      Can I use the Rv 3-in-one RV care slide -out silicone lube? It lubricates and waterproof, anti-corrosion, extends slide out life. This is the bottle I have.

    I like to take a piece of wood or pvc pipe and cut it to the length needed to make sure the slide clears the campground receptacle, water, sewer, etc plus a few inches. I paint with a bright red paid and lay it on the ground to give me a visual when backing in. This works well for me.

    Nicely done Tony & Tina!! I do have a question - I have the same slide out system, and back when I didn't know any better, I used WD40 on my slide out. We've had no problems but would like to clean that off to prep it to use the CRC-PTFE product. What degreaser would you recommend? Penetrating oil spray, Simple Green? I was going to get under there and scrub the "teeth" as well.

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Hello, the good thing about using WD40 is it works as a solvent, it's a cleaner as well. I would just make sure you wipe off all the stuck-on road debris from the rack and pinion (use an old paint brush and rag) and start using the CRC product. Make sure you lube on both sides of the little gear using the CRC product, that's a recommended lube point. Thanks for watching and Safe Travels!

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question, I use two only on the front axle. Keep in mind our trailer is a 2205s so it’s around 24 ft. In length total.

    Good effort ! Still, in my humble experience, to prevent movement of the slide, putting the jack should be UNDER the axle or springs will not help much, it should have been under the slide floor or OVER the springs.

    Just curious if you use the same lubricant for the power Jack shaft at the front of the trailer?

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Před 2 lety +1

      I have not lubed our jack yet, I don’t think there is any sort of grease fitting. The lube on the outside of the cylinder really wouldn’t help too much in my opinion other than prevent corrosion.
      I’m going to investigate it..Thanks for the great question….

    Hi Tony. My wife and I are seriously considering the same trailer. So I watch many of your videos. They are quite helpful.what are your thoughts on ordering this trailer with the Xtra lift? Its about 2 1/2 inches. Also I'm Anthony and wife is alice..so I'm liking A&A..

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Před rokem

      Hi Anthony,
      The options for the 2023 2205s are
      Deluxe Tri-Fold Sleeper Sofa (N/A 2109S)
      Extra Maxxair® Ventilation Fan and Vent Cover
      Tongue Mount Bike Rack
      Slide Topper
      ThermoPane Windows
      Power Stabilizer Jacks
      Gas Electric Refrigerator
      On our 2021 unit I feel that it has plenty height, we have taken Belle off road in corn fields with no issue.
      If you plan on going off paved roads or have a steep driveway it wouldn’t be a bad idea.
      Thanks for watching! Safe travels!

    I am glad you got to speak with Lippert. They are making terrible products for the sake of their investors profits. Lippert is making a terrible name for amazingly good RV makers like Rockwood!

    • @TNTRVing
      @TNTRVing  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I don’t agree with your statement about Lippert’s product quality, the company continues to evolve to provide a better products. For example, I like how in 2023 lippert started powder coating Rockwood/ Flagstaff frames to help combat corrosion. Was that Lippert’s decision to improve the frame or was it the manufacturer of the RV? Something I’m going to have to investigate..
      I understand that there are issues with RV’s, frames, slides etc. I just don’t feel that it fair to single out one company and blame them for all of the issues. RV manufactures design RV’s with certain spec’s that frame manufacturers have to adhere to. Can they build a frame that won’t flex? Absolutely, but you’re going to need to upgrade that truck. Just my thoughts, appreciate you watching and commenting. Safe Travels & Happy Camping!

      @@TNTRVing I can not express through words how much I appreciate your response! I admit that I was very hurt by Lippert. I have received so many affirmations about their product failures. It will be tough for me to trust anything they do. Do not get me wrong, I want them to succeed! They supply all of the innovative features on my new RV. 🤞
