Wow, good for you. I personally wouldn’t pay anything close to $7k or consider it in good condition but you did a great job as always!
How bad was the headliner? I can’t think of a time you’ve shown cleaning a headliner.
It's difficult to clean the headliner, you can't wet it too much otherwise the glue beneath the fabric will weaken, causing the material to sag.
Probably best to just buy a new one
Folex and a microfiber does wonders
@@Tom-pe4iwI have the same car as in this video, but I don't smoke and I keep it pristine. The headliner in these things is actually really, really tough. It's like a felt covered piece of vinyl. My cousin was vaping in my car last winter and wanted to blow it out of the sunroof. He vented it and closed the shade. I didn't know until I went to the car wash. No staining or sagging, but I was very pissed.
So crazy how the interior went from tan to grey.
I know, right
Nice results as always
Crazy!!!! The before and after with the seats are like night and day with how clean they came out to be 😮. Amazing flip as usual. 👌
Thanks Jameel, hope you had a great weekend!
@StaufferGarage I bet the blue stuff in the cup holders was from some blue water flavor packets. When those spill, they cause that sort of mess, and they can even stain countertops. It makes sense based on where they were.
Also, anytime you see a cloth seat or armrest that looks ahiny-oily, then it's caused by oils from human skin. If you're wearing shorts, if you're in the car a lot, use your armrest a lot without cleaning it, etc., that's what causes the oily portion of those stains. When it combines with dirt and dust and pollen and nicotine, etc., etc., that's what the end result is.
You done a great job on that car , personally I would change the carpet completely. Would get one from scrapyard to keep the cost down.
That third hand smoke man... it will absorb into ANYONE'S skin and into the bloodstream. Be mindful where you smoke! Amazing job Stauffer
Great video. Love the break down at the end.
Honestly maybe the cup holders are blue fabric dye or paint or slushie drink🧐🤔🤷♀️
I really like these flip project videos.
Yees finally another flipping video love these! Keep em coming much love
Enjoyable and therapeutic video... Amazing & excellent job..
So cool to see! Respect the hustle! Great content!
Great job Stauffer. That Mytee station looks awesome!
That poor previous owner's lungs😢 so much tar on the seats!! I was actually really impressed with the door though.
Incredible seat transformation!👍👍
Wow great job!! Love the videos
I want to get into flipping cars so I definitely appreciate videos like this one.
Good morning, Stauffer! Hope you have a great Memorial Day tomorrow! Nice video by the way!
Do you change the filters inside as well? And killer job!
Love your videos. You stated it took 4 days to buy, register, detail, and re-list… how do you handle the sale without the title since it takes a couple weeks to have it delivered to you? Just curious.
Un très beau résultat obtenue, j'apprécie beaucoup vos vidéos et votre travail😃👌👍
Another great job.👍 would have liked to see the exterior detail. 🚗
Beautiful work indeed!

I would cut out that ripped carpet and add a patch of new carpet or rubber.. Then floor mat over top. That is crazy how bad that carpet was on driver. Must have been some serious high heels!!! Great job !!!
great transformation
Wow, amazing work, car looks like branda new👌
What a great job 👏🏼
Goodmorning Stauffer
Awesome work. 👌.
Well Done!!
I love car flip videos keep making tham
I love your videos. 🥰
I don't usually do disaster details but just did one on a newer rav 4. I used a cheap but great Bissell spot clean Pro with SuperClean and a disinfectant deodorant mix. pump sprayed used drill brush them extracted until liquid was clear. took 35 minutes per corner of car so 2 hrs 20 min to extract. there was only one stain left in back seat which was from chemical customer used that ruined fabric permanently. no downer can remove it.
The paint though was far worse than the disgusting seats and carpet. I had to fly decon twice, compound twice and polish twice. I'm sure I took off half the clear coat but after a total of 7 hours all day on one vehicle, it came out amazing. the customer sold it and gave me a thousand dollars for the restoration as it increased in value 3500$. even the dealer who saw the car again before and after asked me if I could work for them. I said thnks for the compliment but you'd never pay me a grand to do this for you. maybe 200$ if that. and for that reason. I'll just keep doing it for myself.
I'm always inspired by you CZcams pros. learned a lot over the 10 years I've been cleaning cars. keep it up and encouraging us all. thanks for the great videos
People that smoke do not seem to smell the odor. What a great job you did there. What a difference.
of course we dont. unless we dont smoke for a few hours, than we can start to, but largely smokers have no idea how terrible we smell.
Great job
Spectacular results..
You may disagree but what I did to clean my 2000 Camry LE was to take a 2 gallon bucket and fill it with hot water and a microfiber wash cloth. I'm the 4th owner of the Camry. Two of the owners were smokers. I don't smoke. I took the microfiber wash cloth and hot water and washed down half of the front interior of the Camry. It turned the water in the bucket a dark brown. This was just from hot water and a microfiber wash cloth. I try and keep the Camry interior clean. What I don't understand is how the interior can get so dirty when I don't smoke. I'm going to make a route to clean the interior of the Camry every two weeks. There are four burn holes in the fabric of the Camry. Two in the front driver door in the carpet on the door and two in the back sit. The only wear and tear to the carpet of the Camry is on the drivers side of the Camry. No floor mats. The other parts of the carpet are fine. Hardly any wear. I use Meguiar's Ultimate interior Cleaner, and a Meguiar's carpet cleaner. It does fabric too. Thanks much for your video.
I flipped an '03 lexus es300 with 123k miles, bought it for $2700. Put an axle, oil change, cleaned headlights, detailed interior, sold it for $4200. Total spent was around $120, but paid like $300 for insurance because I'm young and had it only for 1 month. That's my most profitable sale.
That’s a hell of a flip man! Plus you got to drive it around and make money after. 👏
@@StaufferGarage insurance was too high, that was the only reason I sold it.
Super Video Thank you Happy Week for you Kiss 😚👌🤟👍
Good job
Awesome detailing!! But what was that tune at 5:02??? That's lit!!! But on another note...I was always wondering: how do you go about making this your dayjob? Did you always do this (on the side perhaps next to your regular job) or was this your dream come true? At some point you have to make a decision right? I quit my "normal" job and do this forever now. Looks kinda scary to me tbh! Using all of your savings, buying equipment, renting some location and hope to get a lot of clients because obviously you're not the only one doing this...
I really do love your videos. I don't know why, but they help me calm down.
But everytime I see a car like that I wonder, how on earth you can enter and drive this. It must have been smelling like hell?! No-one here in Germany would treat his car that bad...
Great job. Love watching the transformation. But is there a limit of the amount of cars you can flip in a year?
Don't know how you could be in that car with shorts and sandals. I would have been wearing a hazmat suit!! LOL!!
you are the best 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷
Holy crap...I need that vacuum extractor combo! I love my little Mightee but I've found I definitely need a larger one. A combo though? Never knew it existed. That thing is badass! I bet it's freaking expensive though.
It’s expensive but also has a setup with 3 sprayers so you can put your go to products in it and connect compressed air.
Here’s the link: www.mytee.com/products/80-120-prep-center-s-w-heat/
@@StaufferGarage yeah...must have. Thanks for the link!
If a prior owner is going to neglect the interior as bad as they did, I bet the engine, suspension, transmission, brakes, body etc. are equally as bad. I can’t imagine flipping a car without ANY other repair work done on this car. A clean car is useless when the engine breaks down and the driver is stranded somewhere.
Great job like always! Really like the flip videos! I'm thinking of starting my own CZcams detailing channel, but don't know what camera to use. Can you please tell me with what do you film your videos? Keep up the good work!
I use a Panasonic GH4 but I wouldn't even worry about that! IF you got a newer phone from the last 3-4 years, that is plenty. Just get a tripod to hold your phone and start creating
Thanks a lot! That was what i needed!
Happy to help
Great job as always… good flip for the $$
Detailing a 2011 Subaru Forester to flip. Been doing it since 2008 got to make them look good. And good photos
how are the steamed speakers?
Potatoes and bbq sauce lol nice. You need some loose shredded cheese on that plate to make it a meal.
Question, did the steam cleaner scratch the plastic around the shifter knob?
Where would you recommend getting this sort of vehicle from? Facebook market place or copart? A Vehicle that mostly needs detailing
Are you mixing the flex with the bio break or is it actually oxi clean you use?
There's no doubt that you did an outstanding job, but that smoke smell is so deeply embedded in this poor vehicle that it'll never totally be eradicated!
What is the steam extractor machine you used?
How did you deal with the headliner? I bet it was a pain.
Have you ever caused damage w/ the steamer? I am always afraid to hit the controls on the door or radio when I detail my cars
Hey mate, wanted to ask what steamer you are using?
Do you have a link the the steamer?
your all purpose cleaner works on fabrics too ?
What is the model and where you bought your ozone generator? 😊
Damn! That thing needs reupholstered!!
Just thought I’d let you know, the part from 1:41 to approx 4:21 is repeated twice. The same clips appear from 4:21 to 6:03 ish
Thank you for letting me know! Just clipped it out and should be fixed shortly once youtube processes the cut!
I thought my phone was tripping out I even refreshed it 😅
My video was completely out of sync aswell voice didn't match what was being shown
@@StaufferGarage also, audio on the video cuts out from @4:36 to @5:17.
P.S. been watching your stuff for years!
Thanks Brett!
This is kind of the reason why I stopped wanting used vehicles. Many sellers would either tell me they don't know or that prior owner wasn't a smoker. Then i find out down the road when relying on the heater during winter the prior owner was very much a smoker as it would cause a very nasty residue to end up on my interior window that is absolutely a pain to clean off.
I don't say this to minimize what you've done as the before and after is amazing, just that doing the Ozone for the air system does leave tar build up in the air flow system, especially when someone is a heavy smoker/vaper.
What ozone machine do you use? Do you mind linking it?
Vejo seus vídeos do Brasil, poderia colocar um tradutor, parabéns pelo trabalho
Text translation or verbal?
What lens do you have on that camera?
What about the headliner?
After the work has been done, do you sell the cars yourself or sell them to a dealer like Carmax?
How do you find these dirty cars. I struggle to find any online for sale.
50k and I’ll take a swig 👌
People think that floor mats are a waste of money. They need to see this video. They are a lot cheaper than the whole piece of OEM carpet.
You use mobile mechanics, and auctions only, and what kind of dealer license you have?
You did a good job, but still no way you're ever getting all the cigarette smell out. You'd have to take it down to bare metal and clean or replace anything that smoke could have left tar on. For anyone else considering this, dont forget to replace the cabin air filter and use multiple cans of ac evaporator cleaner. The heater core would be hard to clean.
I love your videos but I don't think you meant to repeat the intro
No i didnt, thank you! Just fixed that
Don't know if its for sale kr not but very interested in that Toyota RAV4 @ Stauffer Garage.
Was there still a smoke smell after you cleaned it?
How long do you leave the ozone machine in?
Depends on the car but for this one I did 30 minutes
Con menos recurso y más ganas, te da 1000 vueltas jrb motors
What year was it ?
When you have a heavy smoker car like this, I bet the headliner is nasty. Can you show how you clean headliners in a future video?
Yes I can. I think I should make a dedicated video just for that
@@StaufferGarage That would be awesome!
When i do cars i have ever customer sign a form that says they have read my rules and what happens if they do not pay and in there for cars like this one it says there is a additional 75 dollar charge
What year was this rav4?
Watching things literally change color as you clean them is wild (3:48, 6:30). What's even wilder? As much of that gunk as you managed to extract from the vehicle, exponentially more of it was ending up in the previous owner's lungs. I'd drink a sip EACH of Juice #1 (7:18) and Juice #2 (21:57) before I'd take up smoking 😓
Also, how often do you have to replace your microfiber towels, brushes, drill attachments, etc.? I know there's some degree of reusability, but I'm sure between regular use and/or occasionally coming across weird stuff like the blue gunk (13:40), you have to get a new one.
It’s nicotine residue on the seats. I used to clean an office that the entire crew smoked. The ceiling and walls were covered in this yellowish brown tar. It would just roll down the walls when I cleaned with degreaser.
I don’t understand why the steam doesn’t harm the electronics
I’m assuming that he disconnects the battery, and gives them time to air dry before hooking it back up.
Do you use an ozone machine as well?
Yes, it was at the end of the video
what about the headliner
😃✅👍🏻
Maybe in the cup holder was an ink or something like this...
Great video, thank you for the content. Your sound track was out of sync with the video. Just wanted to help
Would you have got more if you washed the outside of the car?
Doesn’t every car have standard floormats?
I’ve got 2 sets in my car; 1 set original floormats and on top of those, generic cheap rubber ones.
Wonder what the blue thing was
Part 2 exetrior ?
Blue stuff = Crayon!!!
3500??? I would’ve got one like that for 1500 easily
Legitimately dont think i could sip the juice for less than 5 digits lol. Thats a hospital trip
