Congrats on 2 years as a "CZcamsr". As a subscriber i would like to thank you for all your videos specifically on the Tundra because i also have a 02 and i have gotten many great ideas from you and not only that i am able (with your videos) to work on my tuck knowing ahead of time what and how to do certain things. Keep up the good work and im sure this year will be better than the last.

Sal, thanks so much for your insight on first gen Tundras. I acquired 2001 access cab last fall that needed a full timing service, radiator, and had a failed head gasket. Its mechanically good now after quite a bit of work ,and runs perfect. With 206K , it has a solid clean body, interior, and considering its always been an Ohio truck, its got a solid frame, having been replaced under warranty in 2012. ( Dealer printed a service history report for free after I provided the VIN). I'm getting ready to install an ATOTO F7WE. I got the harness on Amazon and wanted to ask if you needed any kind of antenna adapter or did the factory cable fit right into the radio? Thanks! Your channel has been a big help.

Came across you channel recently. First of all, love the content. I've learned a good amount about my tundra and the option provided that I didnt know before. Also, its like youre a mirror image of me somewhere else. I have a 2000 tundra limited thats relatively low mileage and a rx7 fc turbo 2 10ae for the side project. Used to have a 240 myself along side the tundra but it was a s14! Just thought that was kind of funny. Keep up the content, I'll keep watching!

I spent about that on my 1st gen the first year. I saved a ton doing my own timing belt. (Which is actually easier than I initially thought)

Im looking into buy a 1st generation Tundra and I’m not sure whether to buy a 2005/2006 (due to the trans being sealed and not recommended to service) or the years before that. The extra horsepower is really tempting but the transmission is all I can think about. I know your kinda biased but I’d love to hear some thoughts. I found your channel through my new found interest in the Tundra and I’ve been binging your journey with it. I appreciate all the work you do and I’m really enjoying the videos!
This is something I go back and forth all the time on too. I was looking at upgrading to a double cab recently and I was debating going 04 with the older motor and trans, or going for an 05/06. The benefits of going newer are the power and the gearing. The benefits of going older are the simplicity (no TPMS sensors, more servicable trans, no secondary air injection system, etc). Plenty of people have had a lot of success with both types of engines though. Hope this helps a little, thanks for watching!
Congrats ive been watching all the tundra videos and multiple of them have watched a few times helping with my tundra, keep up the great work!
Also have you had any power draws with that atoto headunit, got one in my old car and had to return it cause it'd kill the battery constantly
That's weird, I haven't had any issues with a power draw from the head unit. I wonder if you got a faulty unit or maybe there was something funky with the wiring? Sorry to hear that though. Thanks for watching, and I appreciate the support!
@JDMDriveway yeah, with all the hype around atoto and the price point it was a real bummer when mine didn't function but been on the fence trying another because of that reason, but maybe I'll just get the s8 and try that out and see if that one works better

Hey man, I have a 2004 Tundra I am unsure whether to put Bilstein 4600s with a leveling spacer, or just get the Bilstein 5100s. I saw you did the 4600s and a leveling spacer and I was curious if you’ve been happy with that decision.
I've been happy with it, but I do no off-roading at all lol. It doesn't feel especially "crashy" on road, and I would recommend it for a low budget solution. If you do any off-roading, I'd recommend the 5100s which actually give you more capability and aren't just for looks. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

I've definitely considered it and even went to test drive a few last year. I've got pretty high standards though because I'd want to buy one in a similar/better condition than my AC. I still check FB marketplace every day! haha Thanks for watching
