Friday Flashback #5 - Morgan Phillip Island Classic 2023 - coming through!
@GeofferyKeithMorgan driving is immaculate 1975 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera through the field. Geoff is normally at the front of the field, but a wrong tyre choice in Qualy meant he is starting well back. Watch the first lap or so as he navigates safely through the field. And listen to that sound of the Porsche 911 flat 6 sing all the way past 8000rpm!

Great footage from stop Mt Panorama Bathurst. Great to see Group S cars running there once again since 2020. Shame about the contact between the two Alfa’s, which was one of only two minor car to car contacts over the weekend. Otherwise great racing. I love this racing. It is 100% lost on Supercars, and thier ideology. We have Supercars with bullshit rules and parity. This is 100% real racing.That Mustang is driven well and fast with a but. That Rice burner is one serious fast car.

Wonderful footage. And such a rare old bird, too. The Carrera 3.0 was only made in '76 and '77. I think there were a little over 3500 made (real Porsche guys will correct me, I hope). Great to see such good etiquette, too, from the drivers, with nice, close racing. Such rare old cars are not cheap to purchase or repair and to see them them out on track is a real pleasure. Great stuff!
