How are we not talking about the "Mom, Spencer broke the wall!" part. That's so accurate to how kids act when something breaks. This sketch is perfect. Beck and Kyle deserve more live skits together.

This sketch is genuinely my brothers when we were growing up. One time one of them put their foot through a bedroom door and got it stuck there. When my parents got home he was sitting on the floor with his leg in the door and my other brother literally yelled “Dan broke the door”
I think this sketch exists because they wanted to buy vintage looney tunes shirts from 1992 and expense it to SNL.
yup i feel like the entire basis of the sketch was to use those cool shirts Kyle found at the flea market.

This feels like one of those sketches that was changed from dress rehearsal without telling the rest of the cast. Like at dress, Beck and Kyle were wearing pants or something, so seeing them in underwear instantly cracked everybody up.
I think you’re probably right. My guess is, that it’s the hose actually - at least in my pea brain. When Dad reaches for it, it’s pretty hidden. Cecily, Kenan and Aidy may not have seen it. Just Liev and Beck and Kyle knew. We have seen the sketch twice (this was the first) and it is a brilliant one, but it didn’t need the hose. It would have been fine if Dad had just yelled at Beck & Kyle, but that prop made it so incredibly heightened. And you probably know that it got even crazier the next time they did the sketch.
in another comment someone said Jim guessed exactly right, they were wearing shorts for dress, which is why Cecily broke as soon as she saw them 🤣

Jenn Rebo that’s exactly what they are! I remember wearing my six flags shirt or my Disney shirt I got on vacation as PJs after as a kid. One shirt was black and had the Disney villains on it that glowed in the dark, I remember holding it near the lamp the “charge” the glow-in the-dark part. 🤣

TCt83067695 It’s all a Silence of the Lambs reference. The killer (Buffalo Bill) wanted the women to moisturize their skin and whenever they didn’t, he would hose them down with cold water, hence it puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again.
I actually do keep a hose in the house. Mainly because i live in a condo/townhouse (it's zoned as a condo but more like a townhouse) and there is no outside faucet.

I loved Beck and Kyle before this, but this was so humiliating, and so amazing. They really swing for the rafters here and I love a good goofy slapstick SNL sketch maybe more than anything. Absolutely LOVE this sketch. Aidy Bryant’s face when she breaks is like a gift from the heavens, so perfect.

This was the best segment of a really good show. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an SNL episode written so well, with some of that classic random humor that has been absent for quite some time. I feel like they are finally letting Beck and Kyle ‘loose’ so to speak. It’s showing and I love it
