I miss Juggernaut's victory pose in MSH where he grabs his KO'd opponent and laughs in their face, it looks cool and fits him really well xD

This is one of the reasons why I prefer the older games to MVC2, they just had these little things that could only work in smaller games with smaller rosters, like Rogue's ability steal.
I feel like they could have done Rogue's steal move, but were just being lazy.
And better animation
The problem with MvC2 was both mainly Dreamcast RAM, and CPS2 ROM limits from before that cut animations beforehand. Most characters from before had their MvC and MvSF animation cuts left intact with a few exceptions. Characters from before those games had unique scalebacks made to them just for MvC2. Sentinel is one of the most obvious scalebacks. Apparently there was no way to have 3v3 battles like that without violating the RAM somewhere. It’s probably also why the backgrounds are 3D generated. It would also explain how pixelated Abyss’s third form is. The game still animates good, but it’s just obvious they had to do some things to make this work.
They would’ve needed unique animation for all three of the characters Rogue could steal from if they did it that way. Spiral’s super was reduced to one frame per Marvel character for this reason too. Colossus kept his spin grab, but you notice the way it looks compared to COTA is very simplified. Silver Samurai losing the effects on his sword and also losing the illusion split (same with Psylocke ninjutsu) was probably due to performance, as the game CAN slow down quite frequently. Hell no character has shadows on supers anymore.
They still could have used the unique animations for Rogue's stolen moves, but kept the stat increases when draining characters where it wouldn't make sense. What could she gain from kissing robots like Mega Man and Sentinel other than energy?
Juggernaut's command grab thing in XvSF where he literally pounds you into the ground like you're a Loony Toons character is one of the best animations and it's criminal it was cut in MvC2.
I can't wait to play xmen vs street fighter again in the new collection comin out soon

Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes and X-Men Vs. Street Fighter were arguably the most animation-heavy CPS2 games. Every installment of the MvC franchise after that experienced animation cuts in some form. That's why they still look great almost 30 years later.

Then grabbing the bar is actually really hard because the position has to be exactly perfect. It's not that easy.
Then getting a hit.
That's alot of work when people are dashing in constantly to land a combo on you.

COTA was a very experimental game, it is as far as I know the only fighter to have ground dizzy states with unique animations.
Also the sheer amount of animation frames in the game were incredible, from MSH onwards they reduced them for the COTA cast and did the lesser amount for each newcomer.
COTA's fantastic.
Grab OTGs are goated. Daimon from Kof is the king of this shit. Also the Liefeld tier chest on that colossus sprite is amazing.
Another thing about Colossus: he can set up a safer OTG grab by stunning the opponent with f+HP, which causes a special grounded stun (this only exists in CotA, no other character has been able to do it since then)

I remember Juggernaut had a grab move in X-Men vs Street Fighter where he would bash you into the ground that was borderline useless because of how hard it was to land and how his normal grab having quick recover frames to do a follow up attack which this move didn't which is possibly why it was removed in mvc2

For Colossus, I believe they also removed (in MvC2) the suplex throw from COTA (Forward + Hard punch) that you can turn into a launcher (when the enemy is grabbed, press Back + Hard punch).

It bums me out that they couldn't figure a way to preserve these mechanics in MvC2. Colossus and Juggernaut are still fun in those games but they don't feel like the best versions of themselves.
At the very least they could have made the steel beam an install super for Juggernaut. Imagine whacking one of the airdash runaway characters with that.
I think along the way to mvc2 Juggernaut also lost a line of dialogue or a victory pose. I felt like it was disappointing that all of the mvc characters couldn't be the best version of themselves. It was something so minor, not even a fighting mechanic, but it bothered me and I can't remember what it is. This minor detail is why I tended to start choosing Hulk over Juggernaut.
To be fair mvc2 was a big game at the time fitting all 56 characters with 3v3 tag team fighting it was a lot for the console to process so cuts had to be made

Man I forgot all about those grabs. I remember the Juggernaut grabbing objects in MSH. I hate the removed the anti air grab from Juggernaut in MvC 2 where he pounds them in the ground. Hulk could do the same grab in MSH but rip up the floor and throw it.
Why did this content was cutted in MvsC2, as well as Sentinel's?

What about Colosus's "Knee Hop Combo"? Medium Kick, Weak Punch, ⬇️, Weak Kick, Medium Punch (Anakaris Curse). Omega Red does a taunt to this combo also.
