    Hello, I'm the designer of the nightjet models (I also did the layout of the extra papers). The second set MW1811 has been split into two (MW1811-1 and MW1811-2), it's now also released, it took some time because we had to complete the Swiss car.
    10:57 Those are wash basins if you open them (but we decided not to make them work too ....)

      Thank you Unci! I'm glad to hear the the 1118 1 and 2 are released! Ive been waiting for them with a great anticipation. Cant wait to have the entire consist completed. I had the opportunity of taking this train from Zurich to Hamburg with my son in 2019. Being able to replicate the actual train in H0 scale and preserve the memories in 1/87 scale is any collector ultimate dream!
      Thank you for a fantastic models, Peter!

      @@peters.5669 Note also that you can easily convert the couchette compartments to daytime position by removing the ladders and moving the middle bed down. My little invention. (For the doubledeck sleeping-cars this would require additional seats, they exist in the moulds but aren't supplied with the model because very few modellers would actually convert their trains this way.)

    Hi Peter, really nice video! I love your review. I have the Nightjet 421 by LS Models. The keys to open the car, you found it in the MW Sets? Thanks a lot!

      Thank you for the feed back Ivan! The keys - no - they were included with one of the City Night Line sets of cars (3 x 3cars) and these sets are min 5 years old.

    Hello Peter,
    Could you please tell me If the LS Models coaches have an adjustable wheel set gauge and if these coaches are made for 2,1mm or 2,5mm track system? Thank you for your response...

    • @peters.5669
      @peters.5669  Před 3 lety

      Hi there, LS models are very prototypical and i never had any issue / need to adjust them but yes you can set gauge as one wheel is pressed on an insulator (typical for DC). LS models and ACME are made with lower flanges - they will run on 2.1 and 2.5 rails. Because they are highly prototypical (long) some of the models have a min curve radius recommendations and wont run well on small radius curves.

      For a while L.S.Models used finescale wheels but these caused problems on some layouts and track systems so they generally went back to more conventional wheelsets. The bogies have metal bearings for easier running and less wear. For even smoother running add a drop of oil at each bearing but be careful not to get everything greasy.
