    Very nice Ravi!
    I didn't know about the left Amiga audio channel being able to mix the stereo sound. I thought I would have needed one of those new mixers that you plug to the L R channels instead! :-)

      @Djformula  Před 6 lety +2

      yeh I think those new mixers do proper stereo and this is a quick fix. Learnt if from Akira and Hoffman :)

    Great video Ravi, was intrigued to see what your setup was after catching the video from the set in Nottingham, and this video answered that curiosity perfectly. Will seek out the podcast!

      amigaoldskool cheers I think chart would be hard to keep up lol but I will do ‘tune of the month’ and cover new releases. Aiming to have the show around an hour and a half

    I think things will get much more interesting for you once you get into the 7/8 channels through the 4 channels buisness that some newer trackers brought to the table.
    Time to get more stuff than only protracker on it to take it to the next level.

    Great video Ravi. Just makes me want to create a setup like this even more. If only my to do list wasn't so long :) Hoping Akira will release theat updated PT-1210 which has been promised quite some time ago already. Would you also inform us where we can find some nice mod packs, e.g. in your new podcast? BTW could you point us to some brand / model of screens (and maybe even ebay links)? Thx!

      @Djformula  Před 6 lety

      Yeh totally! designing, the show at the moment, will mention mod and sample packs :) might have them available to download. I would love an update, my dream is to have .xm playing that would bring it to a whole new level

    Ravi, will the new show include seeing you "in action" doing the mixing etc so we can get a feel on how it's done? Nice setup by the way :)

    Hi Ravi - I can't find the mix on 8bitmix.com - is there a problem with the site or am I just not looking in the right place :-)

    • @Djformula
      @Djformula  Před 6 lety

      Ahh yes the site decided to update the day after release and went mad lol. The Episode is available on SoundCloud at the moment, but everything will be update this week as I had to submit to iTunes etc.

    The title is very misleading... I stopped watching as soon as I saw you were using a 32-bit Amiga 1200. It implies you are using an 8-bit computer like the C64.
    The original Commodore Amiga (500, 1000) was 16-bit. Later models, like the version you have (the Amiga 1200) used the AA chipset and are 32-bit.

    • @Djformula
      @Djformula  Před 6 lety +4

      Errrm the Amiga Music is an 8 Bitrate PCM I am not implying anything. That is YOUR assumption. All the Amiga sound was 8bit.

    • @mark12358
      @mark12358 Před 6 lety +1

      True! 8bit PCM and a very good S/N ratio (around 70db if I guess well)! Great video, nice setup, awesome music! And yes, that trick works with any A600/A1200/A4000 Amiga, although I was pretty sure it worked for both right OR left plug, not sure. Cheers, M

      @stefansender2634 Před 6 lety

      This actually would be an assumption made by the vast majority of people who dealt with those computers. When you're at NOVA next time (or if the lads convince you to visit another party in the meantime) I'm sure someone will be able to explain why the title might seem to be misleading :-)
      Basically, in the context of the old machines "8 bit" refers mostly to the CPU architecture rather to a bit depth (here called the "bitrate" I believe by mistake (bitrate is a number of bits transmitted/played in one second)) of the sound chip. And Paula - the very chip, can actually play 14 bit audio with some software trickery :-)
      Nice movie from NOVA btw!

    • @Djformula
      @Djformula  Před 6 lety

      I don't think the title is misleading. The Term 8bit has been slapped on everything these days. I understand that the c64 people might get a bit confused but I am not really aiming for them. It is at a bitrate of 8 and understand Paula can do 14-bit but I am not playing any 14bit tunes...

    • @stefansender2634
      @stefansender2634 Před 6 lety

      I mean, you can all it whatever you want, just don't be surprised that some people will be confused :-)
      Also, it's NOT "bitrate", it's just a "bit depth" :-)
      btw is that music available somewhere? 8bitmix.com is up but there is not too much there...
