@supersecko665 why does it have to contain traditional elements? The original comment clearly says "traditional culture with modern music". Not "traditional music". The culture is in the performance. If you wanna stretch it, the lyrics talk about selling your cow, missing your hay, mentions the Istrian dance (not explicitly but the setting is set in historical times). So yeah there are elements of Istrian history and the way people lived a 100 years ago.

WHY this song should win ESC. Beside being so highly catchy and relatable. He himself wrote his lyrics, made music, arangement and came up with this staging in 1 MONTH (doing all other things like interviews, official video etc) as he came to competition as a reserve. His girlfriend is in charge of his visuals and his brother is a drummer, and everything is made mostly with a help of his family and close friends. This guy delivered, not only a song, but values too. He's not bringing nudity, cursing and there's no any other provocation inside his lyrics or visuals. That's what ESC is all about. It's the essence of this festival. It's a SONG competition made by an author himself. Marko himself is not aware of what he delivered here becouse he's such a humble and kind soul, which is such a rarity in the world these days. He's an artist indeed and I'm so very happy he finally decided to take that step and pursue his solo career after so many years being a band member and writing songs for others. Wish him all the best in life ❤
....and it was the first time EVER that he has performed as vocalist. He is a guitar player! He never was lead singer. NEVER BEFORE! AND...He is a huge introvert.

So many people can relate to what the song is about, especially the anxiety part. Marko is also an introvert himself he said in an interview, so he's a very humble person and seems super sweet. He said in his winner press conference that despite him being introvert, when he's on stage he becomes a different persona. And that makes his song and performance even stronger: breaking down the walls, showing your powerful self on the stage. So so epic!

“DORA” is his first time performing live as singer, he was in croatian rock/mettal group Manntra as guitarist. This guy is so talented he did all of this alone in one month (in his room with his fiancee and brother), he also loves cats so they are in background, meaning is deep and this is just it for esc❤🎉#1

Yea the song is about a kid leaving his village and all that comes with it. A really big population is leaving Croatia and going to other countries...And in video and even here you can see traditional croatian parts, from clothing to dance.
