For the people who have never watched one of their mobile home renovations, you are going to be amazed at the end result!
You never need to think your videos are boring because there is always something diyfferent every time…even when you do the same thing as before. Love you guys!
I'm loving the more frequent videos!! I know it's a lot of work to create content but you guys are killing it, keep up the good work!
Hi Doug Ashley & kids,I love how you keep your homes so neat & clean.Inside & out.I so admire your work ethics Doug & Ashley.❤️
Ashley and Doug you never disappoint. Each project is an adventure. ☺️
You all are really cranking out the content! No complaints here. Keep em coming!❤️
Best channel on CZcams
Thanks!!
That 80es mobile home will be better built than a new one by the time you are finished with it.😂 The mobile home industry could take a few tips from you. Love you guys! Thanks for sharing your videos. Loved all the nature sights and sounds in the video!! I can totally understand why you all are enjoying living in that area.😘
Just want to say that we enjoy your videos very much. Thank you for sharing.
I also want to say, Ashley…I miss hearing you say “see ya” as your ending. lol 😃
I sometimes say it for ya!
Bye Maverick! Love Doug's sense of humor and that Ashley laughs at his jokes. Very fun !
I love the little guys "bye" at the end it makes my day he's so sweet ❤
Love the sound of the honeybees! Our girls will be stuck in their homes for at least another 4 months! -8° here today!
Project is looking great!
🌲 🐝
Its going to be a gorgeous spring. The whole world needs an unloosening.
Neat glad the bees have some flowers during this dearth lol.
I think in the Netherlands we would use the room with the bayview as the sittingroom, for a beautiful view on the garden/outside
And the kitchen where the front and stormdoor is
The home is coming along great. You both are doing a fantastic job. I can’t remember if I have said it before but your children are a credit to you both. So we'll behaved and have the ability to keep themselves amused without getting into trouble.
I saw Miss B crawling out from under the place looking for interesting bugs 🐛 😊 lol we need to see more art from her ❤
Nice to see the bees doing a great job. Things are looking good. I am excited for the next video.
Eliminating the door is brilliant. A third door on such a small home isn't needed plus it impacts the floorplan and furniture placement. Thinking ahead during such a massive undertaking is wise. That is why Ashley and Doug's projects are so appealing and their homes sell so quickly. I appreciate and always learn so much from their videos.
Ashley cracks me up! "I don't care which way it goes!" 😂
Good job kids! The cleanup was good to keep your worksite free of debris and more safe!
I'm so glad to see the bees. We purposefully planted shrubs and plants especially for the bees here. Wow...that bus holds a lot!
I love that little voice saying good bye and no Doug it's not you LOL :). HI Mav. I can't wait to see it all painted. Thanks guys for poppin up today. God Bless. Love , Granny
This reno has also shown all,of us your resilience when you come across problems and I have enjoyed watching the progress. I truly believe this has helped many people who have mobile homes and are not sure how to tackle jobs. I love seeing Belle and Maverick checking out the yard for treasures❤❤.
I have been watching from the beginning of your channel. Out in the country/diyfferent always gets the job done. There is 0 question that any home you touch is going to be beautiful.
Great job on the renovation. I really like the changes you're making. Have a blessed week!
I bet because of you guys, I few of these junked mobile homes get a brand new life.
I know they are not selling it but I think it would dramatically improve the home if they build a big wrap around porch from the front to the back, at least on the kitchen end and maybe patio doors to replace the old kitchen windows. Design a big porch roof. It could make everything look new and welcoming. Maybe even screen it in.
I love hearing the rooster crowing in the background. It reminds me of being at my uncle's farm years ago.
Wow! Maple blossoms and honey bees in January. And we're experiencing the coldest weather in 30 years where I'm at. ❄❄
I’m in southeast corner of Georgia and it’s going to be 24 degrees in a couple hours
It’s probably just me but I always enjoy the clean up videos, even better than the demolition videos. Good work.
I’ve seen what you guys can do with a mobile home, gonna look nice!
Must feel great to have the yard picked up! Love those drip caps over the door. They look like a great idea! The only reason one might want that third door is for fire safety. On camera the home looks pretty long, and it looks like the other two doors are opposite each other so if you couldn't get to that part of the house, you might panic and feel stuck. The door would be nice to have. Certainly someone could always use a window but oftentimes mobile home owners are the older generation and not so spry. Smart thinking about the dumpster. Great that you have the new door knobs in.
Windows are for egress as well. Typically most mobile homes and site-built homes only have 2 exterior doors, and with our new layout we just don't need this corner door anymore.
Your videos are never boring, I can sit for hours watching people work 😂
Yes, it looks shabby now, but we've seen you work miracles before. I have faith this "worthless" mobile home will transform into a work of beauty in due time. And watching the transformation is quite entertaining for us, your viewers. 😊
You reminded me of your prior mobile home today and just how adorable it turned out! I am excited about your vision for this place! I love your creativity! :) Love you guys!
I bet the bees nest is in one of the oak trees, nice find.
Oh my goodness. I so enjoy the night noises. I miss the birds, frogs and various life sounds while it’s winter and frozen around here in Indiana.
Good job you all!! It’s coming along real quick!
I do t like bugs at all as I am afraid of them, but I have respect for Bees and pollination. Just beautiful to see.
You guys are so organized that’s so awesome love it🤗
Cannot wait for the next episode!
You're bee's are so beautiful and large, thank you for a smile. It's 9° where I am. Great job at your cleaning job !😊
What a HUGE TRANSFORMATION you are styling!!! 🥰🎶❤️🎶 🏡 !!! You have a strong sense of design and execute it very well!!! 🥰🎶❤️🎶🏡🏡🏡🇨🇦
Your videos never disappoint me. Moving along nicely.
Another informative video Doug & Ashley looking forward to the next video❤️🇨🇦
I’m glad that you explained what you’re going to do with the outside of the mobile home! I was wondering!
If anyone can make over this mobile home, it's you guys. I remember the one you did before.. was it in Indiana or Michigan? Anyway great work.
We did the red/white singlewide in Indiana, and the doublewide in Michigan :) Thanks!
Do the neighbors come over and ask questions on you redoing this? I can't wait to watch the entire process. Loved the red and white trailer you did as well as the double wide and barn. If anyone can turn a sows ear into a silk purse, it's you two. ❤
@@peggynorton5145 Thank you! They glance over, but they don't ask anything :)
I bet you are loving that it's nice to work outside without jackets most of the year. Big change from Michigan!
We've been under a wind chill warning here in Minnesota for several days...35 below.
Smart idea to use the butyl tape over the door. Doesn't matter about the outside as much as the inside. No matter what you decide to work on I still enjoy your video's.
Gosh all the bees. We need to see Belle and Master Maverick. Miss these two beauties. Ahh, there they are. Two special children
I wonder what color you will paint the house ? Contrasting decking? I just know that it will be beautiful when you get done ❤
It’s all coming together. It’s a ‘Cinderella’ mobile home!
Looking good guys! It takes me back to the days of the red and white coach you did a long time ago!
This place is going to be sharp!
Thanks for sharing👍🏻
When complete if you ever sell, now one will buy a better refurbished home. You and Ashley do an amazing job. Thank you for sharing a little piece of your work and life with us.
It's good to clean as you go. Otherwise, it's overwhelming. I'm looking forward to what the inside plan is going to be 😊
NEAT CLEAN UP GOD BLESS
Thanks for the explanation, but I am just sitting back and enjoying the show, knowing that you will work wonders. Everything that you two have finished ends up looking great.
Bye Maverick. I hope you have a fun day.
I love maverick's bye at the end of each video.
A clean worksite is a safe worksite. Too many people think the work is done before cleaning up. I'm a clean as I go type. Good progress.
Doug, Ashley, your video output the last couple of months. Than you for the content. Becareful not to burn out.
While you are having signs of spring, there's sNOw out my window 😑Normally I don't really enjoy the sound of bees, but I'd trade it for the sNOw here in a instant! I knew why the outside siding is all pieced together like that (manufacturers had some funny design ideas for mobile homes😀) I can't wait to see what colors you choose! Those new doors are sooooo nice!
Hi Ashley and Doug, the drip caps are a good idea. I was wondering if you were keeping the three doors. I know you will pick the best practical layout for your home. Having two door’s makes sense.
I have never given a thought to the way the home looks on the outside, except to know that you will make it look awesome when you are ready. I think you are very smart to gather all of the trash from the work on the mobile home and take it home until you have enough to fill a dumpster - that just makes a lot of sense. Take care, I look forward to the next step in the rebuild of this mobile home. 😊
It’s looking good.
I live in a mobile home park. Police responded to to call about burglars in the process of a break in. They got in their car and took off towards my street hoping there was another way out…there isn’t. Instead the thieves drove through my front garden trying to make another way out between my home and cars. In trying todo that they took out my mailbox, an evergreen tree, damaged the corner of my home and hit the side of my car with little damage. There were at least six police cars. The police blocked them in and held a gun on the car and eventually got them arrested.
That was a good decision to eliminate that third door
One of the smartest things you ever did was to buy that bus
So glad you’re eliminating the unnecessary door in the kitchen area. It was a waste of valuable cabinet/floor/wall space. I’m excited to see the rebuild of this trailer. Good work guys!
Looking good I look forward to the painting on the outside 😊❤❤😊
They do my Elaeagnus like that to. It sounds like I am standing by a bunch of bee hives.
I agree with you on the door. No need for 3 doors in that home. That would only take away space needed to put furniture or windows. Hey you should give that Maverick a drill to unscrew those nuts along the edge where he can do it while you work on the other end. He would feel sooooo proud helping you like that. I KNOW he can do it. Loving his little bye at the end. So sweet! ALSO you may not have thought about this, and might not WANT to think about it.....lol but your kids are getting older AND that home could wind up to be for one of them. Time flies by and it would be sooooo nice for one of them in the future.
My first home that I bought was a mobile home, very similar to that mobile home. It had the same design at the front, very popular during that time. It had fake wood grain as the fancy part. Mine also had a bay window in the front kitchen. I sure did like that place. I wish that I had of taken pictures of it.
It's grate to see the Bees ! As I don't see them as much as I was Yung
I confident the mobile home will look brand new when you finish everything. This is a big project but it’s looking 👀 great already
I remember the red/white mobile up north which is why I started watching the channel. This one will look good too.
I have been watching your videos for a long time and I have no doubts that you both will make this mobile home beautiful. Thanks for sharing
I agree with removing the 3rd door! Especially in a mobile home where space is already limited. 👍🏻
Cleaning and painting the siding will absolutely _transform_ this place for sure! I'm so excited!! It's going to be *EPIC* !!! 😎
It sure will be epic, haha :D
Does anyone remember, or even see, the mobile that they refurbished in Indiana? The one next to the little Church? They did a fantastic reno on that one and it turned out beautiful! Then on to Michigan, that one was much larger with barns and other outbuilding that they rehabed. They also were beautifully finished!
@@lindajwilson9848 I believe it was an old school house, not a church, and yes, I followed them for that journey as well. That's how I know this reno will blow that one out of the water! 😉😁
Your clean up makes sense. You will have more time to gather trash and just fill up a dumpster without being hurried for time. Getting rid of that door was a good decision as well. Looking good!
I was watching when you redid the little moble home before! It was fantastic!
Anything you do always looks nice when you are done. ❤❤❤
Did you ever finish and install your metal kitchen cabinets and sink? I really wanted to see the completed kitchen, but can’t seem to locate that video. Thanks. So impressed at all you two do.
This winter weather has been not ideal for finishing wood and such. So we're just not working on the kitchen at this time. We have a nice temp kitchen setup that handles our needs very well, so we're fine for the time being.
I'm so glad to hear that you're getting rid of the 3rd door ... so much available floor/wall space without it there ... I think this will be a nice little home, for whatever you choose to do with it
Try washing the outside with 30 second cleaner from Lowes. It works miracles.
Great episode! Just a suggestion, Doug please wear safety glasses when cutting metal. I'd hate to have you lose an eye. Love you guys!
If people want to know the extent of your skill, they need to watch they should watch your playlist for renovating the 1979 single wide. 😊
Hi Ashley and Doug! Got a lot done this day👍...Smart plan to wait on the dumpster even though it is added work. Luv watching!🙋❤🙏
Hopefully, you won't find any more hidden rot or bug damage. But you did. Like you said better to find it. From the roster in the background, you can get local fresh eggs [lucky you]. Why did they have 3 doors, to begin with? Normal hames don't have 3 doors. Fantastic work, as usual.
I guess the manufacturer just decided to add an extra door on this mobile home :) Thanks!
I know the outside I’ll be beautiful when you’ve completed the work. ❤️😁
You ever think about putting one of those drip caps above each window? It would protect in the same way since those windows ended up leaking just as badly as the doors. It would also make all of the openings to the exterior look uniform.
A agree, and I'm wondering if the roof shouldn't be a priority, considering all the rot that's been removed and the wetness Doug found in the roof recently.
Loving the frequent updates! I can really appreciate all the hard work every step of the way. Bye Maverick!!! 👋
We try to do everything in an order that makes the most sense for us. Right now we are repairing the siding and framing. In doing that we sometimes have to disturb the roof edge where it attaches to the mobile home. And sometimes we find new leaks that we weren't aware of. So it makes sense to patch those spots first, as we work. Then the roof patch needs 30 days to cure before coating the roof. If we did the roof first, it would just make it harder to fix the walls without creating new leaks in our new roof coating.
The windows are a little different than the doors because they are installed under the upper siding panels. And window leaks often happen in the sill. So the drip caps wouldn't offer much protection.
Lowe’s has bleach that is 7% SH mix with water in a pump up sprayer and spray the walls let set for 5 to 10 min and rinse with water that will clean all the outside ready for paint if you where close to me I would come clean it for free but not sure your location
I clean houses and trailer all the time and that what I use work great
Good idea to save the rubbish to make it more economical with dumpsters.
I use the same logic with washing. I wait for the load to be big enough.
Two tone is going to look pretty nice. 👏❤
You painted the other mobile home beautifully!!!!
I just wanted to tell you guys and I love hearing them chickens in the background that's awesome..... I don't think they're your chickens but they sound great
A couple of the neighbors there have chickens :)
LOVE hearing that loud cricket sound at your new property as well!
It’s a diamond in the rough🎉🎉
Hi guys !, if you are concerned about some of those holes in the siding, take some of the putty tape and roll a small ball of it to warm it up and use it to fill the holes ,this will hold until you can come back and repair/replace the sections of siding, but in the meantime, the putty should keep any water out
It's coming along, and hopefully, this cold snap isn't affecting you all. It's really cold here in lower Alabama. 🥶
You both work so hard. Proud of you for your progress.
I love clean work spaces gives me a sense of accomplishment.
Looking good and I know just what you are working against in all of that. That was the size of our first home for 10 years while being in the service of our military world. It was new to me because I always grew up in big old two story homes in the city. It was an experience and I did grow to love the cozy and homey feeling it felt. My husband was tdy or pcs forever it seems so it was perfect for the little ones and myself. I think it is going to be fabulous when you get it done. You two are magic when it comes to this repair and make new structures or redo the old to the new. Love to watch your show and see some of your "tricks of the trade" so to speak. Have a great rest of week.
Blessings
Doug, I find the renovation projects endlessly fascinating! Thank you for all your great tips and explanations.
