  • Welcome to the channel and the start of a new project, always an exciting time. In this video I outlined;ine what I have in mind for the completion of the model, the aftermarket I'm going to use and a deep dive into what scheme I fancy and the weathering finish I'll be aiming for. Check out the Sprue Tour I did of this kit, link in the end card.

Great intro into the kit, looking forward to the build. We have a small Hobby Store that has opened over the past year here in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada and he carries Trumpeter, Hobby Boss and Academy kits. I love to support local as much as possible, so I'm looking forward to seeing how your Fulmar is going to go together.

Out here there are no model shops, but I do try to get stuff from my friend's online shop where I can.

Great intro Jamie, looking forward to the build, the only [in service] naval aircraft I have ever seen have been at airshows, and even then they were heavily weathered, I could well imagine those Fulmars would be very weathered.

Not a bad kit, goes together pretty good. The front cockpit is a bit bare, but according to what I've been told by a guy who was in the Navy it's correct. Like all Trumpeter kits they're hit or miss, lol.

It's accurate but very flat, if you've seen my Weekly Update videos you'll know I've added a lot of missing detail and completely scratch built the left hand side wall

A Trumpeter kit, with issues, with accuracy problems....nooooo, reeaallllyy!? 😱😳😲😱😉😆😂
    I still remember their 1/32 Wildcat! 😆😂
Excellent video and the new set up is the dogs sphericals! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
However, I'm still waiting for you to wear a proper Team Lotus top! 😉😆😂

It's actually one of their better efforts but there are some easily corrected basic mistakes. Thanks for the feedback mate.

Looking forward to getting to my kit soon. What wheels did you eventually go with? You mention Tempest in this vid and Sea Fury in the next video.

Tempest mate, said the wrong thing. You'll see why later in the year in a future project.....!

Looking forward to the results. Trumpeter kits generally fit well but suffer dreadfully from slapdash research. Inaccuracies and mistakes happen in all kits, sadly Trumpeter have a reputation for it. How did they ever produce white underwing serial and registration numbers on their Sea Vixen which has... an all white underside?
