F Troop was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I definitely had a crush on Melody back then.
Love so many of these old shows. Parmenter always seemed to be fighting off Jane's advances, and Davy Jones fought her off, too, on the Monkees and I always wondered why. Maybe the studio required this because in real life, Melody was underage?
I imagine the studio had to rethink that role when they found out how young she was. But Davy Jones should have run off with her! She was such a cute girl.

I only had recognized Melody when she portrayed "Wrangler Jane" on F-Troop. Melody sure had a very fun life. That's sad she didn't live well into old age though. Of course she was another one of my "tv girlfriends". If she got to pretend she was eighteen, then a young boy could at least pretend, too! Pretend just as much as a Hollywood actor can anyways.
There were so many cute girls on TV in the 1960s! You had a lot of TV girlfriends to choose from!
If they ever needed someone to play Melody in a movie they could use Venessa Ray from Blue Bloods. She wouldn't even need altering makeup. What a beauty! It's a shame she put her celebrity on hold for marraige.
So how did she end up in Missouri?
I'm not sure how or why she ended up in Missouri. There's not a lot of information on the end of her life, other than her health had been in decline for a few years. I wonder if her husband had ties to Missouri.
