    Karthik also opens up on the dull period experienced by the Kannada film industry in 2024, the lack of consistency and planning from filmmakers and why it's dangerous to blindly follow the pan-India route.

    This is one of the honest interviews I've seen in recent times. Kudos to Karthik for being grounded in reality when films are all about hyping up false expectations and all about being as vague as possible.
    Great job as usual by Vivek. For being professional and informed. I hope to expect much more such content from you.

    With Dr Puneeth Rajkumar gone I don't see any future in KFI,it's almost dead. We needed a visionary star like him nd unfortunately we hv none. No one can come close to wat he did to our industry in such short span. His support to freshers inspite of being Biggest superstar made him a special one.
    Stars doin 1 film in 3/4 yrs doesn't help our growth in long term...we need visionaries nd Appu stood apart .
    For KRG their most profitable venture in theatrical run was Jackie re release collected 5cr wch none of their produced films did...this is wat we are missing,the Power.

      Kannada industry is not dependent on any one actor bro, there is a good & bad time, wait for some time there will be good movies releasing and new talents are coming, KFI have good future don't worry.

      @@movieworld-jd9wz it's freshers nd new talents that make industry grow for example in Malayalam u can see the support they get. Big stars doing one film in 3/4 yrs doesn't help in long term...we need someone like Appu to back the new talents nd support them.

    KFI should take some inspiration from Malayalam film industry.....rather than focusing on hero oriented mass film and we can make 5 good films in that budget.

      @adarsh_adi Před 23 dny +2

      Yes and For that KFI need to focus more on writers. Our audience also doesn't know any writer name while in Malayalam audience can easily say ohh this is the writer so movie could be good one. That's the difference

    Kfi need tier 2 tier 3 stars who can at least do business of 10-50cr. So that industry can survive. Only good films could do it. Always depending on tier 1 stars could be danger for the industry.

      ofcourse but then atleast there should be 6 movie releases of big stars [2 months once if taken as average]to keep industry moving..there should be sync between actors and their team so that you ensure we have some big releases every year constantly if other one cant make it ..This will inturn save theatres [mostly single screen] which inturn will allow smaller films to sustain by releasing them in most of single screen bare minimum..if by chance small films bomb, theatre owners can recover it from bigger movie releases.You just cant say good movies take time and escape.if every actor says the samething you will not have any releases of big star in the same year...
