I was in a marching band eighth grade but no band camp. I was also in band in elementary school and I also played the clarinet. I once had a solo at a concert we did at another school. I forgot about that until you brought this up! I also used to read alot as well. My mother is an avid reader and she started me as a child. Its so ironic what you said because she said the exact same thing to me about how books could take you to other places and let you see how life is in other cultures and times. I had a bookcase with so many books and its in storage now because I dont have room for it where I am now. I have the book the color purple and its soft backed. I never finished reading it but I love the movie as well! Back when I had an office job for about 8 years I always rented audio books from the library to listen to during the day. It was several of us that did so in 99 and 2000. Ah the memories you brought back!

Interesting tidbit. My 94 yo dad recently watched Flowers for Algernon after asking me to find it on tv app. His 15 yo old dog is named Charly-same as the character & spelled the same way.

I just bought Ann Franks diary. I read it in high school and thought I would reread it
I use a frixion marker, so I can iron it off when I’m done
I have a window seat, library, globe that opens with alcohol and cups. Unfortunately we never use it. It’s filled with books we have read over the last 30 years

Hi question! I'm working on a Stamped Cross stitch, and just spent such a stressful time, getting a new section of my fabric in my embroidery hoop, I just love using it coz it helps me manage a bigger project. Could I use one of those Qsnap frames with it too? It just seems a LOT less stressful of getting the fabric tight enough to stitch. Thanks so much in advance for your answer 🙂
