3 minutes of your first video on the first game I stopped watching and bought the game. Proceed to finish it in 2 sessions while streaming it to my friends. Loved it so much I bought the second one and did the same. Then came back and watched ur vid again. Amazing games and glad you played the second one too.

a surprising number of vr games are made a gimmick but they really worked to make this one cool

The best idea used in this game was turning the harmless interactables like the food, booze and cigars into actual deadly threats 😂
Speaking as a teatre tech, that first stage is very accurate to what it's like working in some venues

The first game was a pretty funny parody of a spy thriller while also being a fun puzzle game
This game does both of those things while ALSO managing to be a gripping spy thriller in it's own right
The idea of a spy who wine as payment is probably an idea of all time.

my biggest disappointment with the first game was that we weren't going up against the voice signing which sounded like a woman who could kill me with her foot.
my disappointment does not continue because we are facing some swag as hell signer/actor in this game
