phew major milestone done. Congratulations. I got my greencard in middle of covid year last year after 12 years. I have been in this country for over 30 years though I moved out of the country twice (for about 6 years) in that 30 years and started my work based GC application about 13 years ago.

I have a question. How much time did you wait between the day you apply and the day that you have the interview? I applied in May 2020 and I still waiting for the interview. Thank you!
Mine unfortunately took 1.9 years. That’s mainly because of covid. Yours should be any day. What does your status say.
@@YudiJ October last year I received my I-797 (Work permision and Advance Parole). But that's all..I will need to re-apply for that because will expire in three months and I didn't receive anything about my Interview.

I am surprising Marriage based green card is straight forward interview, and proving your relationship., Do we really need lawyer.....Can't ask your personal status situation in comments if it was complicated.....Just curious....!!!
Why do you need attorney, I think you can do you own, you can follow step by step instructions on uscis website. It’s pretty easy.
I did not know until I had already paid fees to lawyer.
@@YudiJ just remember for next time, you have to apply permanent green card after 2yrs. It’s like baking a cake, just fellow the uscis instructions.

We already crossed 2 years of marriage.
@@YudiJ for first time you will get 2yrs conditional green card. Then you have to apply for permanent green card, which is good for 10yr but since you are married to USA citizen you can apply for citizenship after 3yr from first green card issue date. You said you are married for 2yrs, in that condition you have to be married for 3yr then you can direct apply for permanent green card.

Depends on what you want from moving to either of these countries. Both have pros and cons. I moved from USA to Canada as it was easy to get permanent residency in Canada and USA immigration is a very unpredictable process.
USA:
Great country, great opportunities, you’ll always make more money and pay less taxes. BUT, if you want more stability, it doesn’t provide it as much (if you are Indian born and seeking employment based immigration).
Canada:
There’s a reason why Canada is called the happiest country on the planet. Canada is beautiful, very inclusive. There are a lot of opportunities here but the pay is comparatively lesser that the USA. However healthcare is free and immigration is much more predictable

Yudi, your attorney could have saved your RFE by realizing that your medical was more than 2 years ago and you should bring new medical during interview. But anyways you have opportunity to provide new medical through RFE now, it just adds paperwork and delay.
