my parents have a video from 1989 where I was 3 and the video was the boxer looking fed up at the camera like "Enough with this smelly nerd" as I was swatting at his face and causing a ruckus. Faithful companion until 2000

Telling your baby they shouldn't hurt pets even if not causing much damage since young age is a very right thing to do imo. They have to learn to respect creatures around them too!

Good job momma being right there and examining the dogs body language and setting boundaries for babies. I grew up with boxers and think there is no better dog around kids. But a lot of people forget that dogs are still animals. And they are dangerous when they feel uncomfortable and can’t get away.

Absolutely yes they are a fantastic family dog. I was raised with boxers my who life since birth and I could crawl all over ours, pinch them, squeeze them and our boxers would just take it and never ever snapped at me.

My nephew when he was 4/5 years old was in the backyard with my beloved LuLu and started hitting her in the face, she just stood there and took it very patiently. Of course I stopped him. That’s a boxer for you. They know that children are to be protected because they need to be. Baby is lucky to have Dilon!

Thousands of years ago when I was a toddler 🤣 my boxer, Babe, used to let me crawl all over her, pull her ears, and she never complained. She also stationed herself between me and the street. She never let me go past the sidewalk. She was my BEST friend! ♥️

My female boxer decided my 2yo daughter was her puppy. She watched her every move. She slept with her, flipping and flopping over each other...like litter mates. NO ONE except family came near her. A salesman yelled at me at the door one night while my daughter was standing with me. Zena dang near took my screen off! She bent it! After, she wat hed as my 2 boys played "wrestling" with her. Not a care in the world. Great dog!

Very. The breed is built to protect and run the prey to the ground then stand on it. Kids can pull ears bite paws and taste test with food.

They are patient. My poor dog was bitten and tail pulled, and sat upon by my children when they were younger. I had a Dogo male Argentinian (Barney) and a massive American white bulldog boxer cross (George). Two gentle giants. My children are young teens now and we adopted a female lurcher just before Christmas. The two so called aggressive dogs, were like gentlemen compared to the puppy lurcher🤣🐣🇨🇮

Of course Boxer dogs are patient with small kids. they view them a a food source...always dropping food for them to lick up. Why do think that the floors of boxer dog families are so clean.....just sayin
