This is one of my favorite shows when I was a kid now I'm 61 years old and I'm still watching it❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
Yes, I'm 62 years old and somehow I thought it was a better show than what we just watched! Hahahahaha, not everything was better back then!
Same here, good times .
Same here I'm 61 too. I became fascinated by submarines and n naval vessels due to this show.
Yes it was good TV back in the 60s
I guess we never get old the same with Lost in space and Gilligan's Island and all the mother 60s shows
I was ten in 1967 and I loved watching this, Lost in Space, The Green Hornet, Time Tunnel and Batman.
And Land of the Giants
Oh yeah Lost in Space was great I have the whole collection❤❤❤❤
Me too. I was born in 57. That makes us both, 39. lol. Irwin Allen, That guy was at the right place at the right time. And how many kids wanted to fight like, Kato (Bruce Lee) from the green hornet.
I’m with you on this one !
I been around since 55,so I grew up watching good shows like this. ❤
Brilliant. How much better tv was in the early 1960's.
My favorite cartoons were, Beanie and Cecil, The Jetson's, The Flintstones and Believe it or not, Clutch Cargo (That was a strange cartoon). lol
For a young 8 year old boy this was a fantastic show 👏 😊
My brother had the toy submarine!😂
I'm 64 I still enjoy voyage to the bottom of the sea
Just found this today, couldn't resist it. Took me right back to my childhood, only difference back then I watched it in black and white!
Great stuff, will be looking for more.
I remember being totally freaked out
by this one as a kid. Now, almost 61,
I had to suspended my disbelief so
much I nearly threw my back out.
🤖👍
Thanks for the laugh!
@@TooleManTV My pleasure, Mr. TooleMan.
Writer? 😳✍️👍🇨🇦🙆🏻♂️
This 7 year old, now old man, thanks you for the episode from my youth.
From this 11 year old who has always been older than you, you are welcome!
lol @@TooleManTV
I was 10 on Oct. 8 1967.
I was the ripe old age of 14. 🤦🏻♀️
I was a 9yr old living the life growing up in elmhurst Queens NYC movies 75 cents comic books 12 cents and 35 cents for a slice of pizza. My allowance 5 dollars a week!
lol 😂
I love reliving my childhood time, watching great shows like this, even if its only for a short time.
I’ll take reliving chunks of my childhood 45 minutes at a time with pleasure!
Could not agree more🇮🇪🇮🇪
This episode was first aired on my birthday, ie. the literal day I was born! 10/8/67.
I love how the skeleton crew completely undressed themselves before dying!
Good catch mate, I missed that😂
Ah, that was just an illusion in Nelson's mind caused by the ghost.
Where the show's crew let us down was having the villain's skeleton remain in a Navy uniform instead of transforming into that of a dutch mariner.
subsidiarity you'd better take yourself to sick bay I think you're hallucinating 🤣
Lols! 😅😂🙆🏻♂️🇨🇦

This episode is very atmospheric, and colorful. Admiral Nelson sees the skeletons, and faints🤭!!! Haven't seen this, in many years (50 years, maybe)☺️!!! Warren Stevens always delivers, a good performance.
Ikr?? 💀😱😵
Likewise!
When I was a kid watching this show, my dad called it "Voyage to See What's At The Bottom." He was a funny guy most of the time.
One of my favorite shows when I was a Kid...Thanks for the memories.
That was one of the roomiest submarines ever made.
Like that, Arab sheiks tent, that's small on the outside, and palace sized, on the inside😏.
I'm still trying to "do the math," wish I could count....
WARREN STEVENS WAS A EXCELLENT ACTOR AND HAS BEEN IN SO MANY SHOWS . EXCELLENT ACTING SKILLS. HE WAS IN A EPISODE OF THE ORIGINAL STAR TREK.
He also was in the original Outer Limits.
Signed, Warren Stevens.
One of the best Twilight Zone Episodes.
The Cage? 😳
@@N0_191_ The episode was "By Any Other Name"
I've heard of skeleton crews before but this is ridiculous! One of the episodes I remember most from my childhood. Thanks, TooleMan.
Skeleton crew! LOL, well done.
This really made a 5 to 8 year old kid smile back in the day and it was cool to see it again just now !! 😀
Admiral Nelson must be livid; he arrives back aboard Seaview only the find the entire crew is SKULLED 😝💀
I always LOVED the sparks and slightly out of rhythm leaping from side to side 😁
That was good for a laugh. I see the good ol' cap'n kirk karate chop in full use here .
Nice job , Tooleman! Nice detail, smooth blending
They will never doubt the Admiral again!
I enjoy watching this as a kid
Always LOVED this show as a kid!
❤❤❤ Delightful from start to finish.
In my teenage years I was enthralled watchind the Sea Views adventures and the sub was so realistic and the design was credible and believable, the flying sub did stretch credibility but I felt it was possible in the future, those were great years growing up it was a bit like star trek under the sea
"Yes,this specific 'Sea View'submarine(21rst.century) was manufactured'built for time'travel both inside out:choc'full of sci-fi paranormal activity-here and there". . .5-6-2024'
Loved that badass flying sub'/!!!
You got it! The Flying Sub was the only reason I watched the show...even as a kid I knew episodes were poorly written, continuity of scenes was lame... but, The Flying Sub!!! ❤❤❤
This episode reminded me of how much I hate being caught in time portals.
Doesn't everyone?
I love it when the Captain cancels the Admirals ordereds and they have a bit of a spat about it.
Nice job redoing the video quality, some of the sharpest 1080p I’ve ever seen 👍👍
One of my favourite tv shows when i was a kid brilliant 👍
The best show EVAH!
Loved the flying sub. wish there was a real one!
Loved this as a late 60s kid in NYC. Had the groovey Revell models and everything.
Aurora made the kits, later Monogram and Polar Lights had the molds….
What's amazing about this series is how all the actors didn't keep bursting out laughing during filming.
They probably did in the earlier seasons (until they got used to the sometimes campy dialog and story lines), but those bits ended up on the cutting room floor.
Actors? They used actors?
Don’t forget this was serious business in the sixties!
That's what I always thought!
To bad they don't make shows anymore. Today's TV is garbage!
The admiral returned to the sea view, to find a crew of dead naked seamen!
These are just as goofy and just as much fun as the first time around, all those years ago. Nice job on the video quality.
"It's a cave." That's why the Admiral makes the big money.😀
Brings back so many memories of my 60,s childhood
I love the clothes dryer vent sleeves that chief used to access the mechanical claw to save the diving bell.
how absurd. but was such great fun to watch when I was 8!
It's great fun to watch NOW!
I'm from Zanesville Ohio, Richard Bassheart is from Zanesville Ohio as well. Going up it was The reason I loved this show 😮😊😊
I bet you never ran into him at the grocery store. 😁
Warching this on friday night an going to the local two guys an buyingthw models..if i couldturn backtime...
Great episode.
Welcome aboard, Greg.
I used to watch this show when it was in syndication Saturday evenings in New York City.
Also Saturday mornings on SuperStation WGN Chicago.
Thank you for the memories. Here in Quebec, I'd watch it in French along with Lostt in Space, Star Trek. and Land of the Giants.
I NEVER NEW HOW GREAT THIS SHOW WAS UNTIL WATCHING IT ON UTUBE. I DON'T WATCH TODAY'S SHOWS BECAUSE I HAVE SHOWS FROM THE PAST THAT ARE FAR SUPERIOR TO WHAT IS ON TV TODAY!😊😊😊😊
Lol I love that they are are get attacked by a pirate ship ☠️, the bridge is on fire 🔥 , and they decide to have a meeting in the captains quarters lol 😂
The skeleton on the pericope 😂😂😂😂
He is doing a number on that periscope….😂😂
Loved it in the sixties and still loving it in my sixties. Don’t watch tv, but thank goodness we have people like you keeping us entertained. Been watching land of the giants and love thy neighbour, plus some old films. Totally entertained and never laughed so much. Once again thank you so much for your time and effort, which is so much appreciated.
You're welcome. Thanks for the note. I am so glad the Seaview is still sailing.
I think I remember this in black and white.
Amen Brother
Isn't it funny how many oldies don't watch TV Or is like me you don't like being programmed by MSM
Those chairs with the built in controllers on the Flying Sub would be great for gaming.
Thanks again Toolman. You are the best at what you do. All you fellow sci-fi fans ,don't forget to look for the Devil's Comet
April 10th. Right below the cressant of the moon and slightly to the right . Won't be back untill 2395. Hsve a good night.😊😊😊 2:30
Always good to see Warren Stevens. Three times on Voyage. Thanks again, TooleManTV. 👍
You bet!
He was on Keeper Of The Purple Twilight.
@@rascal211 And Forbidden Planet & Star Trek.
the ship's doctor in Forbidden Planet.
He was excellent as the doctor on Forbidden Planet.
I remember they sold model kits and toys based on the submarine and the flying sub from this show. If you had one of these back then when this show was popular, you were the man!
Looks so fresh. Hard to believe this was filmed almost 60 years ago!
... why?
so nice to see it in full color instead of B&W!
More fabulous retro fantasy. Comforting escapism. Thanks so much Tooleman for being here and restoring the voyages.. You've been making my day lately with these ❤🙏🏻🙋😀
Ahhh. Admiral Nelson's first mistake apond crashing the Flying Sub in the sea: he wants to explore the near island, instead of attempting repairs first, to secure a (plan B) get away plan if needed.
I remember seeing this when I was growing up as well
This is the first time, I watched this show... It is an interesting show It had a good story so far...
Welcome aboard! Please stay with us, there's so much more.
Great restoration, hard to believe David Hedison was "The Fly", good looking guy
My crush ❤
And the best Felix Leiter in James Bond.
Miy crush too , greatt actor as well ❤❤❤@@glojac892
Jeffrey Wright was pretty good as well.
One of my favorite episodes,...really eerie in spots!
We (four brothers) used to watch this in Perth Australia in black-and-white in the 60s. We called it "voyage to see the bottom".
Talk about a shoestring budget! 😂
"Yoyage to See What's on the Bottom." What, Me Worry?
That to which you "Madly" refer was, "Voyage to the Bottom of the Cesspool". Ah yes, the two edged sword of an eidetic memory!
"Hey big Brother It's time for Voyage to the bottom of the sea & it's in COLOR !! "😃🤓😎
Shame our television is not.
The theme scared me even before it started.
Loved all the Irwin Allen shows back in the 60s. They all had the same monsters running out of caves. Guy with hairy legs, guy with sheet over his head, guy with hairy legs....
The fact that they were in color was extra special. Our massive 27" RCA colour tv was mostly just green and blue, but all the kids in the neighborhood would come over to see. For some reason, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea was the least entertaining, somewhat dry, except when a guy with a sheet over his head would grab the sub and shake it around with the characters inside lunging from side to side.
Seaview got shaken so much that it got it's own special moniker in the TV industry- the "Seaview Rock and Roll"!
So fun! Love love the undersea sets. All charming and such great memories. Thank you
Ive never watched one episode of this show until today
Excellent use of the B9 Robots arm rubbers inside the Flying Sub.
That must have had been the naked Navy because none of those skeletons had any articles of clothing around them.
Excellent quality. A good episode.
Oh, the sounds and the Seaview really brought back good memories.
I watched n loved VTTBOTS since my early teens in NYC and thanks to your fine work on restoration i can again at age 66 in Oshawa Cheers from Canada!!
I'm 65 and loved the show
The Warren Steven's character gave away that he is very much involved in the mystery.
irwin allen tv was awesome in the 60s and 70s. 1960s 70s were amazing
I agree. Part of that awesomeness was that there was so much less broadcasting time. I remember the times when TV started in the afternoon and ended at midnight. Sometimes, less is more.
Warren Stevens' wig beats Terry Becker's any time!😂
I used to love this show.
One of my favorite TV shows thank you for posting this 😊
God this takes me back to my childhood! Just loved the series, something to watch on a weekday afternoon after school before dad got home.
I especially lived the flying sub. I would have been around 9 when this was aired.
...and lets not forget my surname was NELSON ha ha, something I didn't miss as a kid when watching the show.
Those two guys look so much alkie! Omg….i saw this as a child and liked it. My brothers and me would all watch it
There's a scene cut from this when Nelson is first in sick bay. When he tries to leave to see Van Wyck, Crane stops him & asks Nelson to tell him what's wrong & Nelson says he has to think some things thru first. Then Crane mentions Washington & Crane explains that the entire 11tth fleet is heading into this area and Nelson says to tell them he'll be in touch. Scene ends. I've seen so many episodes so many times, it's almost as though I could have written them. LOL This isn't a criticism. Just an observation. You do a fabulous job!
You're a devoted fan! I wish the network had not cut bits out of these episodes, but that's the trade-off for the quality of the video. Maybe one day we will get full episodes on Blu-Ray's or other HDTV media.
@@TooleManTV MeTV does that a lot, cutting scenes here and there to make room for more commercials...
@@TooleManTV The DVD’s that I have do have the full episodes.
The voice that talks to the Admiral is the person who voiced "Mr Nobody" on Lost In Space.
Fascinating. Thank uou!
Lol, I recall this show, but I never watched it as a child, but this episode is great! Thanks for sharing it.
Geez I remember this show.. 👌
The actor that played the evil Van Wyck in this episode, was also in another episode of this series, in which he played an evil person who did not belong on the ship.
"Sam Garrity" in "Deadly Invasion". Also in a BW first season tale, "The Saboteur" if I have the title right.
Always loved this show, cause the more you drink...that back n forth screen action gets ya really fff'd up
If ya catch my drift mannn......
Very enjoyable would have made a good Halloween episode. Thanks for posting.
I Loved this show.. Had the Models of it & the Flying Sub...
I always loved the way they would run down hallway after hallway in a sub.
Just as I remembered it all flames and sparks and no water what a sub 😊
Beautiful
Always enjoyed the fireworks due to the turbulence of the rocking of the Seaview in almost every episode! 😅😅
Some of those monsters on Lost in Space were used on the SEAVIEW like the plankton monsters from the Price of Doom episode.
😂 i haven't seen this show for 50 years. Actually its still fun.
This was a good episode.
All there bones are intact... special affects 😎♥️👍
The Admiral having an attack of the vapours.

Thanks for the kudos. The broadcast print is so clean and clear that my touch-ups were minimal. Can't say what was going on with Richard Basehart, if anything. Maybe he didn't like the script. It is somewhat out-of-character for him to faint at the sight of a skeleton after all the other monsters, aliens, and bad guys he has faced over the years. Hmm... 🤔

@@TooleManTVHaha .. it was really fun when he fainted 😂 The whole thing is just enjoyable. 🙏🏻☺️❤️ I also love it when they gently do karate chops...so gentle and yet the victims just collapse lol. Ahhh, the good old days of drama 🎥🎬📽️
@@auroravioletlight Maybe you can explain to me how a supernatural ghost who has been around for centuries can be knocked out by Nelson's karate chop? Maybe it only works in the diving bell at extreme depths. I dunno...
@@TooleManTV Hello. Haha...unsure 😂 Enjoyable hokem. It's all a ruse! Haha. It's a little bit like the old cowboy and Indian films isn't it where they shoot somebody, or with an arrow and they drop down dead immediately... I remember saying to my dad when I was little "at least it doesn't hurt" (I was always obsessed with how things shouldn't hurt) and I remember my dad saying, it doesn't work that in real life, most of the time you don't die straight away and it does hurt. I was only a kid, but remember being unhappily shocked and realising about make believe for the first time. Bitter sweet. These days the realism in film is often horrific and what was meant to be a bit of entertainment is more like a horrifying documentary. Obviously we choose what we want to watch but the desensitization these days is pretty rife. And mostly no one ever says with a smile at the end of whatever "lets go home". .. (Good old Admiral Nelson) Mostly there are no happy endings ready for a new adventure. These days it is as though it is a crime to make something unrealistic unless it is an animation, or musical ....even through 'entertainment' it seems we are got at and are meant to feel struggle that can't be overcome, hopelessness and horror, sadness. Not always obvs, but a lot. back in the day it was the other way around,. back in the day somebody dropping down at nothing was watched and no chuckles at that then, we watched and waited to see how things got fixed or worked out for the best...aye, and seeing these karate chops in Voyage where they barely touch them and it knocks them out..well, it is just the memory of times gone by in drama that resonates. Times when we could believe that there is always a way. It is through 'entertainment' that we are deeply affected in mood isn't it and it can ruin our time or make us smile and feel lightheaded, positive, motivated. Powerful tool. Afterall, we can always watch the news for misery infusions. It is nice to flip that coin and choose a mood of " we will find a way through, we have got this". ..A little bit of make believe can go a very long way. 🙏🏻🌎✨🙋
Fantastic episode thank you Have a great week
Thank you! You too!
Me encanta esta serie.
The flying Sub, still one of the coolest tech’s till today !
