Isn't he though!?! My late father who passed away at 94 yrs old in Jan. of this year, said the same thing after Thanksgiving last year! This animal is crazy! He climbs trees like a cat to try and chase squirrels. I have some hilarious vids of all my crazy animals on my channel! My bees too! Thanks for watching! More to come! Keep watching!

I love Tijuana and I’ve seen one in the wild they’re ver similar to yours . You can tell by the long tail, the ears and if they constantly howl instead of bark since barking is something they learn through socialization with dogs that often bark

Oh he howls alright! He snuck off one nite to visit some females down the bayou, and the neighbors called and said he just showed up. I went and tried to bring him home, but he wasn't having any of that ! He growled and bit me, soo had to go get my German Sheppard at home and bring him to meet the WOLF AND CALM HIM DOWN! IT WORKED! I brought the "wolf" home, and he howled for 3 days and nites! I have other vids on my channel of him hunting rats and climbing trees! It's hilarious! His name is Cujo, but he hates that name! I figured out that the people who had him before, usta get mad at him, and call him Cujo and beat him for not listening! He always ignored me, until I started calling him WOLF! HE LISTENS WAY BETTER NOW! Calupohs look a Lil different in the breed, as it has variations, but all the ones I've seen are black, with white patches on the chest and toes! Wild dogs, across America look exactly like MY Cajun Calupoh! Thanks fur WATCHIN!!

My daughter got him from a shelter. They told her it was a German Sheppard mix. They are partly right. They are a mix of, Alaskan Malmute, Siberian Husky, GSD, and grey wolf. But shelters wont rehome wolfdogs for liability reasons. I dont know of any local beeders. They are rare in Mexico. Only a handful of breeders. If you do get one, remember its a wolf and has very little dog traits or attitudes. They are hardheaded and not easy to train. Very intelligent and crafty. Just like a wolf! Do your homework and you better have alot of time to play and chase small rats and other assorted fauna with them. They require alot of interaction and are companion animals. Mine always has to be by me, alla time. Unless he's chasing down a rat or STRAY cat. He has his OWN CAT TO PLAY WITH. They dont have any dog stink like all dogs do. They keep themselves clean and you better get a bicycle to trim their claws. They dont like anyone to handle their paws. They use em to hunt and catch food. So they know they must protect them to eat! He is a great dog. Once i figured out how to manage him. I wish u well with one. If u can find one!

@@kortgreen7725 I am a pretty athletic, hi energy person so sounds like something I can be compatible with. I’m actually half Mexican and my mom is from that country so I am going to look into finding out where I can get one in Mexico as that’s where they originated from and I probably won’t be able to get a puppy here in Hawaii.

@@Zayn913 fer sure! They need lots of room to run and play, as well as hunting time. Just be careful taking them for car rides! Wolves love to travel in packs! And if you, their alpha leader, can take the pack out to explore THEIR territory, and all they gotta do is hang their heads out the window and, SNIFF and DROOL. THATS WOLF HEAVEN RIGHT THERE! Just make sure to leave the window down enough, so they can only stick out their heads. Mine jumped out after a squirrel once. Thank God i was going slow! They also like to roam and dig. U need a fenced in yard and dig guards under it! They are VERY intelligent and cunning like a wolf. And independent and hardheaded. When he's misbehaving or not listening, and have i to raise my voice, he automatically goes and gets in his hammock in his kennel. Because thats how i correct him. 24 hrs kennel time for serious infractions! I dont have to tell him anymore. Just my loud alpha wolf, voice, lets him know, im not happy and he KNOWS its KENNEL TIME!But just be patient and give them lots of praises for correct behavior. And dont ever hit em! They have excellent memories, and don't forget who mistreats them. My veterinarian cant get near him after she stuck the crap out of him with needles, for heart worm treatments. Hes not welcome there unless i dope him up first and he's sedated. He never bit ME, in anger though! I let him bite my arm and pull me down to the ground while im fake screaming and crying. He REALLY gets into it then! He started to shake on me, ONCE and i had to correct him in German like i do with all the dogs i train. We play like wolves do and he loves to play tug o war and climb trees. Check out my channel for recently uploaded vids! They are UHMAAZZINN animals! I wish u well with yours! Best dog i ever had! And i had some exceptional ones!

Look online! Im going to finally break down and do an embark test to see if he really is a Calupoh. From what ive seen so far, it is highly likely that he is a Calupoh! There are a few breeders in Mexico. Maybe some in US by now!
