Best channel for gun and gear reviews. You're the best. Many years ago, I almost ordered a full sized Canik off the Century Arms website but just decided not too. This gun is a winner if you want to buy something for just under $400 but it's a bit big and a bit heavy. Otherwise, I'd go with Taurus PT series, which I have. I carry my Taurus because the mags interchange with my Sub 2000 that has the P226 mag catch installed. A handgun and PCC that uses the same magazine is a win-win.
As a hunter I was a big shotgun and rifle guy. The only pistol I owned was a Ruger GP100 .357 6” SS barrel wheel gun and a very cheap .22 pistol with .22 snake shot rounds for when I hunted as rattlers and copperheads were always around, so recently with Trump done I decided to get a CCW. I bought a S&W M&P 9mm. However, it was a pain to rack. No matter what. My gun store guy took it back and recommended a Canik TP9 Elite SC or he would order an S&W M&P EZ. I would have to wait for the S&W or take the Canik which cost less. I took the Canik. Went to the range with my buddy and just enjoyed the heck out of it with iron sights. Accurate handgun. I did buy an Upula loader as it made a huge difference. I also bought an extra mag and ammo including defense rounds. For CCW I am thinking not to get a red dot sight. I enjoy your videos. Any of your videos on red dot sights for the Canik sc? Thanks.

Maybe I an ask Sarah Mac on Tuesday when you're streaming live. One question I do have is this . . . at 3-1/2 to 3-3/4 lbs. on the trigger pull, that seems to me as if that's more in the range of what you'd want for a competition pistol than for a conceal carry firearm. Is it advisable to have a striker fire conceal carry pistol with that light of a trigger with or without a manual thumb safety?
as long as you have a proper holster you should be fine, guns dont go off unless you pull the trigger. Most of the "it was so light it just went off" stories are BS.
Looks like a great little pistol. I only wish they would make a sub compact version like the original TP9v2 that had the decocker in the top of the slide as I don't care for small carry guns where the striker is fully cocked and there is no external safety especially if it's going to be carried in a pocket... I have one of the older Smith & Wesson SW99 compact which is a copy of the Walther P99 Compact and they have the decocker in the top of the slide and hold 10 Rounds which I think is a perfect little concealed carry pistol and is the exact same size as a Glock 26

I own the CZ. And a Canik. I bought a np3 striker for my p10s. Took about 1/2 lb off trigger and removed 50% of the trigger "smoosh". So the CZ wins. But cost $600 to buy & get it into this condition.
Canik light arms company is located at my hometown. As mentioned it is pronounced as “jun” as in “bun” but instead of b sound its a j + “neek” as in “cheek” but instead of ch, its n. The meaning: its a name of a district in a northern city “Samsun”.
This video is 4 years old and the Elite SC is still one of the best compact/subcompact 9mm pistols on the market. Holosun 407K on mine and 25 yard shots are a piece of cake. Good looking, easy to shoot and as accurate as any gun on the market, not to mention the trigger is one of the best striker fire triggers you can buy, including aftermarket. All that and still cost less than $400. Add in the fact that it shares magazines with my MC9 all the way up to my Rival. Sorry G19, you have taken up permanent residence in the safe.
My neighbor just got one with the Bronze upper. We took to Second Amendment in Yulee, Florida. I was the first to shoot it right out of the box, no lube added, the first two shots were off center but the rest went thru my quarter size hole. I'm impressed. My neighbor, he did keep most shots on the paper, LOL. Masonry Plus Florida DeSantis Strong
Great review but I just have to say that Canik doesn't ship a serpa style owb holster. The "button" on the holster is just a retention device that doesn't need to be depressed to release the pistol from the holster

@@carlton2361 ..I'm not crazy about a Turkish made gun when their so many great guns out on the market...To each their own..
@@The-Homecook-0000 lmao what does country of origin have to do with the quality of a pistol? It's not like your money goes to the turkish government 🙄
I have two caniks I love them
Was going to buy this gun to have another red dot pistol but the shield rms cost more than the pistol. Crazy.
Watching this again , that is one good looking handgun brotherman ❤️👍
Another great, fun video. The Elite SC shoots as great as the Elite and the SF but takes up less room. My only wish is that it could mount a Vortex Venom like the SFx. Great review on a great gun.
Just bought this pistol at $340 including tax.....I have the 5 inch TP9 and love it, a tack driver out of the box. Cant Wait to shoot this SC !!! Thanks Sootch !
Hurley Welding and Woodworks makes a 3d printed extended mag that takes away the lil gap behind the mag base guys.
Lol just got mine for $329 in the store. Seriously this is a hell of a gun. Excited to take it out to the range when it opens again.
clear cut no bullshit review. love this guy.
I have my sights on one of those. The price + what I've heard about them = can't pass it up.
I own the CZ. And a Canik. I bought a np3 striker for my p10s. Took about 1/2 lb off trigger and removed 50% of the trigger "smoosh". So the CZ wins. But cost $600 to buy & get it into this condition.
Excellent review. I just bought this exact pistol but with the pre-mounted Shield SMR, incredibly excited to shoot it
I feel like I'm in a transformer's movie with that intro music.
Canik light arms company is located at my hometown. As mentioned it is pronounced as “jun” as in “bun” but instead of b sound its a j + “neek” as in “cheek” but instead of ch, its n. The meaning: its a name of a district in a northern city “Samsun”.
Those sights aren't standard on the elite. Looks like XS big dot sights. They normally come with a fiber optic front and a blacked out Warren rear.
You're right...... those are XS Sights Big Dot. Thanks for pointing that out.
Lol I was about to say "WOW big dots are now a factory standard on a pistol".
I thought for a minute they had changed the sights. Mine has the interchangeable fiber optic front and the blacked out U notch in back
This video is 4 years old and the Elite SC is still one of the best compact/subcompact 9mm pistols on the market.
Love your reviews and all your content, that said “ fairly Medium hands” you got me there 🤣
Why is it that whenever you do a review i get the itch to drive to my local FFL.... another job well done! Keep up the good work Brother!
My neighbor just got one with the Bronze upper.
We took to Second Amendment in Yulee, Florida.
I was the first to shoot it right out of the box, no lube added,
the first two shots were off center but
the rest went thru my quarter size hole.
I'm impressed.
My neighbor, he did keep most shots on the paper, LOL.

Great review but I just have to say that Canik doesn't ship a serpa style owb holster. The "button" on the holster is just a retention device that doesn't need to be depressed to release the pistol from the holster
Ryan Mordick helpful to know!
@@arikjohnson412 check out the accessories video posted on CZcams by Canik, helpful stuff
I’m stuck between Cz p10s or the canik tp9 elite sc
Which did you go with bc I am in the same boat as well
We need update!!!
I just did buy one my self. And I love to me is a great little gun love the love recoil is a great gun for the price. Can beat that
Amazing weapon and at a very accessible budget
@john Carlos thanks i will check
Awesome review, Canik rocks I have all the Canik line .
This will be my 2nd Canik purchase ...
:49 seconds, gangster style shooting 😂😂 nice review as usual 👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻
Excellent review of this weapon. Thank you.
