My National Homebrew Competition Results 2023

This video goes over my results for the 2023 National Homebrew Competition. I did not perform as well as I had hoped, and I had a few issues that I will need to correct for next year's competition!
My submissions:
Summer Saffron - C2E
Tropical Pineapple - C2B
Pullman Cider - C1A
British Humor - C1B
All of the ciders with the exception of the pineapple had some variety of an off flavor that appears to be introduced during or after bottling. This is unfortunate because it seriously detracts from the product that I was trying to submit. The saffron cider even refermented, which is a big issue.
Additionally, the judges noted a lack of balance for the ciders I have made. I am re-brewing each of these with an emphasis on balance is eliminating off-flavors.
Here's to continuous improvement though! Next year will be better!

I am new to cider making and I love your videos. It’s nice that you went through the score sheets. I’ll be interested to see how you adjust your recipes over time based on the feedback that you received. I realize it helps to make what you enjoy, but good feedback can be really helpful as well as your own taste

Yeah lol, that one was rather unpleasant. For future submissions, I'm going to pasteurize all bottles to ensure no refermentation and kill any infection.
