- Sharing a roll of Cinestill 800T 35mm film that I shot on a Canon Sure Shot 70 Zoom point and shoot film camera that I found while thrifting. I feel like I kinda messed up this roll, but film photography is all about the learning process so I figured - why not share my mistakes as well? Enjoy!

Those look like scan lines. I work in a film lab and those really look like lines from the scanner itself. If you cant see it on the negative itself, itâs very much the scanning they did. Usually the shop you go to should correct that if they miss it but yeah..
Iâll double check when I pick up the negatives! I really wanna know exactly what happened đ§
Yeah cuz itâs very likely that the film scanner wasnât calibrated. Sometimes if frames are too dark or underexposed they may have scan lines due to the scanner âpicking up thingsâ that itâs trying to make out but, arenât there , and lack of updating the scanner.. yeah.. it doesnât look like itâs your fault,
I hope you get it resolved!
But always remember, if you canât see it on the negative, itâs the scanner
Your photos are lovely!
Love your channel
Just got the negatives back⊠you were 100% right! When I went to the shop, they apologized and said something was wrong with the scanner that day so they redid it and sent me new scans. Funny thing is, I think I actually prefer it with the scanlines đč
@@AudrieStorme Glad you figured that out! I agree with the lines, it adds a touch of Audrie StormeâĄïž
I love how it gives everything this âclassicâ vintage look. It reminds me of good days.âșïž
Ahhhhhh. I just love the way film photos look đ€© Theyâre dusty, but like in a good way, you know?
dusty yet dreamy
Audrie your intro is EVERYTHING !! I keep watching it over and over again đ and the transition from the video to the pictures at 0:17 is just too good !!
duuuude the editing at the beginning is insane!! The pic of you in the mirror and then w the camera, all of it woah
yeyyy another vid, the vibe in your videos is literally everything
thank you for watching đ„șâ€ïž
That intro was the best! Thank you for sharing with us always so glad to see what youâre up to đ„°
Thank you for watching â€ïž been taking it easy this month so I havenât been filming as much, but will definitely be back to a regular filming schedule for autumn đ
I love this video - itâs so cool to see your film journey, thank you for documenting it and sharing it with us! The intro was so good đ€©
Very happy you enjoyed đ„Čâ€ïž
Ahhh your vibe is everythinggggg
Honestly, your intro gave me more authentic 80's vibes than the entire Wonder Woman 1984 movie.
đ Amazin'!
That intro was so cool!
God, this is soo soothing to watch
Missing the "old but gold" memories because of this video. I love your contents so much! đ
I liked this video so much :) the editing was super good, it felt like a movie, the way you show the context of the photo it's great. Also I saw that it was indeed a scan mistake but I agree that the "mistake" added a super cool effect. It feels super nostalgic to look at your photos, like watching an old film mixed with a lot of memories coming back to me. I just want to keep looking at the photos and also your content.
Pro tip: Cinestill 800T is a Tungsten balanced film so it looks best shot in tungsten light. Thatâs why your movie theatre shots, and the car tail light, and the other in the car shots looked so good!! Try shooting another roll in tungsten lighting and let me know what you think!
Great shots Audrie!! Love the look you get from the Cinestill film!! The gas station and movie theater were my favorite shots!!
Her content is so inspiring đ
đ„șâ€ïž
Your content is so authentic i love it so much â€ïž
Ty for watching đ„Č
your aesthetic is âševerythingâš to me
Omg I love this!!! This video is a while vibe and Iâm dying that radio and the car đ© amazing. Youâve only solidified my love for analog tech even more and make me excited to still have an old car in good condition. Honestly Iâd love a whole on just the radio cuz wow thatâs killer
So happy you enjoyed đ the radio is my newest thrift find so Iâm pretty stoked on it đ
thats the best thing about film, its the imperfections that make it wonderful. Now you have photos that will have people asking you how you got that effect and the thing is its unlikely to be replicated, youve got one of a kind photos, this us the main reason why i switched to shooting film only, bless up bro g love di video demđŻđČ
I love this take đ©â€ïž completely agree!! Those little imperfections definitely made it all more special
Your photos are delightful
wow i love it!
This intro is so insanely sick
It looks so nicee and cute đ
such great pictures!
Already the intro makes me speechless
Small world, I saw your Instagram reel of the pictures you took with this camera & I paused it to see which camera it was because I liked the shots in the reel. (Iâve been needing a new point & shoot since my Olympus stylus broke when my house flooded :/ ) but after looking it up & watching almost 2 hours of reviews on this camera I come across your CZcams lol. The pictures still came out nice even with the light leaks! Keep shooting!!
I've got the same camera and will be putting some Cinestill 800t through it. Love the photos đ
The editing is so amazing i-
Thanks for watching đ„ș
Wow i love the editing, cutiepieeeee
It's Awesome đ
Do you use the flash on all the photos? Iâm curious to how a point and shoot handles night time without it. I would assume the neon light ones are without?
I came here after watching one of your tiktok videos on my fyp đđ you made my passion for photography reawaken â€đž
Aww well thanks for taking the time to watch â€ïž
wow. amaaazing intro
Love your video!!đŻđđđœ
â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž
As someone who grew up in the 90s, Iâm watching this like, yeah, welcome to film photography haha, thatâs just how it is đ
your life is like the ones we see in movies
i think it just seems that way because of the editing đ â€ïž
@@AudrieStorme thanks for the response!! youâre so pretty! keep the amazing content up
Do you use any filter from the videos clips that are from the Sony handy cam ?
Sick shootages !
I just thrifted this camera and I was wondering if the camera actually stays off after you close the cover because I did but the numbers are still on the back. Should I take the battery out because I really donât want to break the camera?
Is the flash on when youâre shooting all of your photos?
watching this makes me want to take film shots.
That red bleed is definitely because of the cameraâs light seal. (The black foam that prevents light from entering from the back flap)
my fav is the one you ran in front the theatre
you look so cute in this video!
Practice makes perfect
Do you have to have a computer for them to send it to you digital or can they send it in your phone
the design of the canon sure shot 70 zoom camera reminds me of the olympus mju II zoom cameras!!
yesss very similar!
@@AudrieStorme did you use flash though in any of the shots? they all look soooo good and i feel so inspired to shoot film despite lockdown đ„°
I didnât - I kept that off the whole time so I could see how far I could push the low light on my little point and shoot đ§đ·
BIG INSPO!!
â€ïž
Hi! Did you shoot with flash?
What tripod can you get for this kind of camera though?đ€
it looks like more of a developing and scanning problem. i have friends who tried shooting Cinestill 800T on a PNS but did not encounter this.
Would you consider using a film SLR? I have the canon A1 program and itâs super fun to use. Point and shoot are nice bc you can take pictures so quickly but for when you have the luxury of time for focusing and framing, the pictures end up coming out SO good. I know youâre feeling scared and inexperienced but the process of getting good is whatâs fun to me so I donât mind making mistakes đ„°
Also any tips for someone maybe wanting to start their own CZcams channel? It looks so fun
I actually have an SLR! I just havenât had the time to use it. Most of the time Iâm just getting quick pics while Iâm out/see something I want to capture. Iâm going on a road trip soon though, so Iâll probably use it then đ
Loved the video! But what Camcorder did you use in the beginning? Really looking for a small camcorder that gives you this 90s vibe
Sony Handycam CX405
Hi just wondering what camera do you use ?
Do you have flash on in most of these shots?
Love your eye for photos! Do you have flash on by any chance?
Nope! None of these have flash.
Did you use flash in any of your photos?
Hey, this has probably been asked before, but the car id gorgeous. What's the name?
Toyota Camry LE
why do you have your films in the fridge?
I am camera engineer, you are video very good !!
â€ïž
Most point and shoots will only read a maximum iso of 200 or 400. Meaning that your camera was potentially shooting the film at 400 iso instead of 800. That might be the reason for the film being a bit overexposed/line at the top. Regardless, I think the line worked for some of the pictures and loved the aesthetic!!
Ooohh good to know - thank you so much! When I first saw it I was a little disappointed/wondered what happened, but I think it kinda worked out anyway heheh.
Are you able to shoot in low light because of the film?
yes! itâs a higher speed. but i probably should have used a tripod to minimize the shakiness đ
girl so random but we have the same fridge and I live in egypt lol
fridge twins đ
Makes me laugh when people have a go, you say what youâre going to do so if they donât like it, donât watch it.
Hi Audrie!
My name is Carly. I am the owner & co-founder of CocoCarpets vintage Moroccan rugs company.
I was watching your CZcams channel and loved your videos on DIY & Home decor, one of my favorite topics!
My brand, Coco Carpets, sells vintage handmade Moroccan rugs, and I'm looking to work with content creators like you with very relevant and informative content.
Because my rugs are so unique and tend to be pretty expensive, I typically work with collaborators by sending them one of our beautiful rugs to keep.
That also makes it easier to feature the rug and share your experience with it!
Would you be interested in working with me?
I also sent you an email.
Waiting to hear from you.
Kind regards, Carly.
