Was listening to this while I was in the tub. My story is we use to have a black lab called Kim. We also use to have a tortoise. Not sure if you have them in the states. But they are like a turtle and in the winter we would have to put them in a box ; some were dark and they would hibernate . Anyway the dog was outside in the garden ( with the tortoise) mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen. And Kim comes in crunching something. To my mother’s horror she was munching the bloody tortoise. We still lived in London then, so we boarded one of those red buses, with the tortoise and the remains of the shell. Took it to the vets ; and I kid you not.The vet super glued him back together again 😂. A friend of my mums said maybe she thought it was a pie

I started diamond painting yesterday and my neck is hurting so much!

I enjoyed today’s video so much. Thank you for explaining the “family tree.” Your life has been an interesting one for sure. I’m sitting here thinking you could have a lot of resentment & anger in some of your relationships-including you & your mother’s- but no, you seem to have worked through them at this point. Thank goodness you were able to forgive her bc mother & daughter relationships are some of the hardest & most complicated. It’s such a blessing that you had your maternal grandparents in your life. Have you ever thought about writing your autobiography? Not now, bc you’re still working & busy otherwise, but later once you’ve retired. Peoples’ lives are interesting to me & yours has all the makings of a fascinating read! P.S. how many kits do you have in your stash?

Instead of buying a lot of mini books for the tree... you can clear the books off the middle shelf on the bookcase and put those on the tree and put a mini candelabra or some mini art.. you already have lots of books on the shelves... this would create space

Book recommendation for you: All The Little Raindrops by Mia Sheridan. OMG!! Very creepy, cringy, and haunting. Not horror but definitely dark and its a quick read. I am at 85% and can't wait to finish it tonight!.

I love the cross stitch colors & pattern with the exception of the open space at the top right corner of the W. I attribute it to my ocd. My problem of course. 😂 Has it caused problems that you’re open about your difficult relationship with your stepdad-I’m guessing that’s her dad. I use scrapbook paper in my dollhouses. Your flooring looks great! I have never seen that in scrapbook paper; I need to get some.

I would never have even thought of scrap book paper!!! Thats genius. And when you wonna change it you can! You can even cut lil squares for holidays and stick them around. That is perfect. This pattern set is perfect. Bill just doesn't know the addiction yet. But when he works on his boat I know he has to have the special lil things to make it perfect. Thats why he is perfect and enables you. Hehe

That looks absolutely beautiful. I know scale can be confusing but just remember 1/6th scale is barbie size and 1/12th scale is doll house size. Barbie is 11.5 inches tall I think and a dollhouse doll would be 4 to 5 inches tall. Another tip is if you are looking for an item and you dont know what size...measure that same item in your house or look up what it would be online. Then divide that number by 12 and it will give you how big it should be 12th scale. That way when you go to look for it, you will already know what measurement it should be. I also have another dollhouse that I did the wood flooring on. It came in one piece and I had to cut it to fit. You have to cut against the grain in one direction 1st and then with the grain to keep it from splitting. But you are correct about the wallpaper, card stock is much easier. I have used dollhouse wallpaper and card stock in my dollhouse. I used actual wall paper paste (WalMart) in one room and I used YES! paste in another. I ordered it from Amazon. Its really good with paper. Hobby Lobby also carries a small plastic jar of dollhouse wallpaper paste. Im telling you these things in case you ever want a permanent placement of wallpaper. Miniatures is so fun!

Hi Danielle, good evening from Southern California. Love your mini Library. My Grandma Dee used to have little rooms like your library. She painted full landscapes on playing card size cards. I never heard of Million books bookstore. Probably not in Los Angeles County. Do they sell online? I see you teach cross-stitch. My cousin-in-law ( may she rest in peace) tried to teach me cross-stitch, and ended up doing shots of Tequila. Right now my craft is Diamond painting. But, if you have patience with me, or Tequila I might be will to learn. Have a wonderful week Happy Fourth of July.

As far as the Velcro, my advice would have been, and if you redo, it would be to use the skinny long strips and go either vertical on the desk and horizontal on your lightboard or vice versa. That way you can go as far left or as far right as you need to, using maybe six strips going down your desk and two across your light board possibly three

Loving the library! Now you know you’re going to need stockings to hang on the fireplace at Christmas time 😉

I use to work with a woman that was big time into miniatures. Her and her husband made all kinds of miniatures like furniture, foods, Wall paper, rugs you name it and their price were crazy high even back then. Your miniature Library is so cute

Look into the miniverse collection as it is items that you can make that are mini. It is mostly food items but so cute.

I love your mini library. Dollhouses and miniatures are a lot of fun. I have put wallpaper on card stock paper and used double-sided tape to affix to walls. I don’t know what kind of flooring you have, but I glue my flooring to card stock also, so It is easier to remove if I want to change it.

🥰Brilliant idea for putting the wallpaper on card stock! The symbol on the bookmark is for a paragraph.

This little library is the light of the summer. Cannot WAIT to see the wallpaper and the flooring and that VERY cool bookshelf. What fun and whimsy. Keep it up.
