Friday Flashback #1 - One Armed Bandit @ Historic Winton 2013

Damien Meyer is an ex Australian go kart champion and races in Group S in his MG Midget.
In this race at Winton Short Track in 2013, he started from pole position but had a troublesome gearbox that kept jumping out of gear. As a result he drove most the race with one hand, and successfully navigated the traffic in front to win the race.
Truly a superb bit of driving and worthy for our first Flashback Friday!

So frustrating when a guy has all the grunt in the world compared to the others. But can't drive to save his life. Why on earth was the De-tomaso even in this race against the MG's and Austins?

Group S Racing is Classic Sports cars from the 1950s-1970s, all those cars are classified as such. It makes for great racing. Hope you enjoyed it.
