There's a guy who lives in the apartment below me who doesn't sleep. He's a Native American and he meditates for one hour a day. Now, some would say he is just sleeping for one hour, but it's not the same. He sits cross legged on the floor with his hands on his knees and that is enough to keep his mind from going bat shit crazy. It's quite amazing. We jam together and he's awake 23 hours and 1 hour deep meditation.
It’s impossible not to sleep, after months of this he would need to sleep. Maybe he naps 15/30 minutes every 4-5 hours. I highly doubt he doesn’t sleep at all. I’ve survived off naps broken up over time.

I was also totally broke at that point, i had 220$ to my name and the plane ticket had cost me 300$. I went back to the casino in Malta, bought in to a pokergame with literally the all the money i had, won 600$ so now i had 820$, booked a new flight 6 days later for 450$. met a finish guy in the casino the same night who had a hotel room already paid for but was broken outside of that. Lived with him for the next 5 nights and then went home. Crazy times.

So get out there, be active and productive and sleep through the night, you’ll feel way better.

And workin night shift for years in supermarkets and service stations. Startin at like 10pm or midnight and not finishing until 8am. Mines fucked now and it's not fun. 👍

That sleep deprived writing trick is true. I get my best ideas when I skip a night of sleep. However, your body will just shut down for a whole a day after that. Probably not healthy so dont try it.

I've been waking up at 4:30 everyday for a year now, working construction. Let me tell you, it's not as romantic as they make it sound. It personally kills my energy faster and gives me more anxiety. You also need to go to bed much earlier to have sufficient sleep to wake up that early. Kind of a redundant method to chasing the tail that we call time.

The most fun part by far was trying to cook up all the negative story elements, like the villain and other plot conflicts. It was like some lost 90s Frank Miller comic unfolding in my head.
i’ve heard that the veil between the physical n spiritual world is thinnest from 330-430 am and the best time to channel energy from beyond normal reality thru meditation or prayer whichever floats ur boat. It’s also the easiest time to Astral Travel. But also, if you want to go more scientific, when your brain switches from the rational side to the side of imagination or nice versa. I had a stretch where i kept waking up between those hours and couldn’t go back to sleep so i’d just start my day and felt the calmness of being awake when everyone else is sleeping.

The point in waking up for 4am is that it gives people who work later more time in the morning to be productive and better themselves. If you start work at that time wake up a few hours earlier and you should get the same effect.

I mean if it takes you let's say 30 minutes to do all of the above, then maybe 1 hour is perfect for you to get a workout in or a new hobby.

I have to get up at 4 am every morning to get ready for work... I'm so glad someone can validate this, bc folks give me such a hard time for my bed time being 8 pm every night. Getting up at 4 am 6 days a week to get myself ready for work and get my 6 year old and 5 year old twins ready for school so I can be at work by 6 am after dropping them off, really takes a toll on a person...
