Oh aye
Saw that cheeky baby bell at 6:16 😂
Volume/ sound is fairly low mate
@joe griffins 3:35 ?
sick video, did anyone else have audio issues? i had my shit cranked but still really quite
Rich with that mad burnout in the end. What a legend 🤣
RIP Alex’s tires lol
Rich went "Like and SubscreeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Legend.
Best burnout I've seen on CZcams for a while..... And it was indoors!? Quality
Rich was setting up a time travel experiment
Quality 😂
Audio is low, but awesome episode
my thoughts exactly
I suspect that something sent the VU-meters flying and it reduced the overall level of the video.. but what could that be??????
I thought it was me , thanks
I thought it was my phone 🤦♂️🤣🤣
The ads almost kill you don't they 🤣
Rich is the sort of bloke that overhears you and your mates in the pub talking about something impossible and just chips in an says "I can do that"
you think he's like every billy big bollocks bugger in the past, but then he proves you wrong, say, "told ya" and carrys on drinking his pint as though it never happened
Spot on! i was thinking the same!
I guess he's also the guy you both love and hate living next door to his workshop 🤣
Went to him for a double res delete on my M140i, cheap as you like but quality job and even made sure to make the cuts in a way that allows the original resonators to be refitted 👌🏻
Your videos are genuinely something I look forward to every week... Brilliant content as ever Alex!
Thanks mate!
Agreed, it's like car throttle held you back. Taylor awesome addition too.
Rich looks like a crazy Doctor gone mad from doing so many experiments. Definitely a returning character to the show.
Hopefully replaces Taylor
@@CarsandtheirParts Nah Taylor is a g
Taylor is more than knowledgeable, true enthusiast.
Taylor is to the show what the wax is to the thermostat
We all need a Kettle.
Keep it classy(ish)… Side pipe the next one, not this one! 🙏 Amazing content Alex. Thank you! 🙌
LOVED HOW THE FABRICATER REVVED THE BRAKES !!!
I thought I'm the only guy who noticed 🤣🤣🤣 good job mate
that burnout sounded awesome
Rich really knows how to do a proper shed skid! What a legend 👍
Wood and Al at the Skid Factory just stirred a moment then 🤣
Just...it is always such a pleasure to watch you just hanging with regular car guys. Top marks boys!
Amazing. That’s proper bank robbery getaway. Can’t beat a straight six for a great racing sound!
*V8
@@apexmarbella this one is a straight 6
@@harveyshaw1466 Sorry, may have missed a video or 3 watching World Cup 2022. This XJR is now a straight 6 conversion?
@@apexmarbella no, this is the x300 and they all had a inline six, plus a V12. From mid 97, the revised XJ (x308) had the V8s and the V12 was dropped not long after.
@@GentilsGarage Apologies, señor. Enjoyed a '98 and '03 V8 in real life and stepped straight into the title on catching up on the channel. Sorry.
Rich is ‘the machine’! Think we need his colab on other projects
Love seeing Alex doing videos on this channel.
A bit more personal than the other channel.
Alex, you and Taylor (& Rory) are such an amazing gang! I really hope you guys go on another road trip like that one you did to Wales (heck, the first part of that at Castle Combe never fails to make me laugh 😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣)
My mate has his dads old 1988 bmw 750(e32) which he has done the same too
That sounds awesome.
Great video as usual.
Glad you didn’t go with the side exit on this car
Single greatest car you’ve bought yet. And that exhaust is out of this world. Love it
That sounds insane!!! 👌, Loving the channel Alex keep up the barmy projects also you and Taylor make a top duo with great screen presence its like watching 2 giddy toddlers. 😄
Now I understand why Rich has a two month waiting list. Jeez that sounded monstrous!
Excellent! Glad to see the mods coming through! :D
Props to rich, guys clearly the real deal with this stuff
Outstanding result
Sheeesh! That sounds amazing! 👌 can't wait to hear a pull!
What a sound I actually rewind it to listen again would look nice with side pipe and that sound
drivetribe / alex / hammond shootout is going to be awesome 🙂 looks like you won the soundoff event anyway !
Been going to Rich for some time now, got few cars done, great guy, good quality work and fair pricing. Great to see him getting good exposure even though he’s booked for next few months. Great video..
Cracking vid as always, your sound was mixed *very* low on this one though. Had headphone amp and PC volume cranked to max!
Another decent alex video as usual 👍
Alex I really like how you doing stuff. I do think you genuinely find value in the craftsmanship that goes into some of these great vehicles. Even if you were to do catch and release I'd still be content. Your sense of style is great and your friends are awesome. You could possibly be even an upgrade to Jeremy Clarkson and the 2000s Top Gear.
Congrats Rory on your new Jag!
You guys are nailing it with this channel 👍
Love the little mcm reference 🤣 great job. You guys get better and funnier in every episode 👍🏻🤣
Also The Skid Factory and a shed skid :)
We NEED to see more of Rich!
Making me contemplate a new exhaust on my 4.2 X100 XKR (same shape as Alex’s but with the bigger engine). I bought it with an after market exhaust on that sounds good but can always be improved.
Brilliant video.
Must admit, although it sounded lovely on idle, it sounded a bit 90's Max Power Peugeot for me at high revs.
Audio was quiet on the video (the ads nearly deafened me).
Keep the content going, and keep Taylor!
Now I understand why the volume is so low on this video. The ending makes up for it 😄
I am still eagerly waiting to see the result of the Fiats paint job.
That’s awesome but personally I’d want it with another box to make it nice and quiet with a little rumble but with a control bypass valve for when you want the high notes 👍🏻 best of both then
Another great video from alex taylor and rory love all the content
another great video Alex and what a mod on your xjr sounds very good cant wait to your next video
"No ones ever been killed by a side pipe.. lots of people been killed by Lions"
Pure poetry
That's so true and a great justification as to why fitting a side pipe is safer than the usual lion that comes as standard.
Sounds immense and is a proper awesome car now. One of Alex's cars should have a side exit exhaust though I'm glad its not this one, keep it relatively standard with a few minor upgrades as its a real classic car now.
Rich is the most genuine car enthusiasts in the the game my husband had his lexus GS 430 in for a full system sounded absolutely amazing 😍
The advert coming in was louder than the car, though both made me jump.
Oh and Rich was the star of the show. What a metalworking wizard.
I will say that central wiper is fantastic. This car is awesome
I love it too!
Some audio level issues in this video.... but I totally get why 😁
This is what audio compressors are made for 👍
It's ONE of the reasons why I watch this channel, when you do your CarVertical sponsor bit, I look forward to you showing the 'Damage' to the cars you show, and MAN!!! That m4!!! JEEEEEEEZUZCHRISSST!!! 😮😮😮 😎🇬🇧
one of the best videos ive seen in a long time relating to cars =D
Taylor is the Bob Ross of the car servicing. Also if you're going to side pipe something, it's got to have 8 cylinders and be a classic right? :P
Alex - just fookin awesome! love the Jaaaaaggg! and what you done so far!
I love a good detailed intro on a continued project
Working at a maindealer for jag i always thrive to see the potential in these engines. Least you have ticked off a box for me !😂
Newer jags are terrible, love the oldies.
Was that all shot on the same day? That build was insane!
Don't often like any videos on CZcams but i had to see after seeing that sick burn out, Rich is a boss
Your videos consistently make me laugh! Thanks again chaps!
Alex, your content is awesome. Love what your doing. I understand it’s hard work but 1 video a week ain’t cutting it. We need more. 2 a week would be nice lol
That is the goal for '23 🙏
Great channel
Sidepipe it!!!
Oh man that burnout at the end had some serious Midnight Club 3 vibes going on in my head :D
Ha I was looking forward to this episode, saw the auction onenthis morning, deglecting to check when it was posted I had no idea when this follow up episode would come in.
Oh Alex no, not straight pipes! Even with a single central muffler these things are unbearable. I had to drive mine with that exhaust setup from South Carolina to Massachusetts (over 900) miles when I first bought it, and breaking down ten miles from home was almost a sonic relief.
I have a 4.2 supercharged s-type as a fun car. I had a bespoke stainless straight pipe system made for it , I owned my own garage at the time. Ruined the car . Sounded great revving it up in the pub car park , but 5minutes on the motorway and I wanted to die. It stayed on for about 2 weeks. Sold it on fleebay for £700.😂😂
@@douggreen9433 At least you got some money out of it! Exhaust experimentation can be a pricey thing. I have found that having just the factory back boxes on a Jag (and straight-piping everything else) is a great balance between making for fun revs in the parking lot while keeping it mostly civilized on the motorway.
@@ofmanynicknames It runs with some nice sport back boxes now. They seem about right and keep the missus from shouting at me.😂
Wide body kit and factory alloys with wide friction welded barrels would look wicked.
Keen to see what else you do this thing, sounds awesome 👌
Excuse me but I think I had a proper trouser accident when I first heard the noise that Jaaaag made, what a legend of a fabricator to boot.
Proper stuff Alex and gang right here.
Well there goes my dreams of rebuilding my dads old xjr....
Was this your dads ? He looked after it so well !
@@machiningbasics1729 nah sadly not, he bought his in 2009 and had it for 8 years. Loved that thing but it got vandalised, we then re painted it on the driveway took it to festivals n what not. Ran out of funds n just sat there for a couple years before the weather took its toll. Planned on saving up n buying one to do all over again. There just gonna go up in price now 😂
the volume is SUPER LOW in this video wtf
I was wondering if I was the only one thinking that.
Loved the shed skid and the nod to Mighty Car Mods playing the air filter like Moog plays intercoolers.
Had Rich build me a full 3" exhaust system in the past, his work is really top quality stuff, he knows his shit for sure
Do not side pipe it !
What a machine! Rich looks like a top bloke, great work guys
That's sounds amazing wow I need some of that noise in my life
Keep up the great content Alex, always a joy! Look forwards to new videos all the time. Love from Norway. ( soon time to get a Volvo 240 I think.. )
Got to be the best channel on CZcams love it 🚘
Rich’s fabrication shop did the cage in my e36! He’s a great guy and did a top job too!
Alex, loving the straight pipes!! Am in St Omer and we've just bought a 6 pack of Candy Up!!! For you dude!
Awesome sauce for a dark fridays eve! 🤘😆
That sounds absolutely amazing
Been to Rich a few times for some welding absolute top man
That fabrication stuff was amazing. Great to see and understand proper engineering - go Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggg!!!
just wondering im currently working on a jaguar x300 and i need to sort out the fuel system including the fuel line and pump any advice of what things i can do with the engine to sort out the fuel and alternator problem
That burnout at the end was awesome 👌
I got my Audi rs5 done at Rich’s! Amazing job and so great to see you guys use him as well
What generation? Would love to own one at some point all A5 variants have such a stunning look
Can’t wait to hear it on the road nxt video I hope 🤞
I remember you mentioned that its very special to have a 4.0 straight six. In fact older Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees had a 4.0 straight 6 and it was one of the best engines to come out of Chrysler.
Straight 6 is smoother and simpler than a V8 but with a more modern dual overhead cam.
That man is a genius. That car tickled my ear drums right good. Proper job.
Great work!🙏🙏
I’d to put my earbuds on to enjoy it better haha well done, it sounds amazing!
Might be the best vid I’ve ever watched on CZcams
got to hear it last night at caffeine and machine great sounds
Definitely Yess on the Side Pipes! 💯
I love the jaguar content on this channel, The reason i subscribed to this channel
That Mad Lad Rich at the end !🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Might I suggest a set of headers for this beast? A full exhaust will do wonders for this engine.
Cheers!
What a sound 🤘🏻🤘🏻🔥🔥
Your videos always make me laugh and put a smile on my face... brilliant content as always Alex
Grace, pace and the SPL of a jet plane taking off. Sweet, sweet car.
Amazing, that sound😍🔥👌
Epic stuff Alex, sounds mega!
We need an under bonnet gopro footage of that supercharger when it's on full chat!
Loved the filter playing, not quite MCM/Moog hardcooler but great effort sir!
Look forward to seeing the new ride too
What a magnificent beast! I am super jealous of this one. In such good condition for the age.
A lovely sound that will be a thing of the past VERY soon💪
A drive by video is needed🙏
I doubt it. The electric car industry is headed for several crashes. Not enough power in the grid, charging time, danger of fire, cannot tow loads and not enough materials to make them. As a small part of the car market they are excellent but cannot replace even most cars.
You genuinely had me going for a moment, with that air filter thing!
I thought it was going to be a bit like the old paper-and-comb trick! 😆
Wow! What a transition! 🙌
