Leao is not injured. He just doesn't like to see anyone else shine. I beleive that he is not passing to Pulisic on purpose.

      @rolandovivar6864 Před 4 měsíci +1

I doubt that is true. I think Leao, like most forwards, likes to shine by scoring, but is disappointed when he doesn't. CP does all the other "little" things to help the team. CP's passing with his left or right as well as shooting with both feet is a credit to his didication to be a complete player. His distribution is quality teamwork.

Leao is a very good player, but he tends to play “hero ball” where he wants to do everything himself and it bites Milan in the end.
In terms of Pulisic, time and time again he always finds himself for the most part, in those crucial spots to score or create opportunities for others but team is slow to react at times.

    Been saying it all
Year. Leao has never been opposite a world class talent or technician whatever you wanna call it, like pulsic. He had salamakers and messias. Pulisic had 9 goals and 11 assists on Chelsea as a twenty year old! He’s the youngest player to ever Hatrick for Chelsea. Ever. As the LW during project restart as the premier league called it. He started 9 games had 14 contributions. Including goal in the FA final which Giroud assisted. He was legitimately the closest thing to Eden hazard Chelsea had seen. Then he tore his hamstring was out for 4 months. Played
3 games for Frank and then Frank got sacked. Rest is history. Leao will play his last game at Milan by summer 2024 bc his ego won’t allow this to go on. And Milan fans shouldn’t be upset. Whatever pulisic puts up from the right add 10 if he’s playing from the left.

I think Leao is carrying an injury like you said, also Pulisic performing this well has added stress to Leao. He might not feel like the star player anymore and so he tries to make the play himself first rather than set up others. Pulisic was completely exhausted by the end he puts in way to much effort tracking back to defend he needs to get subbed off or he will get injured. Calabria is the one player I will give my unpopular opinion on, I would not trade him, I will defend him to the end just like Pobega. This was an ugly game but we got the win, looking forward to the next game, maybe we will see Chuck start for Leao or Pulisic I think one of those 2 needs to rest next game.

Pioli - got lucky against another poor team, thanks to Pulisic. He won't be fired before Summer unless we drop out of the top 4, but there is no chance he will stay for next season, finally.
Leao - he might be sold in January, hence the lack of enthusiasm for us. And we might as well sell him because he doesn't have the right attitude to become a real star. He's like a child. If he feels like it, he plays, otherwise just walks around. We can't afford that.
Giroud - He's fading fast. What do people expect from a 37 year old? Especially since we have virtually no crossers or long ball players. He is a classic target man, not a dribbler or a fast runner.
Reijnders - great signing but needs to practice shooting under pressure.

Great thru balls, one leading to the goal and balls over the top. RLC was sluggish and sloppy. I'd rather see good team play then depend on a player having to make a great play. Leao is the great play guy where as Pulisic is the neat and tidy system player. I will add that Peterson is a very good defender. He shut down Pulisic and when he went up against Leao a couple of times shut him down. I did think that Calabria played very well today. He was very good defensively and did offer a bit of offense. I agree with everything you said today. Glad you gave thumbs up to the midfielder. 1. The only thing saving Pioli's job is the lack of candidates to change him with.
    2. I reckon the whistles against Leao were a bit undeserved. Yes, that was an easy layoff for Pulisic but we've seen so many goals by Giroud where he goes back on the inside and pass back to him (which he went for but failed). I'd say a goal would've made all the difference (shame for the offside). He wasnt great yes, but I think we always expect Leao to solve it all because thats how Pioli has played for months now: chuck the ball to leao or giroud and hope something happens. When it doesn't...
    3. Calabria was truly massive.
    4. Jovic and Giroud are getting lost in the lack of play. We played 5-0-5 for most the match and that is insanely wrong.

The guy is a one man defense. But then you look at this year and he hasn't played a game with his new team because of surgery and injury issues. Maybe Milan backed out because they knew he had those issues.

Give Leão credit for his assists at least. It is not easy to play a bit out of position for him he needs to be closer to the box, not near the sideline

We shouldn't be booing Leao. Like for real, look at what we did to Hakan and he's been punishing us since then but Leao needs to improve he's decision making.

Green box: Theo Hernandez) Sometimes not being mentioned is as good as being praised. Theo stepped out of position and played a clinical game. Didn't make any major mistakes. Was in good positions when he needed to be. We can breathe a little easier, knowing he can do the job.
Green box: maignan) he wasn't called on to make too many difficult stops but he was there when we needed, and more importantly, he did it with confidence. He dominated his box and controlled his backline. His confidence gives confidence to players like Theo and kjaer. No doubt his confidence in the allowed the backline to get a shutout.
MVP: Bennacer) you would not have known he was coming off an injury. He was clinical on the ball. Played both sides of the ball very well. He had the assist on pulisics goal. Almost had a goal that went just wide. Was making the right passes and moves around the box. He was obviously the best player on the field.
Red box: leao, again!) 3 goals on the year. World-class players are consistent and leao has not been that this year. He was called offside multiple times. Had his pocket picked multiple times. But you could tell it wasn't going to be a good game early in the match. In the third minute, leao got the ball on the left side, pulisic made a run in the box and was wide open. Leao was offside on the play, but before the whistle blew, leao could have made the pass to a wide open pulisic and decided to pull the ball back and try to take on his defender only for him to lose the ball. At this point is leao issue his ability to get the job done or his ability to not be the guy scoring all the goals? His attitude when others score and his attitude when he isn't, is not one of a team player. His ability can't be denied but how much leeway does that get him when he isn't performing on the field, as a player or teammate?
Honorable mention: pulisic) pulisic go the goal, but he wasn't consistently dangerous. There were times he could of taken his defender 1v1 but instead cycled back. Pulisic is a player you can never count out. How many times has he been relatively quiet, and then out of nowhere, he scores a goal or helps create a goal? But I give him an honorable mention because of two things. 1) his attitude in the first half. He would throw his hands up any time something didn't go right. Be it a bad pass or decision by a teammate or himself. Now I look at this two ways. How much of it was pressure to get a win for his coach? The rumors were there that a loss would mean a loss of job for pioli. Pulisic has been on a coaching merry-go-round since he became a pro. First at bvb then at chelsea. Now he has a coach that wanted him. Believes in him, and is starting him week in and out. He is thriving and playing some of his best football at least from a statistical standpoint. I'm sure he felt the pressure of getting a win for his coach. 2) pulisic is a winner. He has a mentality that it's win over individual performance. Pulisic is as happy to score or get an assist as he is for a teammate getting scoring. He celebrates all like it is a final. The other thing we know, pulisic is his biggest critic. He wants to play every game perfectly, and when he doesn't, he gets down on himself. One way or another it doesn't come off well. No matter the intent behind it. He has to keep his head down and in the game. I also give him an honorable mention and not a green box because he didn't finish the game well. While he wasn't as goal dangerous as you would like on the right, he was calm on the ball and maintained possession. When he switched to the left, he made a couple of misplaced passes and gave up the ball when he needed to hold onto it and slow the game down to see out the win.

Tbf Leao has been out of form fron that champions league semis 2nd leg against Inter. After that match in serie a last season and from matchday 1 this season he has been looking like Rebic- few promising dribblings and moves but nothing more that that. I really hope he gets it going in second half of the season like you mentioned it, but still stand by my opinion that if managment has opportunity to get Conte next season or any new manager with dignity that we have to sell leao while he still holds his value, and give new coach funds to get players for his system and style of play. Because if Leao continues like this, he will return to that 30-40 mill player and then we are screwed.

  • @ohimats

Let's look at the numbers: In 1500+ minutes all comps, Leao scored 4 goals. In a thrid of that time, Jovic and Okafor each have 3 goals. those numbers are more or less expected. Pulisic has 7 goals and but to be honest, he's been inconsistent as well.
Yes the assists matter too. And Leao has 5 to Pulisic's 4 but do we seriously expect 9 goal contributions from a forward half way through a season when you are paying 8 million? Markus Thuram is 7 and 6, Lautaro 18 and 2. Neither of them have more minutes than Rafa. It's disappointing to say the least.
I could see you made a great amount of progress on the channel. The hard work and consistency is paying off.
    Happy new year Kush!

As I have said before, Leao's decision making so so poor at times. As spectators we can see that counter that should end with a goal through constructive play and passing but leao would choose a more "individualistic" approach and that kills of that attack. In todays game, when Isma lobbed the ball to Rafa in the first half (25th minute) he could have gone for a first time or hold on to the ball till giroud or pulisic arrive. In the end the result was just nil.

I also have the feeling that leo wants to leave after we dropped out of the CL. He said it time and time again, he wants to play in the cl that’s is ultimative goal. I think he knows that Milan is not in the position to win the CL. He might wanna leave. Very sad. I mean u can blame him and it’s fair but I blame pioli the most for the bad performenences. The way this team does not know how to play quick passes through the Defence must be very frustrating. And that’s the coaches fault. Would not want to play wich such a coach either

@maudalmusicalmachines3541 he only celebrated cp first goal. After that, people, including myself, realized leao wouldn't celebrate with pulisic. That was at the start of the year like week 3 or 4. I honestly think leao is just mad that he isn't "the guy" on the team. He wants to be top dog and now has to share the ball and limelight with cp. That 3rd minute opportunity where leao looked up and could have hit cp with a tap in goal and decided not to, pretty much proved everyone right. Leao does not want cp or anyone else to be successful
