He had to make it a cross guard cuz when he bled the crystal he cracked it because he was so conflicted between the light and darkside so the sides worked as vents that’s why his saber was unstable cracked and sparked

I will say I purchased this legacy saber today after researching all the older ones for a few months. I can say without a doubt in my testing in store and watching videos the Ben Solo Legacy Saber had the best sound and motion capture of all the line.
I like both, but I think that the normal one-blade saber is just overall cleaner than the cross guard, I would have to say that I prefer the one-blade saber
Episode 9 spoiler I hope they make Leia’s saber and Rey’s yellowish/orange saber that she makes for herself at the end of the movie. Both are must haves.

I am OBSESSED with the Kylo version of the saber. Back in 2015 I was scrambling for any form of physical prop of it. I got a dodgy custom 3D print of it as soon as someone made one. And then I bought the $10 plastic extendable one when it came out. And then on Christmas Eve I got the first Hasbro version. I now own a Korbanth version that isn't installed yet, that I wanna get painted up with a nice expensive paint job one day. I've also seen people selling resin casts of the Prop Shop hilt that have very nice paint jobs too. And I want one of those because it's literally a direct cast of the screen used prop. Bro, I could go on for years about how much I love that piece. The Ben Solo version also has a special place to me, if it's done well enough. The Galaxy's Edge version here is a little too chunky for my taste. The middle needs to be every so slimmer, and the emitter is definitely too thick, due to the blade system they use. But there are customs of it out there that really go for that screen accurate look. And if it's got the right amount of weathering, I'd totally be down to get one eventually. Until then, I'll stick with my current baby. My Korbanth hilt is my current long-term project. And I wanna make sure it's finished just right.

These are so damn sick, Bens story from Light to Dark and back to Light was absolutely incredible even if it wasn’t the ending I personally wanted. Always looked forward to him in the trilogy. Just so you know you can push the battery pack in and twist it to lock it in to place. I believe that is why you had a little trouble getting the pummel on.

About the sound effects for Ben's lightsaber, you're right. But also for Leia's saber and Rey's sith version. The Skywalker sound (the production company for creating sound effects for all movies, like the Star Wars saga and Marvel films etc), did not put much effort into creating the sound effects of those sabers. For Rey's yellow lightsaber I might make an exception.

I can't believe they made this Legacy version of Ben's Jedi hilt and included the red piece on the bottom of the pommel. The pommel piece is the same chrome colour as the rest of the hilt. I can't believe they screwed that up. Obviously the pommel was painted red during the period of time that Ben turned to the Dark Side, became Kylo Ren and repurposed his Jedi Lightsaber to look like a Sith-style hilt, replacing the blue crystal with a cracked red one, adding the red wire up the side, painting it black and converting it into the janky cross-guard hilt that we all know and love. He obviously painted the pommel cap red during that time. There's no doubt in my mind. Think about it, Ben is a Jedi, he built his own Lightsaber, the entire hilt is chrome. Why the hell would he have randomly decided to paint the pommel cap red??? He wouldn't, and he didn't. It makes no sense whatsoever. I started building my own Lightsaber hilts years ago so that I could make them 100% screen accurate. I'm positive that neither Master Replicas, Hasbro or Disney have ever made a single Lightsaber that was accurate to the way they looked in the films. The fact that they don't pay attention to details like this/just don't care about this stuff drives me crazy. ESPECIALLY when they sell these things for hundreds of dollars. I own seven Hasbro Force FX Lightsabers and every one of them is inaccurate. They look cool and are fun to mess around with, but they're so obviously inaccurate. Especially the prequel era hilts. Every prequel era hilt is WAY too wide. They're all bulky and chunky like the original Graflex Skywalker saber seen in Episode 4 and 5, and later in the sequel trilogy. In the prequels, all the Lightsaber hilts, both Jedi and Sith were all substantially skinnier, far more sleek looking and were far way more practical and comfortable to handle/fight with. They just looked so much cooler in the films compared to the ugly fat inaccurate versions that Hasbro makes. Both the Force FX sabers as well as the Black Series sabers, they're all too fat. That's why Anakin's hilt he used in Revenge of the Sith is referred to as the "Skinny-Flex", it's a skinny redesign of the original trilogy "Graflex" 3 Cell flash handle. I actually bought the Black Series Kylo Ren cross-guard Lightsaber back when it first came out, and it looked awful, right outta the box. The hilt was so inaccurate, the paint job was embarrassingly sloppy, and it was just so damn fat and bulky. Crazy heavy as well, it was by far the most uncomfortable hilt I've ever held in my hand. It's very clear to me that they didn't even try with that one. I immediately put it back in the box and returned it, and luckily I was able to get my hands on the "Disney Parks" version of Kylo's saber without having to actually go to Disney World, or pay an Insane amount of money for it. The Disney Parks Kylo saber isn't 100% accurate, but it's extremely close, and is so much better looking, sounding, etc. than that horrible Hasbro Black Series version. It's like a night and day difference. I'm never wasting my money on another Force FX/Black Series Lightsaber. Like I said I have many Hasbro sabers, but building my own hilts has been amazing. I can grab any one of the hilts I built myself and hold it up next to images of the original from whichever film it's in and you cannot tell the difference. That's what Replicas are supposed to be, not half-assed attempts at making something sort of look like something from a movie. Shame on these lasy bastards. -
My theory is that after he was corrupted the crystal he actived lightsaber it was so unstable that he had make that crack so he can even stable it stay in one place but then both little sabers come and broke the saber then he made crossguard.
I bought the last Ben Solo saber, sauvies was booked for virtual and reservations for the day, same with the droid building, so I bought a legacy saber instead.
If I was to buy a legacy saber, I would have to pick this one: I am a DIE HARD Legends/pre-disney fan...but I liked how they redeemed Ben. Plus, the hilt reminds me of Centerpoint Station: The lines and coloration, as well as the burned effect suggesting slightly rigged or unstable tech mirrors that, as well.

Spoiler warning/speculation We’re past the time of that. Also I’m pretty sure Ilum, the planet where Jedi go to get crystals is starkiller base. So she would’ve had to have found a saber crystal somewhere and who knows where she got it, possibly the temple where she trained with Luke? Also she guards the order now, as she is the remaining Jedi so I think it’s fitting.
Yellow Kybers where not exclusevily a Temple Guard thing. Yellow represents the very Light Side of the Force and hope. Rey now is both a true Jedi and a protector of the flame of hope that burns in the galaxy. She took the surname Skywalker because they became a legend.
Yellow represents Guardian and Warrior the color is usually associated with someone that protects the knowledge of the Jedi Rey could not have received a better color for her character I just wish they showed her crafting it
I really wanna get the Ben Solo one ... I picked up the Kylo Ren Legacy Lightsaber my last trip down to Florida, however the Ben Solo one was sold out and not sure when my next trip down will be yet.

Kylo Ren is Ben Solo after he was a Jedi he was Luke Skywalkers padawan, but then changed the dark side... he changed this Jedi lightsaber and somehow the kyber crystal became cracked so he constructed two vents on either side to divert the excess plasma from the cracked crystal and thats why it has a crossguard design
The symbolism in the light side and the dark is very i would say satisfying kylo tried to give power to gis side blades by connecting a wire to the ignitor and give side blades power by not using the force and making it look so warred down and not stable While the light is the balance in his mind and the force :)))

I think if they were limited edition it would be printed on them somewhere (for marketing and to manufacture scarcity) and would be about $250.
Limited editions always go like "4/1000" to say you have the number 4 out of a 1000 made.

I can't believe they made this Legacy version of Ben's Jedi hilt and included the red piece on the bottom of the pommel. The pommel piece is the same chrome colour as the rest of the hilt. I can't believe they screwed that up. Obviously the pommel was painted red during the period of time that Ben turned to the Dark Side, became Kylo Ren and repurposed his Jedi Lightsaber to look like a Sith-style hilt, replacing the blue crystal with a cracked red one, adding the red wire up the side, painting it black and converting it into the janky cross-guard hilt that we all know and love. He obviously painted the pommel cap red during that time. There's no doubt in my mind. Think about it, Ben is a Jedi, he built his own Lightsaber, the entire hilt is chrome. Why the hell would he have randomly decided to paint the pommel cap red??? He wouldn't, and he didn't. It makes no sense whatsoever. I started building my own Lightsaber hilts years ago so that I could make them 100% screen accurate. I'm positive that neither Master Replicas, Hasbro or Disney have ever made a single Lightsaber that was accurate to the way they looked in the films. The fact that they don't pay attention to details like this/just don't care about this stuff drives me crazy. ESPECIALLY when they sell these things for hundreds of dollars. I own seven Hasbro Force FX Lightsabers and every one of them is inaccurate. They look cool and are fun to mess around with, but they're so obviously inaccurate. Especially the prequel era hilts. Every prequel era hilt is WAY too wide. They're all bulky and chunky like the original Graflex Skywalker saber seen in Episode 4 and 5, and later in the sequel trilogy. In the prequels, all the Lightsaber hilts, both Jedi and Sith were all substantially skinnier, far more sleek looking and were far way more practical and comfortable to handle/fight with. They just looked so much cooler in the films compared to the ugly fat inaccurate versions that Hasbro makes. Both the Force FX sabers as well as the Black Series sabers, they're all too fat. That's why Anakin's hilt he used in Revenge of the Sith is referred to as the "Skinny-Flex", it's a skinny redesign of the original trilogy "Graflex" 3 Cell flash handle. I actually bought the Black Series Kylo Ren cross-guard Lightsaber back when it first came out, and it looked awful, right outta the box. The hilt was so inaccurate, the paint job was embarrassingly sloppy, and it was just so damn fat and bulky. Crazy heavy as well, it was by far the most uncomfortable hilt I've ever held in my hand. It's very clear to me that they didn't even try with that one. I immediately put it back in the box and returned it, and luckily I was able to get my hands on the "Disney Parks" version of Kylo's saber without having to actually go to Disney World, or pay an Insane amount of money for it. The Disney Parks Kylo saber isn't 100% accurate, but it's extremely close, and is so much better looking, sounding, etc. than that horrible Hasbro Black Series version. It's like a night and day difference. I'm never wasting my money on another Force FX/Black Series Lightsaber. Like I said I have many Hasbro sabers, but building my own hilts has been amazing. I can grab any one of the hilts I built myself and hold it up next to images of the original from whichever film it's in and you cannot tell the difference. That's what Replicas are supposed to be, not half-assed attempts at making something sort of look like something from a movie. Shame on these lasy bastards. -

My theory is that after he was corrupted the crystal he actived lightsaber it was so unstable that he had make that crack so he can even stable it stay in one place but then both little sabers come and broke the saber then he made crossguard.

I bought the last Ben Solo saber, sauvies was booked for virtual and reservations for the day, same with the droid building, so I bought a legacy saber instead.
If I was to buy a legacy saber, I would have to pick this one: I am a DIE HARD Legends/pre-disney fan...but I liked how they redeemed Ben. Plus, the hilt reminds me of Centerpoint Station: The lines and coloration, as well as the burned effect suggesting slightly rigged or unstable tech mirrors that, as well.

We’re past the time of that. Also I’m pretty sure Ilum, the planet where Jedi go to get crystals is starkiller base. So she would’ve had to have found a saber crystal somewhere and who knows where she got it, possibly the temple where she trained with Luke? Also she guards the order now, as she is the remaining Jedi so I think it’s fitting.
Yellow Kybers where not exclusevily a Temple Guard thing. Yellow represents the very Light Side of the Force and hope.
Rey now is both a true Jedi and a protector of the flame of hope that burns in the galaxy. She took the surname Skywalker because they became a legend.

Yellow represents Guardian and Warrior the color is usually associated with someone that protects the knowledge of the Jedi Rey could not have received a better color for her character I just wish they showed her crafting it

I really wanna get the Ben Solo one ... I picked up the Kylo Ren Legacy Lightsaber my last trip down to Florida, however the Ben Solo one was sold out and not sure when my next trip down will be yet.
I grabbed Both Reys(anakins reforged) and Bens. Live them both. Bens is slightly bigger than the other legacy sabers.

well no s**t... Kylo Ren is Ben Solo after he was a Jedi he was Luke Skywalkers padawan, but then changed the dark side... he changed this Jedi lightsaber and somehow the kyber crystal became cracked so he constructed two vents on either side to divert the excess plasma from the cracked crystal and thats why it has a crossguard design

The symbolism in the light side and the dark is very i would say satisfying kylo tried to give power to gis side blades by connecting a wire to the ignitor and give side blades power by not using the force and making it look so warred down and not stable
