As well as building scale aircraft I too love reading the books, great for inspiration and discovering extra detail through pictures.

Well, despite flaws and mistakes, I think you did the kit some justice.

If they keep making new kits in 1:35 that means that people are buying them and a lot of them because otherwise they would have changed to 1:32. From my side I don’t care if it is 1:35 or 1:32. If I like the subject I will buy it. I like to build armor in 1:35 but have planes in 1:32 and 1:48 (they are big but not as big as 1:32 and space is a big commodity) and helicopters in 1:35. I have the classic birds in 1:32 (spitfire, me109, zero and hellcat) and I am planning on buying border models 1:35 planes (they look so gorgeous).

Just as a heads up if it isn't too late: for the Kotare Spitfire I would also highly recommend the Brassin Exhausts, it is one area of the kit where I would say it is a worthy upgrade and save you a lot of time! I also bought the wheels for it as they were only a few quid but the kit ones aren't actually that bad!

Yer I think I'm going to give the kinetic harrier a miss.

Hi Jamie Which Mr. Hobby epoxy putty did you use on this? Super lightweight type, High Density type, or some other version? Great job with this difficult kit!

I could only see a few defaulters one of them commented multiple times.. I think he was a wind up troll with nothing else better to do.. certainly doesn't share his work even if he does any? I think it its a smashing looking kit I have ordered the mark Va and it will be the first Spit kit I have done since a an half crown Airfix blister pack 56 years ago. The design team do the research clearly and looking at build vlogs it seems to go together a dream. Just envy that it is better than the shed on their shelf. other than that turn your phone t'other way mate.

Some nice stuff be interested what you think of the dispae sander sponges. Tempted to get the luftwaffe égale book, I read Heinz knoke I flew for the fuhrer and was great, was so take i even did a model his crashed 109e in the snow still one of my favourite builds but can recommend that if you haven’t read it already

Wow! Reminds of my Hasegawa P-3 build which is on hold for a few months. So much sanding, filling, scribing and such like here. Well done, that is looking far better than it should.

Have you considered using the 1ManArmy paint masks and stencils for the Kotare kit? I know you’ve made roundels and squadron letters before, but the maintenance stenciling that 1ManArmy have done must be seen to be believed.

Your clamps, where did you get them from?

The Extra Dark Sea Grey in the air intakes and fan shroud was only for Operation Corporate Harriers with the EDSG scheme. Normally the exterior colour of the aircraft extended 11 inches into the intakes and from there it was white.

I might rethink building this one. I started the kit but put it back. Desire to build “in-flight”….a challenge on top of a challenge. Great work and perseverance with this build. Bravo.

Yeah; 2 blade-props on such as Spits and 109's just isn't right somehow -wise choice with the version of the Kotare Spit I think. Nice selection of kits -as ever!

If you cut the thin section to the rear of the cockpit and then fill it back in it all fits together a lot better. This is obviously not very helpful now

Nice unboxing 👍👍 Andy at Scale Model Shed is a great guy. His shop is fantastic and always stocked with decent products. Highly recommended. Not far from the Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Tank Museum which is a bonus.

Be very careful with the Eduard masks, they stick VERY well so repositioning can be a pain.
