I was awake when my implants were installed 4 days ago. I don’t know what was worse, the hammering of the implant into the bone, or the s dewing in of the implants. Also, I was awake while he drilled into my jawbone.

In a country with ultra high insurance cost and rent and cost of living etc etc etc ...while I do not begrudge the professionals to charge what the market will bear as they seek to enjoy the good living they worked so hard to achieve? Personally? IF I could not afford it? I would seriously look into having it done OUT of this country! I mean it would be a concern to make sure the foreign professional was doing quality work and using quality equipment and materials, but so long as all that checked out? I think a nice vacation could be in order! How ironic, we use the same application gun for Corian glues lol. Same tips but ours are longer. Corian glue comes in the same type tubes. Very interesting.
Great guide. Really cleared up few concepts visually for me to better understand the workflow. I have a couple questions though. Do you do the lab work with patient in the chair waiting or have them come back while you are trimming away the excess acrylic? Also what if the guy was in immediate dentures for six months and has now resorption and loss of tissue depth or shrinkage and a lot of soft redline in the denture? Do you do a chairside or lab reline to have more intimate contact with the tissue? Thanks.

Ours are more convex so they just kiss up against the gum line and can be cleaned. This is similar to an overdenture it looks like. Still explains the general concept i think. Just more advance ways of doing it, from what i've seen anyway.
No, not at all! We do about 25-30 of these procedures a month between three surgeons. It's just rare what we do here as there are only about 15 surgeons trained in the world to perform this type of surgery on people that get told they have no bone. I just want to reach out to people that are lost/have been told they can't have something like this done. xx

Good description! Overuse of the word "utilizing". Seems that everyone does it these days. How about we consider the KISS principle and simply say "use/using".
Rot what... It's an over denture, this patient has no teeth.... You do have to keep them clean tho, I've seen many with calcus build up where they don't brush the denture.
I am not in the field at all but I am mechanical and have used a lot of dremels etc. If I were in your profession I would invest in a miniature cut off saw where it is like a chop saw that carpenters use but scaled down to dremel. Then you cylinders would be clamped exactly and the blade levered through the piece without having to hold it with your clamp pliers ...that is just so barbaric compared to using something more stable and exact....ALSO the unscrewing/loosening problem is without a doubt cause by direction of blade rotation ...I THINK by simply reversing the side it is held on will effectively have the rotating blade trying to tighten rather than loosen the threaded cylinder.....duuh huh?
its not just for rich people @iRickOshay. It is expensive but can be done for those of us with lower income. I make under 30000 a year and have no financial assistance but with my dental benefits through my employer I have been able to afford getting 2 implants a year until Ihave the 12 total I am aiming for (i would prefer to have all on 6 to alleviate as much bone loss as possible and to try to ensure a higher percentage of non failure due to I will not have the ability to pay to have redone). i have dentures now and they are floating on top of my implants that i have so far. i could get snap in attachments but have chosen not to because of the cost of the snaps that are a temporary situation for me. I figure by the time Ihave all my implants completed it will be time for my next set of teeth that insurance will cover (every 5 years) so i will be able to get the fixed bridges covered by insurance (50%of allowable). Anyway, know your benefits and if you dont have dental insurance it can still be done. JUst get em one at a time. The cost of implants is coming down. Mini implants are a little less expensive but my oral surgeon had stated they had more failures and for basically the same cost it would be better to go with the regular implants. ITCANBEDONE if you are not well off with a bit of determination and time.
You're totally right. On the other hand we do our full teeth in a day which could be done a bit cheaper? maybe even use some of the implants you currently have. Idk how far into your process you've gotten but if you're interested call me 855-544-5089. Mini's are not a good idea only because we get probably half of our patients come in with failed mini implants. Waste of time and money. I wouldn't do this because it look like you still have that bulk and a gap from gum to denture. I would just get permanent caps or bridge and put on implant

Yes it’s only 4oz of metal...... do it yourself and save 30k of money. Yea and heart surgery, cleaning out arteries shouldn’t be that costly either, it’s only a slender inexpensive wire navigated to the heart. My friend you now have a lucrative career ahead of you, you could charge 1/10 the amount.

What is the cost of materials, do you absolutely know? Then do you know the cost involved in the procedure? Do you know lab costs? Do you think the lab technician should be paid for his time and expertise? Then do you think the operator (doctor) is entitled to a fee for his time, skill, experience, education? And if so, how much? Not to mention his staff and overhead ( the facility, insurance and numerous other expenses, just like any other business). Yes I’m curious what would be an acceptable fee in your mind?
It's definitely an investment however i wouldn't advise leaving the country in case there's a problem after they're placed. The cost of a flight and board back and fourth would be more than having them done here. Plus they're still very modern. Probably at least $20,000 US. I just had 4 implants put in my upper jaw. My dentist quoted me $20,000,so I said I’d go with the partial bridge because it was $10,000. But when I got there he said he was doing implants at no extra charge! He really wanted to try the All on 4!

Bulk of your cost will be the implants, the anesthesia, the reduction of the bone. The denture part is cheap. And you cant use a converted denture forever. You need to be super duper careful. With implant RETAINED dentures, if you are eating something you shouldnt be, itll affect the denture AND OR the implants versus on conventional dentures (like what you have) your denture would just pop out.
I work construction: For on project material cost kappel dozens baks spend round 2 lb screws different types cost together $29:47. And must often with screws i secur things vere dependents somebody's live. I don't make $ 1000. How hi do makes 15k or 30k from 4 screws. And some plastics.!!!????..
It’s puzzling that these clever people lack proper fabrication skills. I am amazed that this fantastic process relies on dremel technology ! The trimming of these cylinders is very subjective, no numbering, no targeted cutting medium (carborundum “joe dandy” blades) no degree of cut angle specified. These are just some of the make do approach I see here. The process has many aspects that need control measures. The single most important aspect is safety, there are far too many opportunities to severely injure the fingers and thumbs during these dremel activities. There needs to be specific air driven instruments that can clamp the medium to be cut in a defined method that does not create sparks (metallic blade technology is abundant) gives predictable replication, is easily performed and is extremely safe. I am not a dental surgeon, nor a doctor, I am a general sheet metal worker. Your welcome!
Jangle Jim, ever had a filling or crown prep on your teeth? I ask this because your point about injuring fingers and such without proper clamping the medium etc tells me you haven’t consider what a dentist do day in and day out. Dentist drill and cut teeth millimeters from your tongue, gum, cheek and other teeth multiple times a day without any “clamping”. Yes its all freehand, because it has to be. This is all done mostly often with a awake patient and a wandering tongue. Now you can start to appreciate the hand skill involved when drilling in the mouth. This chairside stuff without a moving, swallowing patient is, by comparison, very easy to stay safe. Thanks for your concern. And your comment about predictable replication is not applicable as every cylinder has to be cut to a custom height per the contour and thickness of the adjacent denture material. Your dremel technology comment is funny. What do you think a dental handpiece(drill) is?
yin shah Im glad you think my comment is "funny" you have obviously commented in a defensive mode, I expected this, just because things are done "day and day out" doesnt mean they sre less dangerous. my point is that while watching these processes I see many opportunities to introduce a more rigid and robust method, similar to how we work in my field, that offers a level view, easy operation and a predictable outcome from activities that could benefit from mechanical assistance. your comment about the patient environment is not applicable, I full appreciate that that is its own area and comes with its own level of care and complexities, but this was not and, stress, never a part of my observations.
jangle jim you missed my point. You’re suggesting improvement on the least dangerous part of what a dentist does - work that’s outside the mouth. Most of the work is done in the mouth. Which is much much more dangerous due to unpredictable movements of the patient. When you do something potentially dangerous day in and day out, it does mean you get experienced and that does result in proficiency and less error ie less dangerous.
yin shah respectfully, once again your comments are focused on something I never mentioned. my observations are about the activities that benefit from the kind of practices we use, albeit on a much smaller scale. the discipline we have is universal and the outcomes very predictable, successful replication is what we seek, as wuickly as possible as cheaply as it can be achieved whilst upholding the safety and quality factors as high as possible.
jangle jim those comments are meant for you to understand what you considered dangerous and can benefit from improvement is literally the least dangerous part of the work of a dentist. The handskills necessary in mouth makes this out of the mouth cutting fairly innocuous and not cost effective when we can competently do it freehand without the extra cost and time associated with added machanisms and steps.
Go to a cheaper country, enjoy the country, get some souvenirs for your family, get the exact same treatment done, and go back, for a lot less money. I am a dentist in Romania, and even though I am an orthodontist, there are many very well equipped clinics that use the best equipment with some of the best surgeons, and even they wouldn't ask more than 10-15 grand for this, a lot less if you go to a smaller clinic. You can try DentalMed, or Clinica 32... 48000$? Jesus, that's insane.

you can get this procedure done for way less than 48,000. I make these for a living and I can tell you, you can get top and bottom including implant surgery and new upper and lower dentures( not modified old dentures) all attachments etc. for less than half of the mentioned price.
you should come to India.ul get it done here in under 10000$(maximum).. I have done all-on-4 for people who cannot pay so much using Adin Implants for as little as 5000$...
Hey Miriam you should check out my channel and that is correct it's about that much. Right now we have it discounted to about $40,000 and remember it's a one time investment unlike a denture where every few months it needs realigning or every year replacing or chipping/cracking breaking. We also have financing so you can pay monthly etc but it depends what you need. I agree i wish insurance would cover it! At least the anesthesia or the surgery because this is necessary for so many people! you can use PTFE tape instead of cotton. less mess. faster to do

You're totally right. On the other hand we do our full teeth in a day which could be done a bit cheaper? maybe even use some of the implants you currently have. Idk how far into your process you've gotten but if you're interested call me 855-544-5089. Mini's are not a good idea only because we get probably half of our patients come in with failed mini implants. Waste of time and money. Check out some of my videos our process is a little diff from doing each tooth at a time but maybe we can save you money? and time xx :)

I wouldn't do this because it look like you still have that bulk and a gap from gum to denture. I would just get permanent caps or bridge and put on implant

My wife needs this. They quoted a $30,000 bill. Insane. Dental insurance won’t cover it medical insurance won’t touch it. This is pure greed an nasty to charge people this cost. a 4 oz piece with titanium how do u get to $30000?
Yes it’s only 4oz of metal...... do it yourself and save 30k of money. Yea and heart surgery, cleaning out arteries shouldn’t be that costly either, it’s only a slender inexpensive wire navigated to the heart.

Well if you’ve had it done..... then why did you pay $30K. Certainly it can be done cheaper, like anything. But in general what would you think is a justified fee? What is the cost of materials, do you absolutely know? Then do you know the cost involved in the procedure? Do you know lab costs? Do you think the lab technician should be paid for his time and expertise? Then do you think the operator (doctor) is entitled to a fee for his time, skill, experience, education? And if so, how much? Not to mention his staff and overhead ( the facility, insurance and numerous other expenses, just like any other business). Yes I’m curious what would be an acceptable fee in your mind?

It's definitely an investment however i wouldn't advise leaving the country in case there's a problem after they're placed. The cost of a flight and board back and fourth would be more than having them done here. Plus they're still very modern. I can talk from experience as i'm from the UK originally but if you're serious about the all on four we have a promo right now still an investment but feel free to call me 855-544-5089! Anant Gautam Anywhere offering traditional implants (which last you your life) will range around $50k. We discount ours to $40k when we do promotions and that includes everything. Two sets of teeth (first set you have to heal because after surgery there will be swelling plus you might want to change them-size shape colour etc) and we make it all inclusive no hidden fees i'm going to do a video on it this week i've just been so busy!

Probably at least $20,000 US. I just had 4 implants put in my upper jaw. My dentist quoted me $20,000,so I said I’d go with the partial bridge because it was $10,000. But when I got there he said he was doing implants at no extra charge! He really wanted to try the All on 4!

The Chairside light curing material is incredibly overpriced here in Canada.
Space under denture always a store house of food particles and patient with dry mouth again cleansing effect of salaiva shows difficulties hence how to maintain this wonderful prosthesis in mouth and screws also undergo corrosion ,hence poor patients paying lot of money later they should not feel asif they are cheated. Always patients should watch how to maintain these dentures and no denture is permanent

Bulk of your cost will be the implants, the anesthesia, the reduction of the bone. The denture part is cheap. And you cant use a converted denture forever. You need to be super duper careful. With implant RETAINED dentures, if you are eating something you shouldnt be, itll affect the denture AND OR the implants versus on conventional dentures (like what you have) your denture would just pop out.

Jim Pickins It's acrylic and is very light. Mind you, this is only a temporary while the implants integrate. The final prosthesis is lab fabricated.
I work construction: For on project material cost kappel dozens baks spend round 2 lb screws different types cost together $29:47. And must often with screws i secur things vere dependents somebody's live.
I don't make $ 1000. How hi do makes 15k or 30k from 4 screws. And some plastics.!!!????..

It’s puzzling that these clever people lack proper fabrication skills. I am amazed that this fantastic process relies on dremel technology !
The trimming of these cylinders is very subjective, no numbering, no targeted cutting medium (carborundum “joe dandy” blades) no degree of cut angle specified. These are just some of the make do approach I see here. The process has many aspects that need control measures. The single most important aspect is safety, there are far too many opportunities to severely injure the fingers and thumbs during these dremel activities. There needs to be specific air driven instruments that can clamp the medium to be cut in a defined method that does not create sparks (metallic blade technology is abundant) gives predictable replication, is easily performed and is extremely safe.
I am not a dental surgeon, nor a doctor, I am a general sheet metal worker.

Jangle Jim, ever had a filling or crown prep on your teeth? I ask this because your point about injuring fingers and such without proper clamping the medium etc tells me you haven’t consider what a dentist do day in and day out. Dentist drill and cut teeth millimeters from your tongue, gum, cheek and other teeth multiple times a day without any “clamping”. Yes its all freehand, because it has to be. This is all done mostly often with a awake patient and a wandering tongue. Now you can start to appreciate the hand skill involved when drilling in the mouth. This chairside stuff without a moving, swallowing patient is, by comparison, very easy to stay safe. Thanks for your concern. And your comment about predictable replication is not applicable as every cylinder has to be cut to a custom height per the contour and thickness of the adjacent denture material. Your dremel technology comment is funny. What do you think a dental handpiece(drill) is?

you have obviously commented in a defensive mode, I expected this, just because things are done "day and day out" doesnt mean they sre less dangerous. my point is that while watching these processes I see many opportunities to introduce a more rigid and robust method, similar to how we work in my field, that offers a level view, easy operation and a predictable outcome from activities that could benefit from mechanical assistance.
your comment about the patient environment is not applicable, I full appreciate that that is its own area and comes with its own level of care and complexities, but this was not and, stress, never a part of my observations.
jangle jim you missed my point. You’re suggesting improvement on the least dangerous part of what a dentist does - work that’s outside the mouth. Most of the work is done in the mouth. Which is much much more dangerous due to unpredictable movements of the patient. When you do something potentially dangerous day in and day out, it does mean you get experienced and that does result in proficiency and less error ie less dangerous.

respectfully, once again your comments are focused on something I never mentioned. my observations are about the activities that benefit from the kind of practices we use, albeit on a much smaller scale. the discipline we have is universal and the outcomes very predictable, successful replication is what we seek, as wuickly as possible as cheaply as it can be achieved whilst upholding the safety and quality factors as high as possible.
jangle jim those comments are meant for you to understand what you considered dangerous and can benefit from improvement is literally the least dangerous part of the work of a dentist. The handskills necessary in mouth makes this out of the mouth cutting fairly innocuous and not cost effective when we can competently do it freehand without the extra cost and time associated with added machanisms and steps.

Go to a cheaper country, enjoy the country, get some souvenirs for your family, get the exact same treatment done, and go back, for a lot less money. I am a dentist in Romania, and even though I am an orthodontist, there are many very well equipped clinics that use the best equipment with some of the best surgeons, and even they wouldn't ask more than 10-15 grand for this, a lot less if you go to a smaller clinic. You can try DentalMed, or Clinica 32... 48000$? Jesus, that's insane.

you can get this procedure done for way less than 48,000. I make these for a living and I can tell you, you can get top and bottom including implant surgery and new upper and lower dentures( not modified old dentures) all attachments etc. for less than half of the mentioned price.
you should come to India.ul get it done here in under 10000$(maximum).. I have done all-on-4 for people who cannot pay so much using Adin Implants for as little as 5000$...
Hey Miriam you should check out my channel and that is correct it's about that much. Right now we have it discounted to about $40,000 and remember it's a one time investment unlike a denture where every few months it needs realigning or every year replacing or chipping/cracking breaking. We also have financing so you can pay monthly etc but it depends what you need. I agree i wish insurance would cover it! At least the anesthesia or the surgery because this is necessary for so many people!
