Vacuum, steamer, extractor, tools and the micro fiber towels (and obviously the cleaning solutions too). And an air hose makes things easier, but it’s not a MUST HAVE.

Just some corrections - the doors are fiberglass skinned & all the display switches in the Centre console activate display options in the driver’s dash not the Centre. The Centre is an information display the car will initiate if there is a problem such as service engine soon light.

My favorite is extraction. Love seeing the instant transformation. Then I like vacuuming. Again, it’s amazing how your 80/20 saying is correct with that.

I really wish I could find a true detailer like this. We have a 2010 “clean” Denali that doesn’t get driven enough and it smells horrible because a mouse or maybe mice died in it. I’ve wiped it down, vacuumed, tried cleaning it in the basic ways I know how, there’s no food in it, we love it so much but I can not get that smell out of it. It’s such a nice vehicle but that smell is horrible. I’ve been trying to find a good detailer but since it “looks clean” I don’t think they even do anything to it and we still pay for a “full detail”. Where are you located lol. Help me.

the owner should feel ashamed. He or she deserves an old bicycle but not a car. The condition of the car tells a lot of the character of the owner. I even wash my car before I bring it to the workshop for maintenance.

I have been detailing cars for 40 years. There are several redundant processes you are doing you don't have to and I think you might be missing a few as well. I am not "Trashing you", just, I don't get it. What was the foam for in the beginning, the spray? Because you are going to rub it out, you can use dish soap which will strip the wax as well as using a lamb skin Chamois. Cut's down on all the steps you have there. I didn't see you degrease the door jams, was that edited out? The more you can get in the wash the better. Do your diluted muratic acid wash on the wheels and tires, then degrease the door jams, scrub the rubber then hose it off. Now wash the car with dish soap that will strip the wax of and dry it with a Chamois. Now clay bar it. But first, pop the hood and place a bath towel under the hood and up above the wipers, tuck it under so any compound splatter from wheeling it out won't get in the wipers or the cowl. I have never seen anyone tape off the trim before; To each their own i suppose. 000 grade steel wool will not scratch chrome bumpers, it is inexpensive and it lasts a long time. Wheeling out a chrome bumper... hmmm. Don't they still make Chrome polish? talk to a guy with a Harley and ask him to show you what he does. I use Mothers Mag Wheel polish on headlights. Deet can crack the acrylic/plastic material on older cars. Mothers just put a little on a cloth and rub it in with your fingers then wipe it away and you are good for six months. -- Not on your high end cars that have sound deadening cloth in the wheel wells but certainly on a Chevy you take a can of flat black spray paint and paint the wheel wells to make the finished car pop! Simple, one can should do it. If you get any water on the inside of the vehicle, crack the rear windows just a bit, put the heater on high on the floor and ideally park it in the sun and cook it out; Any and all odor will disappear. Go to a Car show that is being judged and get a copy of what the judges are looking for. Incorporate that in your processes based on time and meticulous nature. Wax under the hood, observe and make note of where light reflects, watch people when they see their car and listen to what they see and comment on. It was an interesting video. I like watching these. I wish i had seen it sooner, maybe save you a lot of time.

So question….with smells and stuff, typically I hear to run an ozone generator if I have one. I am hearing everything from 5 mins to 12 hours. How long do you run these things for? I wanna get the smells out but don’t wanna damage the clients car.

Love what you do…being in the Office/Residential Cleaning business for over 25 years, I appreciate what you do…That being said, you mentioned wearing eye glasses where pressure washing areas…I would add to that, wearing Rubber Boots, thin hazmat suits and face protection…You’re spraying all the Gack on your Flip-Flop wearing feet and bare arms & legs…???

9:22 I had something similar in my old car, it was an actual switch that was designed to go in a car though. I’d almost bet money someone had a sound system in there and the switch was used to turn on and off the amp so it’s not running every time you drive.
