Hold it appropriately away from your mouth.

I have been a voice actor since the 80s and is is absolutely amazing the quality of voice over auditions I have done simply on my phone. These recording apps are truly remarkable. I think there ways to edit but usually I just pause it between long paragraphs if there are any. The downside of that is you have to get the whole thing right in EVERY take. I narrate a famous Disney ride that is now almost 30 years old. I really doubt anybody would know I am sitting here on my bed with my cat sleeping next to me auditioning for these things.

Have you submitted any of your cell phone demos to voice over agencies? If so, what did they think about your demos? Also, have you ever recorded any demos using a tablet? Do you think the sound quality is better on a tablet than on a cell phone and laptop for demo submissions?

I have a nicer microphone for my voiceover jobs. If you're using a cell phone, you won't likely get work from big agencies but you could get work on websites like Fiverr since many people who go there don't need the most professional sounding voiceover they just want something that sounds good enough for their CZcams videos. I think phone will be better than tablet.

I haven’t run tests but generally a phone is more optimized to capture audio than a tablet. But if a tablet is all you’ve got, then it will work.

This was sort of helpful but I dont have access to a computer so I need to do it ALL from my phone. Can I record a video (real nerdy, I do paper crafting videos) on my android phone AND do a voiceover for it with my phone as well? Any help is appreciated. Thnx

yes you can. Take the saved audio into a prog like Power Director which is a video edit app and slide them together so they sync.
