I’m a jam band guy and absolutely love love my MTL MK 2 100 watts, sounds as good in my small space as it does in a large one. bought a Rockcrusher to attenuate and don’t even use it. Nobody talks about the clean channel which is audio gold as well. I can turn down the gain and crank the main volume on the clean channel and get into twin Reverb territory, Dial up the gain a little bit and it’s modded Marshall heaven. I’m lucky enough to have mine on a switcher and able to compare it directly to a lot of other bucket list amps and every time I come back to the wizard after playing through another amp I’m quickly reminded of why it’s my #1 .
Are you using a boost here or straight in? Both sound good, Mark V has more modern voice and darker. Wizard has more mids but still sounds really tight.
MK V sounds like it wrapped in a blanket compared to any Wizzard. The video here is an actual MK 2 C+ which still can’t touch the Wizard and thats why James Hatfield plays through one of

0:36 - 1:47 Mark IIC+

Both incredible pieces of gear. So many awesome flavors of gain we get to enjoy these days!

Tomorrow the TC Electronic Dual Parametric Equalizer arrives and I'll keep the neighbors awake all day….
The mark iic+ is a classic and does the tone we all know and love… but the mtl is just a beast. Mine definitely gets more playtime.
Let’s gooo!! They both sound killer!! I’m tempted to get a 4x12 now 😂🤘🏼
Do it bro!
@@ultimatemetalguitartones I think I might man, I want one for my mark iii

They both sound pretty similar to each other, I didn't think there was an amp that could sound like the Mesa.
Wizard sounds fuller with a deeper bottom end.
U said it !🤟🤟
Both good ooo dogies!
Oh yeah
Damn that wizard holds its own against that Boogie! Not many can say that! 🤘🤘🎉🤘🤘
Actually today I think I liked the wizard more lol
its priced higher than a vintage boogie
@@0megalul309 Wizards are expensive, but they are fat less $$$ than a mk2C+
50 or 100 watt wizard? Mk2?
What about a stereo mix? That's what i'm going for when I get the wizard
Next time ;)
