Growing up asian we always ate at buffets and was taught to maximize value + profit. Each time we came out of the buffet, we never really knew if we got our money's worth. Well today we are going to find out- we are going to try and win against an all you can eat buffet by eating more than what we paid. Let's see how we do.

Seems like this channel has been a good channel for a while now .. I miss their old videos
To really beat the buffet, they have to eat more than $150 of menu items for the $50 buffet price, each person. Restaurants have a 30-35% food cost factored into their menu price. A 10 dollar meal usually is about $3 in food costs. The restaurant starts to lose money once you eat more than their food costs, so if you paid $50, and ate $50 worth of their food costs, that amounts to over $150 in menu price.
one tip I do is to wait for all the meat to be cooked and start by eating an entire plate while cooking the next round

I’m new here, and don’t know the members’ names. It seems like the guy on the left is more chaotic than the other members, haha
Bibimbap and mushrooms was a mistake, he could have had rice but it should have been a small white rice. Also cooking all the long cook time items first is a must. That way you build a surplus of the cooked food right off the bat and then can cook the fast stuff while eating. Then they should have considered the size vs cost and cook time. Beef tongue is a quick cook time, moderate cost but the smallest which means you can eat more before getting full.

I'm Indonesian and we try to maximize value when going to all you can eat too. I think this is a normal thing to do too, not cheap or anything. If you don't care about maximizing value why would you go to AYCE restaurant, might as well go to a la carte places that usually have better quality meat😅
I'm pretty sure every ethnicity tries to eat too much at all you can eat places. It's a fun thing to do. The strategy is a little different is all. Some people just eat a lot of food, not a normal portion but just the expensive kind.

Legit, I would only go for seafood because they're worth more. I'd have oyster, abalone, shrimp, lobster, as much as possible and last I'd eat meat that's worth more, like steak or lamb.
