The AI has gotten a lot better and it is a lot of fun playing against it!
There are different ways to play Marjatta. If there are enough resources available, you could rush to Aurelian Sanctum and get Necros out around round 5-7 and your second wielder could be Silverlink for longterm economy gain. If resources are scarce, you probably need Coral out ASAP so Marjattta could start creeping with a Necromancer.
Just one Necromancer is enough for her to be able to break to the middle area on this map, even when fighting against some dragons. Make sure you break before round 9 as you would need to fight against more units. Two dragons would become three.
Marjatta is not as strong as Peradine. I have more experience with Loth, but my Peradine's win-rate against the deadly AI is much higher than Marjatta's. If I go full offensive, meaning that not relying on luring the enemy to attack a village with guard towers, I could easily lose, especially against enemies who could do spell damage.
Therefore, this game I try to play more defensively. I try to take the middle area village before the enemy and make guard towers and lure them to lose units attacking it, while my Marjatta retreats to get more forces. If I keep my Marjatta garrisoned there, the enemy usually does not attack (what a cleaver assessment!).
However, things do not go as I've planned. Even though my second wielder could snipe several Hellbreaths on round 12 using Justice, they got replenished quite quickly in two turns when Marjatta go back to take the city. Marjatta could win the fight but lost many Necromancers and other units.
I intentionally prolonged the game to chip away enemy units and make sure that when I attack their main base, I could certainly win. Yet, the castle siege on round 25 was really a close call! I should have arranged my units so that I could quickly warp something to block the Toxicologists on the wall.
This is a difficult back and forth game but I finally managed to win.

Great playthrough, I enjoyed the chill commentary. For the first Aleah fight I think it would be better to fight her after she converts the town, so that the musketeers would not have enough range to oneshot your stacks
Thanks! That is an interesting thought. I was afraid that she would just stay inside the town and it would have been worse... but perhaps she might fight me thinking that I had lesser units. I guess I'll need to get to know the AI more!
@@windfarers Yes, AI does mostly look at Gold Value of your army, so it would definitely attack you in the open field. That's not a human player to turtle up in the town, knowing they have much more income and unit growth you can do nothing against :)
