CONNECTICUT, USA - Welcome to Connecticut, a state thatâs famous for fresh Atlantic lobsters and lobster rolls during the summer. Today, weâre going to two main places, each famous for lobster rolls and some of the best lobster rolls in the USA!

So quickly to begin, there are two main states in the USA famous for lobster rolls, Maine and Connecticut. Maine is the more well known and often uses mayonnaise on their lobster rolls. Connecticut is more known for less mayonnaise and instead using warm butter in their rolls.
Here are the two main places we went during this lobster rolls tour:
Abbott's Lobster In the Rough (goo.gl/maps/nePD7AtMKGH8mRjd6)
Price - $28.95 medium sized roll - Abbott's Lobster In the Rough is one of the most well known places to eat lobsters in all of Connecticut. When we saw the giant lobster roll on the menu, itâs something we had to try. It was huge, stuffed full of lobster like a boat. I liked how the roll was served with pure lobster and warm butter was served on the side. The location and setting was spectacular. A highlight was also their steamed lobsters and potato chips.
Lobster Landing (goo.gl/maps/vCZAwFB6GLpgmjay8)
Price - $19.75 per roll - Next up we drove over to Lobster Landing, what has to be one of the ultimate lobster shacks in the United States, a lobster dock literally on the side of the ocean - straight boat to lobster roll. After seeing some of the fresh lobsters we met up with Bacci, the owner who is originally from Italy. What makes them special is their integrity and how they buy lobsters from the local fishing community in the area in a sustainable way. They donât cut corners, but focus on extremely fresh seafood sustainable sourced. For their lobster rolls they boil the lobster, then directly into a grilled bun, a squeeze of fresh lemon, and a ladle of melted warm butter. This was without a doubt one of the best lobster rolls Iâve ever had in my life - so pure, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Lobster Landing only has a few things on their menu, but they truly do it right. Highly recommended.
Another delicious day of eating lobsters on the East Coast of the USA in Connecticut!

The seagulls will recycle it
My heart is bursting with the awesomeness of the Lobster Landing owner.
Heâs amazing.
When she brought the LOL up to her face, instead of coming closer to the table. I had a mini panic attack.
Keep your integrity, don't cut corners.
Another life lesson learned from a humble, kind elder. Respect.
Mark is always humble and polite and respectful of the food he eats.
Mark sold it
No idea what that kid is legit singing but in my heart I hear him singing âlobster freak, we lobster freakâ đ absolutely beautiful
I'm sitting here drooling!!! I told my wife, " Honey, we're goin on a food tour across America!" and the lobster and seafood places in New England are definitely a must.
This channel is making us all wanna go on food tours hahađ€Łâ€

Second guy was so wholesome n kind.
Itâs his kid living his best life in the background for me đ„č. Food looks great too đđđđœ
All I know is Iâll never eat a gigantic lobster roll on my feet or with a plate underneath it. I canât bear to lose a single piece of lobster meat to the ground.
I agree it was painful watching chucks of lobster falling to the ground. Especially thinking of how much all that cost.
Ill never eat a lobster in my life cause i live in sri lanka đ±đ° đ

@@vidun3794 theres no lobster in Srilanka?đ€
@@brifer_350 exactly. I would take a plate under the lobster sandwich roll..so that no piece falls of..evry little inch n bits of it will get into my tummy cos those are expensive as well and sweet too..
i'm eating a sad little cup of instant noodles while watching mark eat lobster but somehow, it makes it a bit delicious
Me toođ
Eggs and burnt toast over here salivating and relishing it like it's lobster đ

Well, right now I'm sitting inside this Church's Chicken grease packed dumpster taking a break from scrounging for scraps to watch this video and this video just made me throw down this half eaten stale biscuit and leap from out of this dumpster to head over to Long John's Silvers dumpster to dive in.
o man THAT IS SIMPLY CRUEL! đ€Łâ€
Man those moments when people have real conversations with mark and we can see his other sides is so cool man! Mark your a good man! Love your videos đđ»
So mouthwatering my good!!
The amount of lobster in that roll!! Absolutely jam packed đ
Mark love your videos...the girl was spilling all the lobster roll LOL all over the ground
I'm the type of person who would eat that over a plate in case any lobster falls out. I'm going in for all of it and nothing is going to the birds. đ
hehehe i would do the same
I was like please don't waste the meat ...lolol
@@leyley1970 Oh yes, respect the meat! Such pleasure should be fully enjoyed. :-)

the old fella(the owner ) looks so genuine ,dedicated his entire life making lobster roll!
Omg so much lobster falling on the ground đ Never thought I'd wish to be a seagull in my life until now!

Great vid as always! I was crying inside as the pieces of lobster fell on the ground, fortunately it will not go to waste with all the seagulls hanging around đ
I know. When the young lady was holding the giant lobster roll and just kind of eating it however, I was inwardly saying, "Eat it OVER the table and tray, you're going to make a mess and waste expensive lobster!"
You and me both đ
@@NanaPapa123 I screamed this. Like is Lobster cheap over there or something?
I would not have had a drop go to waste.
Wow đŻđŻđ
I really respect Mark for always making sure he's eating the food properly and eating the entirety of it :)
he literally dropped some while he tears one apart
Properly? Dropping loads of expensive lobster on the ground? Big think.
Lets focus on the positive parts people geezzz.
I agree
@@sorayasing3717 The OP was about eating it all, geeezzz, if your going to say something about a video and have it open for debate, which is how the internet works with comment sections, then be right otherwise.... He dropped so much, legend has it a baby lobster ran back to the ocean.
Watching them eat the rolls the way they do, spilling all those pieces, I can't help but think dude, you just let $4 fall on the floor. đ
Exactly đđđ!!!
AGREED FROM MASSACHUSETTS. I love you Mark and Co. BUT ... At that very moment, I wish I were a dog. Plus to let lobster drop at such a high price is a sin.
lobster is cheap rn tho. 6.99/lb in maine
People don't realize, in season in any Coastal NE fishing/ lobster town, it is coming straight from the ocean. Right off their docks. It is cheap. In cape may NJ a whole live 5lb lobster can run you $20-40 depending on the season.
Love the respect Mark showed when placed the live lobster back in the tank....the whole video impressed me but that impressed me the most. Thank you Mark!
Dropping all that lobster meat on the floor is a crime! đą
I hate how thereâs so much lobster falling on the ground.
Wow mark!! You made me missed Maine. I used to lived in Augusta, ME. Every summer when am out of school, I will drive two hours to the ocean just to eat steamed lobster and lobster rolls. Now, I lived in NC but I canât find any place that serve lobster like in Maine. You guys are so lucky. God bless you all. đđđđ„°
Why drive that far when you have maybe one of the best places to eat lobster at The Red Barn is my favorite.
You can get Maine lobster shipped to you still live and ready to cook.
I might be a minority, but I much prefer Mark on his own and not featuring all these other youtubers - they just don't share his genuine enthusiasm and positivity (except Jeffrey, he has that same energy)
Mark I watch all your videos and not all foods are to my taste but these lobster tours omg what perfection! As a Scotsman we are famed for our seafood but these Americans do it right what a tour what a dream !!! Thank you
we all going crazy to lobsters now
I'm so happy you featured these amazing restaurants. I live in Connecticut and had no idea these places existed. I will definitely be going soon.

I love watching your excitement and your huge, enthusiastic bites. Not sure how you manage to talk to us with those mouthfuls đ€Ł. Please tell us your secret for staying so fit in light of all these yummy tastings.
Love your comment, how does mark stay so fit eating all that food......its quite simple really, he might work out but the biggest thing is he doesn't eat rubbish/cr*p, where he lives, look at the amazing food, protein, vegetables, noodles etc all fresh and amazingly prepared. It's about eating good quality healthy food and some 'treats' in moderation.......I'm from the uk, but I can say the same for America, in both cultures alot of people go for easy convenient food 'mcdonalds' 'kfc' etc so that's why they pile on the weight, where as in other cultures cooking is the main aspect of their being, as they have a passion for it, enjoy all the different amazing produce and they truly respect what they get.
If you dropped that much Lobster here in Vancouver, you would be MOBBED by Seagulls!!!!
Everytime I see Mark I cant help but expect him to break out into a Krusty the Clown laugh..................hahaha
Thanks Mark for sharing the treats LOBSTER ROLLS has to offer in Connecticut! Amazing.â„đ„đ
