Just some thoughts. Most searches go from head to toe. Keeping your hat is a 50/50 prospect. Then it’s a pat down looking for lumps and bulges, arms armpits, sides, waist band, crotch, legs to the ankle. Your pockets are dumped, hat checked. Now how will you fair with that search? A cache belt, good chance it will get a pass. Boots with hidden pockets for small thin blades might be missed, hidden pockets also for soft compact items as well. Make sure any restraint escape tools are accessible for front or behind the back access. That’s your Kevlar cord, handcuff key or micro knife. Other tools are second to that. Remember once you remove your restraints, you’re committed to escape and evasion. Do what it takes to escape. That’s when other tools like compass becomes important. Weapons for defense, resistance of recapture would be nice too, if you can get them.

Great to see the wazoo cap. They come with and without patches now and in other colours. What you really need though is the wazoo cache belt ;-)
Yeah l was thinking of getting one of the new ones. I like the look of the belt but this one was very cheap and more low key.
Very informative, and great ideas to have items on your person to help out in certain situations you may find yourself in....I have a couple of pairs of the 5.11 trousers, nice and comfortable, and never knew about the little hideaway sections...until now.

Love your page if memory serves me right you was in a documentary years ago about the Pathfinders . I’m a son of a paratrooper my dad was ex 1 Para god rest his soul . So for me I can trust your techniques and knowledge. Respect mate.

That rectangular opening on your crkt seat belt cutter, is an oxygen wrench, to open oxygen tanks to flow for o2 in case of respiratory issues. I have the same tool on my keychain. Cheers from the States!

Great video mate. Great minds think alike. I did exactly the same thing with the same belt about a year ago. The only thing is that they tend to 'slip' a bit through the buckle when you are walking. This is not a problem because with just a quick pull you are right as rain. However, to make things easier you can rub a stick of some carpenter's beeswax (always good to have and dirt cheap) into both sides of the belt that feeds into the buckles. This restrains the slippage. The beeswax stick, by the way also works wonderfully on zip, and stuck draws and sash windows. Costs about a quid.
As for content, I agree. Except I add, inter alia, a razor blade (in a packet), zip ties, an alcohol wipe and a £20 note. I do not have a fishing kit on the basis that in ten years as a kid I never caught a sodding one with a proper fishing kit, so I don't fancy my chances with a bit of line and some hooks.
Oh yeah, and a condom. Not for water, you understand. I just might get lucky. You don't always want to "escape and evade."

i wear the wazoo cache belt everyday, I have it loaded with rimalliry bushcraft survival gear, fishing kit, cordage, small flashlight, fire tinder, matches, zip ties, water bag, water tablets, small swiss army knife, in recent days, due the state of affairs in Canada and world these days, I have added kevlar cordage, a hand cuff key and ceramic razor blade, i just got a few more escape ideas from your video, thanks for that,

I enjoyed this. There were some great ideas shown. Have you ever considered a small spool of kevlar cord? That would certainly easily cut though plasticuffs plus many other uses.

That's some pretty awesome information. I just bought two pairs of tactical pants and I'll get busy figuring out what to carry and how to carry it in the pants. I don't foresee being captured by anyone but in this present screwed up political atmosphere of ours you never know. I am a prepper and prepared for bugging out but as we all know stuff happens. So, better to be safe than sorry. I do wear a boonie hat when bushcraft camping and it's got wire snares in the inside brim, #36 bank line wrapped around the outside and held in place with small safety pins, a fishing hook that is actually a decorative item but can be used, two small Bic lighters in two separate loops. They are wrapped in bright orange electrical tape which keeps them secured in the loops. I have a small Olight with a hat clip secured on one side of the hat with zip ties; when I need light I just depress the rear button on the Olight. Around my neck I have a small CRKT neck knife and a high decibel whistle on a 22 inch length of 550. My watch has a Brunton compass attached to the band and about 10 to 12 inches of bright orange tape divided in two places of the watch strap. On my right wrist I made my own 550 paracord wrist bracelet that has a small ferro rod, a whistle and a button compass. If I unravel the bracelet I have approximately twelve feet of paracord. In my right boot I have a six inch tanto blade in a ballistic nylon sheath and it blends in well with my boot color. One item I have found that is handy to carry are a couple of small hair pins or bobby pins some know them as. They are great for removing splinters, ticks and ear wax. I heard of them opening hand cuffs as well.

I love your videos. What could make sense for this kind of scenario is a little laminated printout of important telephone numbers (of friends, family, embassy - if one could not remember them all) so that you can make a call if you managed to escape. Maybe bank account numbers (without Keywords, passwords of course) can also be helpfull. Also money is in my opinion in this scenario super important as EDC. Hidden on various spots. - oh, and it is helpfull to store a digital coppy of the passport, ID, travel coduments, flight documents etc. online in a "cloud" so that you have excess to it if you manage to escape with nothing left on you. You can download this document then from an internet cafe for example.
Roger that, yes definitely all good ideas. I keep a small USB drive with all my personal docs in my bug out bag, that’s something that could easily be hidden in one’s clothing.

What i like a lot is that you bring "real life knowledge" and that you use also low price and civilian equipment, like the pink nail polish remover pads, taped with olive tape. Thats cool and not so gucciish. Its more like in my boyscout time and in my opinion all this knowledge is still legit.

Interesting tricks and I don't see any better conveniant place to hide stuff, but I'm wondering how famous these belts are among potential kidnapers (especially some milician or military ones). Because if you test any prepper guy he'll probably know the trick and check the belt before even checking the boots or the hidden pockets on the clothes, I assume. But maybe in practice it would work, idk (?)... Concerning the cap, I'd be afraid it would most probably fall down at the moment of the capture.

Yeah it's all down to the situation and these are some ways of carrying your kit.
@@PreparedPathfinder understood. I train certain US government personnel to survive overseas in non-permissive environments, and part of that training is to not look like a hard target. When they're on mission I need them to blend in and not do things that highlight their mission or capabilities.

Nice ideas. Then there's hooded, tied behind the back and ear plugs, if i were taking someone away hostage or otherwise, I don't want them seeing, knowing what's going on or being able to hear traffic noise, voices etc. But it's good to see techniques in action. I like the map fold thing, I was thinking of getting a map printed on a scarf, not that it's a need at any point I can see at the moment. Good video. I have often thought about the shtf scenarios and in practicality many things people think of are ill thought out. A bit of planning and common sense may keep you alive for a while, but after say 78 hours plus you need more longer lasting solutions, they w2ould be my concern but at 61 i'm not sure if i'll be around.

Gentle suggestion;
Modify your hat with with a small patch filled with sand at top / inside of your hat..
Use your imagination for its uses...
PS, my handcuff key has clips attached, so I can place them in strategic locations (ie) inside boot laces, inside wrist watch band, button hole (ect) & my boot laces are made from
Kevlar, originally developed for the forest fighter's, but has many clandestine uses...
Re the sand,
A pinch on the tongue will help induce salivation, it can be used as a tiny waterfilter (fill biro tube with sand and run water through it in conjunction with the hats cloth.)
Or just throw it in your captors eyes and use the confusion to book it outta there :-D
If your captors are half decent folk (Odd concept for kidnappers I know but if you're a hostage its in their interests to keep you healthy) then you can use the sand to give yourself a big blister or as an eye irritant so that they seek medical attention for you, opening communication on your plight, possibly to the outside.
@@OldNavajoTricks the concept for "Sand in the hat" for me was to use as a "Sap Cap" or a blunt force object, Discrete, Reinforced Pouch sewn into the back of ballcap undetectable personal defense Baseball-style cap hat weapon. Commercially sold here in the US....
A type of sand that carries weight & can pass a through a metal detector, would be preferred as to what I'm referring to, not to underestimate your vaild ideals, thnx's for your reply.....

I don't think I'd hide the handcuff key in the bottom of my pants, that'd be pretty aggravating having your hands cuffed behind your back and knowing your just out of reach from the key that could free you.

Good video. But a caveat - anyone worth their salt is going to sanitize you and put you into other clothing. It would be worth mentioning that your escape attempt should happen as quickly as possible, after capture, to increase success.
Once everything was “confiscated” and you were left with only the belt, and pants, I think you had no means at all of making fire ????? (I think they would take the hat.)
As interesting as this video is, E & E takes a long time to practice properly, in the forces it take months of daily training, with in depth instruction. As far as B 2 0 goes, it was one the biggest "F" up's of all time ❗️Not something anyone would want to copy 🥴
