- Some time ago my DBforgoods channel was deleted for violating copyright. As most of the videos had no problems, I decided to repost some that I haven't seen around. Many of them were extracted from episodes of the Old Grey Whistle Test, posted by a You Tube channel that unfortunately no longer exists. My gratitude to the person who made these historical archives available.
The voice. No one touches it these days. So original.
A very young Nicko McBrain on the drums Streetwalkers were a great band And "Red Card" is a superb if underrated album
Bob Tench, great vocals !!!! thank you for the video.
When I was about 12 -(54 now sadly!!)- my hip and still cool Dad said "son get ya lugs around this masterpiece and what was it I hear? Red Card and it blew my little old lugs clean off!!! Every song just elevated me to this orgasmic crescendo that my 12year old body was in no fit state to properly understand but gosh darn it Dad I loved and this little Scouser blue Scouser I must add never properly thanked Pops, thanx Dad and for Zeppelin, The Doors, Pentangle, god sorry Zappa and many more!! Here endeth the parade to my Dad who I love dearly.
Roger Chapman & Charie Whitney ... superbs !
Nicko is still one of my heroes, although I never listened to an Iron Maiden song all the way through..."Red Card", however, I still play a couple of times a week and still haven't been able to replicate Nicko's powerful groove on that record...fucking all around brilliant playing!!!
Weltklasse !
Chappo and Charlie are the best!
Saw these guys back up The Who in '76. Started buying their records after that! Great old band.
I love Streetwalkers and Roger Chapman.
The real goat.
Why did I waste my money on grunge alt rock new 90s ska or that ill advised Dave Matthew brief phase when in 93 or so I could of looked this up not 30 years later??? Family Chappo is tough...Chappo +Nicko = boffo!
it's never late : )
